For those of you who buy that old urban legend of the estrogen in soy giving you man-boobs, I point out that that happened in ONE documented case to a man with other bizarre medical issues. Over a billion people eat soy regularly as a staple food with no ill effects such as much of Asia. Every man's body naturally produces estrogen. Soy, per se, is not detrimental to your health; HOW soy is grown and processed may give rise to concerns.
Thank you and congrats on earning a pinned comment. The only thing that wears me down more than the "ingredient police" are the "misinformed ingredient police". I'd point to MSG as another example. Unless people have specific medical issues with soy, I believe that it is 100% safe to consume.
As a woman too much soy can really mess with my hormones. If I have too much I can feel very hormonal and anxious. I have a wonky thyroid so that may be why. So for some too much bioidentical "hormones", if eaten in large amounts, can put your hormones in flux. But I agree with you, everyone is different.
Not exactly! There’s no denying that it’s estrogenic. Exactly how much it affects you, and how much you eat is part of it, but don’t deny it’s estrogenic, because it is. I’m not saying it’s not safe, or you will get instant moobs, but fact is it’s estrogenic. It’s no an urban legend, it’s a clinical fact.
Our Costco finally got them in and I was there to grab a box. I wanted to buy two but was very cautious since I wasn't 100% sure of Serious Keto's review (only because everyone's taste is different and so I was skeptical). Let me tell you....these are AMAZING!!!!!! It is a life changer for an old Italian dude like myself! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for leading me to these. I have had so many bad experiences with these types of noodles and I was grinning from ear to ear as soon as I cut the bag open and did not have to catch a smell of "Ocean Death" like all of the other products. Then after a simple rinse, I threw them in a skillet, added some flavored oil, parmesan, cracked pepper and was shocked how the noodles held everything together! It tasted as close as it can get to the real pasta. Darn close!!! It is truly a life changer for me. I can literally have 2 bags and walk away with just 120 calories and zero carbs! Add some sauce and it will still fall way short of 400 calories for basically a ton of pasta! WOW!!! I'm headed back to Costco for more.
I found these ( Healthy Noodle) at Costco finally and went home and made a quick mac & cheese type dish w/ cream, garlic, salt, pepper and a little creole seasoning and this is far and away the best noodle substitute I've found. These are outstanding compared to the other alternatives, especially the Shirataki noodles. Should work great with Marinara, Alfredo or in a stir fry. Thank God!!! If you miss pasta, give it a try
The look on your face when you smelled the Miracle noodles was priceless and your (positive) micro-expressions every time you taste the Healthy Noodles says it all. Thanks for being willing to be the guinea pig on these - looks like Healthy Noodle only for me.
I watched Serious Keto review these different pastas. I bought the Healthy Noodle brand at Costco and they are AMAZING! Thank you for the review and helping us keto people. :)
Sadly, as of March 2021, Costco (both locations in San Francisco and South San Francisco) do not have the Healthy Noodle anymore. You might still find them at some Asian Markets - but at a much higher price. I have been buying these Healthy Noodle at Costco for about 6 months before they were nowhere to be found. I really hope Costco will stock them again soon.
Thank you, Heading to Costco today to buy 'Healthy Noodles'. I appreciate all the research you do. Because of your time it saves wasting efforts and money for all of us. Not having to taste three different brands which looked like a bland experience is also appreciated. I explored recipes from Healthy Noodle website which gives lots of creative ways to use these. My go to has been Zoodles. Happy to know about this and can now add more variety in my KETO world. YES !!! Again, YOU rock.
I always dry fry my shirataki noodles after rinsing them no matter what the package says. I find that they adhere to the sauce better when completely dry. I just made chicken curry and pour it over the healthy noodles and they were outstanding. Thanks for the find!
I know your "That's a winner" face after you bite into something and I saw it every time you ate the healthy noodles, especially with the cheese sauce. Will definitely be worth the trip out of town to find a Costco just for these!
I love love love how you don't have that annoying background music in your videos. Thank you for keeping it simple and peaceful. Very helpful info. But the no background music earned you a subscription.
Healthy Noodle is the best! I've been trying to find a good low carb pasta for 10 years and this is the only one that doesn't disappoint. The ability to have pasta with meat sauce or just noodles with butter and not have to endure weird textures/smells, has been a game changer for me!
Im excited to try these Healthy Noodles. The first couple times I ate Miracle Noodles I thought I could get used to them but at some point I started to gag eating them so obviously that ended quickly!
I've only had the Healthy Noodles but they are fantastic. We love making them with bone broth packets from Costco and adding some chicken for a ramen type meal. They are so delicious!
You are so brave to take such nice big bites. I have attempted to lessen the soy in my diet because it seems to correlate with my arthritis pain. I’m thrilled to hear this wonderful news about a pasta replacement!
OMG STEVE YOU ARE THE BEST!! I make homemade alfredo with these and add shrimp and have the best shrimp Cajun alfredo pasta. Its good with bolognese but with alfredo specifically the cheese clings so well. Its so good
I’ve been enjoying shirataki noodles since I started keto! So clean and almost zero carbs! It’s a staple in my fridge. I usually make mine with shrimps, pesto, and yes, extra garlic and olive oil 🍝 🍲 🍜 😋. Thanks for the product comparisons, SK Steve!
Thank you for making this video. I haven't purchased Miracle Noodle because of the textural complaints in the reviews, but I'm glad there actually is a brand of Shiritaki noodles that are good. Thanks again!
I want to thank you. Just got the healthy noodles from Costco, fantastic! Did not know they were in the refrigerated section at Costco but found them. I rinsed them, left them in strainer for a while to dry then put in a microwave safe bowl added pasta sauce, parmesan and mozzarella cheese. Stuck it in the microwave for 3 minutes and had a great bowl of pasta. Fast and tasted great. THANK YOU! Solved one of my biggest problems. Now to try and make Pad Thai with them.
So glad I found you and especially in the new year!! Thank you for the heads up and the nice shout out to your viewer!! I will definitely follow you and you have a nice voice to listen too!!! Cheers - From your new fan
My sister picked up a box of the healthy noodles for me as I don't have a costco membership. Tonight, I rinsed and tossed a package with home made chili oil ( serious eats recipe), sesame oil, soy sauce, fried shallots and cilantro. You are correct in your review that they have more of an asian noodle texture, rather than Italian. I thought it was pretty tasty and will probably purchase more to attempt other recipes. I watch your videos and wanted to comment on your question about you commenting to comments. I would always give you a thumbs up or heart when you reply to my comments, but I cannot every find them after I have sent it. Please know, it is lovely that you reply, but some of us are challenged to find that! Anyway, really appreciate your work and wish you and your family well this holiday season, grateful that your son is coming home soon!
This pasta is the best!!! Been using it for 6 months. It has a very long refrigerator shelf life for each unopened package. Won't ever use anything else. Definitely helps me on keto. Good demo. Thanks.
I ate a lot of konjac in Japan. It’s mostly added to a broth soup with fish cakes, eggs, veggies etc and the miracle noodles are really best prepared as a soup. Like another commenter, I don’t bother boiling them but do rinse well and pan dry before using. I can’t wait to try the Healthy Noodles.! Thanks, Steve!!
So true that miracle noodles are better with soup or a lotta of liquid and personally for more Asian flavored dishes. I tried them with spaghetti sauce and didn't really care for them. I seasoned my sauce and meat well, added more salt for the noodles but the bland taste and the texture combined causes me to not eat my leftovers. I made them again using another youtuber's family authentic spicy Chinese (not Chinese-American) beef soup and they were fantastic and a squeeze of lime juice at the end made them taste like rice noodles! Generally, I would not risk eating too many without liquid and a little fat because it could get stuck in the intestines.
It's in the refrigerated section at Costco and it does have a close taste to real pasta. Works well in a stir fry with shrimp or chicken. You have to store it in the refrigerator always, even before you make it. But that's not a bad thing, just be sure to store it correctly.
I’m a Well Lean user. I rinse briefly and then add to my spaghetti sauce. I find the texture mimics pasta very nicely. Well Lean also makes a thin spaghetti noodle. Love them.
Ok I'm sold going to try the healthy noodle. I had to laugh when you said the miricle noodle is like eating rubberbands! I have always said the same thing! Great video.
To be honest, I really don't care about things like gluten, soy or pretty much any ingredients. All I care about three things: 1) Carb content. ... 2) Taste. ... 3) Ease of preparation. ... That's about it. Thank you, for bringing my attention to Healthy Noodles. I've been seriously missing pasta in my keto life, and I don't feel like preparing it from scratch, all. (I have enough recipes I already do that with. I really don't want another, for such a simple food.) I'll pay the extra few bucks, just to get my spaghetti on, right when I want it. Also, congrats on your body transformation, inside and out. You barely look like the same person. Good for you! (Subscribed.)
Healthy noodle was our replacement there for the longest time when our local Costco started carrying last year. However, we found a heart of palm substitute and we actually have a box of healthy noodle downstairs in the refrigerator we have not touched in the last 6 months because we have replaced it with heart of palm. We use either Palmini linguini or Healthy Nature angel hair, both you can get on Amazon. Either way, another great review and have a great weekend.
@@shelleyn.8503 we rinse it out just like you do with Healthy Noodle. We then sauté it in our red sauce instead of pouring the red sauce over it. However, Steve here gave me an idea about sautéing it in a garlic oil.
I needed this video! I love noodles and have to go back to strict keto again because I've been having seizures again. You have made so many videos on things I can replace non keto meals with. :) thank you!
Your recommendation of the Healthy Noodle brand is spot on! I already had the Well Lean noodles and had made some Pad Thai with them and they were fine but the Healthy Noodle brand is MUCH better. I really appreciated this breakdown of different brands. Your serious testing of products is something I really value on your channel and this one was a hit. Thank you!
Could you do a taste a test with hearts of palm pasta? I think there are several varieties. I’ve only tried one. I personally liked it but my husband thought it was a bit too crunchy for “pasta”. Thanks so much for all you do!! I love watching your channel! Very educational and inspiring.
Excellent video Steve, I will be looking for these "Healthy Noodles" starting right away. Like you I am missing very much my Asian dishes and Mediterranean dishes. That opens up a huge expansion for dinner prospects. I am already drooling.
I have tried Shiritaki spaghetti noodles. I had them with alfredo sauce, which was good. My favorite was making ramen soup. Cooked meat, noodles, chicken broth, boiled egg, green onion. It was amazing! Thanks for all you do to help us find the best keto foods and products.
He’s great at Keto videos, easy to follow and finds the most UNUSUAL stuff. I also agree that Yes!!! , if he can do accents, he would be a great audiobook narrator!
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS VIDEO!!!!!! I am going to Costco today and I happened upon your video. The other noodles I tried had a horrible consistency, they were exactly like you said, "Over cooked Calamari". Thanks for testing these.
Thank you so much for showcasing "Healthy Noodle". They have changed my keto eating and to confirm they are great in Lo mein, mac and cheese, and chicken noodle soup. Thanks so much!!
Thank you SO much, Steve... My family is gonna be lip licking happy to have these noodles in sauce. Appreciate your responding to my request so quickly (we did miss Courtney though). Thanks to Drew too 😋🤗👍
Steve, I just had the Healthy Noodle! You weren’t kidding!!! I made a bacon, cheesy Alfredo sauce! Aaaaaaamazing. Thank you so much!!! This is a game changer! I also ordered the Mac n cheese which I am awaiting! God bless!
Thanks for your experiments, I love watching you try things out. I really dislike Konjac root in all forms, it feels awful in my sensitive digestive tract. For noodles I eat Cappello’s almond flour noodles occasionally. They taste great and are keto friendly, but the carbs are too high for me to have more than a half serving at a time. My new pasta sub that I love is broiled cabbage....I just chop it up in strips, drizzle it with olive oil and butter, add salt, pepper, add crushed garlic and broil it in a pan for a few minutes until just a bit golden colored and really? It tastes fantastic to me, and feels great in my guts too. 🙂👍🏼
Just picked the healthy noodles up at my costco and LOVE them! They have no rubbery texture or fishy odor =) BTW if anyone is in the Palm Springs area they are at the Palm Desert Costco location.
HEY STEVE!!! DRY FRYING IS THE KEY! No boiling. Just rinse and dry fry on low/med till dry and I mean dry. Noodles will decrease in size(please only buy fettucine for this reason) and start sticking to pan when ready for sauce, etc. Chew will also be more pleasant for some, although I don't mind it. Really wish these instructions were on the packages. I've been eating these for 20 years when I could only order them by the case online. I've had all the ingredient variations in your video(not necessarily the exact brand) and like them all, but they need to be cooked properly. I like them all and would advise people to go by price , or if soy-free Wonder noodles are cheapest when on sale I've found on Thrive market, and I prefer the Konjac rice w/oat fiber for dishes like paella. I would love a 2.0 version of this video with a carbonara, alfredo, or "rice" recipe.
Thank you for talking about the texture. Everyone raves about the Wonder Noodle, but we just couldn’t eat them. The texture was so weird, like u said, sort of rubber bandy. It was so off putting we never tried any other brands. I’ll have to give Healthy Noodle a try.
I used the miracle noodles a couple of nights ago. I used the Trader Joe's Thai Green Curry sauce and put in peppers and cooked chicken. It was really good, can't wait to try the Healthy Noodle. Type 2 D. has been slowly getting worse, so when I went shopping after taking diabetic classes at my health care facility, I was very depressed about my food selection walking through the store. As time goes on I am getting much better at finding the foods that work for me.....and the noodle is a very important one. Great video here!
you can add white vinegar or apple cider vinegar to get rid of more of the smell wash them again after being soaked in the vinegar ....you can also do lemon on them too
Thanks for taking the bullet for the rest of us. Once again, impressed with your willingness to cook, taste, and compare. Alas, I seem to live in an HN-free zone.
I found your video review of Healthy Noodles. Today is April 18, 2023. The macros are a little different. They are great with Alfredo sauce. Also I love them sautéed with butter and garlic. I like the price. Six packages for $15. Thank you.
I guess I am in a minority as I have no problem with the "oceany" smell of the Miracle Noodles. I confess I don't bother with boiling the noodles either, I rinse and they go straight into the pan to "dry" before I add my sauce. But you have certainly made me curious with the Healthy Noodles and I am going to have to try those! Thanks Steve!
I used to eat a lot of Chinese and Thai in restaurants, but now soy in any form causes canker sores in my mouth. Rinsing, then Pan frying the Konjac noodles gives them a slight tan color with no fishy smell or taste. Angel hair, or rice are the best textures, and Asian sauces work best. Coconut aminos is a great sub for soy sauce. My only beef is I can’t just walk into a restaurant for the flavors I crave.
The first time I watched this video o completely missed the “Danger Noodle” t-shirt. 😂🤣... I love it!! Thanks for saying where in the Costco they’re located. I feel like no one ever says where they are. It means I do t have to walk ALL OVER Costco to find them. Thank you so much for all you do!
@@angelaa9948 I had to go online and request that my Costco start carrying them. I guess enough people requested it so they sent me an email to tell me they were gonna start carrying them.
Love the Healthy Noodles, so easy to make a quick meal. Heat up a pan of pasta sauce and meatballs, mix in noodles and add some shredded sharp cheddar cheese on top, cover and wait till the cheese is melted.
Just tried the Healthy Noodle today with my wife’s homemade Alfredo and it was almost like having real, if slightly overcooked, pasta. I’m throwing away all my other “noodles”.
I found Miracle noodles at Walmart in the produce. Healthy Noodles I found just where Steve found them: in the sausage/cheese/cold foods section in the upright coolers.
I just tried them for the first time and they were great as an Asian style dish. I am going to experiment though to see if pan frying them a little by themselves could potentially create a more al dente feel.
I love the healthy noodles from Costco and I have been experimenting with them for about a year. They are my favorite too. They are really good in a stir fry Asian noodle dish.
Making keto noodles from scratch, I've found, is a lot of work for something that's not that great. This is definitely something I'd gladly buy rather than make.
We ALWAYS rinse the Miracle Noodles in a bowl of water that has a tablespoon of white vinegar added, which totally neutralizes the some. Then we rinse it and cook etc. I really want to try the Healthy Noodles form Costco but have not found it at ours yet. Thank you so much for doing these reviews for us. It takes the "guess" work out of trying new products at least for me.
Thank you thank you 🙏. Being Diabetic noodles is the one thing I stay away from and miss the most. Because of your ongoing journey and caring for other people you have opened up a world of food I never thought I’d eat again.
So we can safely say the pastabilities are endless? HA! This is a ‘serious’ game changer. I’m on a roll here Steve. Super vlog today. Alfredo is a fav that I have trouble letting go of and the subs are literally crap. You’re my super hero today! The first two of the cheese round I guess we could call crap and cheese. HA I’m too funny today.
I have been using the miracle noodles for about 18 months now. I rinse them for a longer period of time and then dry them in a pan. adding a bit of butter to help keep them from clumping or sticking to the pan. Then serve with spaghetti sauce or alfredo sauce
I've kind of learned not to breathe in when I'm draining them, yeah, they smell pretty bad.I actually heat them twice, the second time with a new batch of water, draining twice also,of course.Once you're done flavoring them in any number of ways, they're great! Thanks for the fine video, much appreciated.
Sure, but so's making keto French fries, or keto pizza dough, or keto bread. Like most things, desire is demonstrated in will; this stuff isn't made for ppl who'd be satisfied with zoodles, it's for ppl who are really craving that true noodle flavour, & are willing to do a little extra labour to access that experience.
You can try to rinse them with a 1:1 mix of white vinegar and water. I keep a spray bottle of it in my kitchen for cleaning and use it to spray the weird noodle stink away after rinsing them. My understanding is that the package liquid is an alkaline solution so the acidic rinse neutralizes it.
I like the healthy noodles. Been using it for a year. Last night i made shrimp Alfredo with it and my hubby (how is NOT keto) loved it and ate the entire bowl.
Thanks for doing that taste comparison Steve. I’m a Canadian living overseas and was able to get the Healthy Noodle in Singapore. They really are leaps and bounds better then the standard konjac noodles I’d been getting. 😋. I made a Pho and they were scrumptious in it. I wouldn’t have known about those noodles if hadn’t been for your taste testing. Thanks a bunch. 😀
@produdeyay I bought them at Isetan grocery. If not familiar, it’s on the bottom floor of the Isetan mall. They are in the cold section with other packaged noodles. Just look carefully for them they are hard to see. Hope you find them.
Thank you for doing this video! I tried the miracle noodles a year ago and hated the texture of them! I am happy to hear the Healthy Noodles is a better texture!
I am not a serious Keto person but, I’ve been watching my carb & sugar intake since diabetes and high blood pressure runs in my family...let me tell you, the healthy noodles is a game changer in my eating🤩. I’ve been buying and enjoying the healthy noodles from Costco ever since I’ve seen it there and it’s the BEST alternative pasta for me specially it’s 1 net carb, 0 sugar, and 25 calories per serving!!! It’s not that expensive at Costco either. Very versatile noodles-for any Italian noodle recipes as well as Asian recipes. enJOY🤩🙌🏻🎉🥳
Thanks for saving me from saving to try out these pasta substitutes seeing is believing! I hope that Healthy Noodle product is available elsewhere, i.e., Woodman's or Outpost. BTW, I finally looked at the box fopr my lovely Zip Whisk to see a photo array picturing: 'Froth milk for a perfect cappuccino, Fluffy omelet, Homemade mayonnaise, Milkshakes, and Delightful whipped cream.' This tool is already getting more attractive to this engineer.
I have found that rinsing the Miracle Noodles in the colander and then spritzing on some lemon juice on top really knocks out the odor. Also, if I'm heating up sauce, I will first let the noodles' moisture evaporate a little in the pan and then dump the sauce on top and let them simmer together.
I haven't read through all the comments to see if anyone else posted this but it looks like Healthy Noodles are made with Okara which is the remains of soybeans after soy milk has been made. AND, you can buy finely ground Okara on amazon. Looks like it only has 3 net carbs per 1/2 cup (tons of fiber). I don't have a Costco near me and their website doesn't have any Healthy Noodle for sale, darn it.
At first when I read this, I read it as "okra" and thought "this person is confused". Now that I reread it, I have learned something. Thank you for sharing.
I'm so glad you did this video on these noodles. I'd never even try the other two noodles. Reading about those noodles were a turn off. Will be ordering the Healthy Noodles.
Thanks Steve! I can't wait to try the Healthy Noodles now! I've been using the Livia noodles and I would say they are very similar to the Well Lean noodles. I've eaten them but can't say I love them. My family owned a Chinese restaurant for 40 years so let me know if you have any questions! I can ask my dad who is a Chinese food/Dim Sum chef. I think these noodles would be great as Singapore Noodles! Also, as Beef Chow Fun which I made once with shrimp and the Livia and they were amazing!!
I’ve been eating the miracle noodles for years and if you prepare them properly they do well in many recipes. I always cut the noodles too and I like the miracle rice too. I use it in my egg foo young recipes. I also like the fact that I actually lose weight when eating these. It has medicinal benefits.
Thanks for the info/review. Glad I didn’t go to Costco today before I found out about these noodles. I will go tomorrow and hope they have them so I can have with stir fry veggies tomorrow night.
I’ve tried them all, I use em at least twice a week in Mac & cheese sauce or fettuccine sauce my secret is when you rinse them and sprinkle some lemon or lime juice or pinch true lemon powder or true lime powder and mix that the citrus get rid of any fishy smell at all you can even use a little bit to boil but that is my secret. That is my secret you can’t even taste or smell any fishness and a pinch of salt is a good things. Definitely prefer the thinner the better this is the one that I found and I use it comes refrigerated. “House Foods Shirataki, Traditional” Make sure they’re the traditional they’re only $1.69 to $1.99 per package you can get them Whole foods or sprouts But I’m gonna definitely try those Costco ones when I go today. As with any thing you do on keto it is an acquired taste/texture thanks for the great video Ooh yes Little sesame oil after they’re done frying add some spicy peanut sauce made with the PB fit powder little stevia coconut amino‘s optional & Sriracha to taste oh my gosh Yummy
Please let us (me) know if the Healthy Noodle is better than the House Foods! I use the House Foods noodles with the tofu in them, and if the Healthy Noodle is better, that would be amazing.
Just wanna make sure that when you look for the traditional house noodles make sure you read the ingredients because some people make the mistake and pick up the wrong ones that have soy
OK Steve, you got me :) I'll give the Healthy Noodles a try based on your review. I HATE konjac noodles (Miracle, etc), fingers crossed the Healthy Noodles are just that bit different like you mentioned. Thanks for the comprehensive review!!!
I bought the miracle one and after watching your video feel like bringing it back but I enjoyed your video so much God-bless you thank you so much for that help
So far I haven't been able to find the Healthy Noodles here where I live in Tennessee. Hopefully we will be able to buy them online soon. Thanks for the videos!
I would take a rinsed double handful of healthy noodles in a baggie with me to the local Pho joint near work, and ask them to skip the noodles on my Pho. I would use the Healthy Noodles instead. Always worked out great!
Great review! I just tried the miracle noodles recently and wasn’t impressed so wouldn’t have tried the others had you not issued the Steve Serious Seal of approval. 🥇🍜
You can skip the boiling on miracle noodle, just drain, dry off with clean towel, then pan fry to dry, and toss with sauce/veggies/protein etc. Comes out much better and quicker.
Hi I wanted to share how I cook my noodles. I stirfry in oil (olive) with a little low salt soy sauce it gets too salty when the water boils off otherwise. I add some chopped scallions or green onions add two eggs in fried rice fashion then a generous portion of butter. Great with stir fry I find this gives them a fried noodle texture. (liviva is the brand) Ocassionally find they do cause a bit of bloating.

Do you remember how much they cost?
They are pretty much the exact same thing as shirataki noodles just with a bit of soy powder added to them.
We got these. Ugh . Gave rest of box to food bank! N0W i find this video!!!
I'm so grateful that you are willing to try all of these products for us. 😊
Agree. I've been playing around with homemade keto noodle recipes for a while... haven't nailed it just yet. Might have to give these a try.
The look on your face when you smelled the Miracle noodles was priceless and your (positive) micro-expressions every time you taste the Healthy Noodles says it all. Thanks for being willing to be the guinea pig on these - looks like Healthy Noodle only for me.
I will say that now that I’ve made the spaghetti/ramen recipe, I’ve lost interest in the Healthy Noodles.
@@SeriousKeto I haven't seen that video yet...will have to check it out. Thx.
I watched Serious Keto review these different pastas. I bought the Healthy Noodle brand at Costco and they are AMAZING! Thank you for the review and helping us keto people. :)
Glad I could help n
@@SeriousKeto They don't have the healthy noodle in costco's in AZ sadly. I checked their web site. No other way to find it outside of Costco sadly.
@@MrCalarie Same in VA. BOO!😜👎
Going to Costco next week. Going to pick some of these up!!
I always dry fry my shirataki noodles after rinsing them no matter what the package says. I find that they adhere to the sauce better when completely dry. I just made chicken curry and pour it over the healthy noodles and they were outstanding. Thanks for the find!
Thanks for sharing the curry idea! 🍜
I do too. They squeak they are ready.
Miracle Noodles have greatly helped me stay on KETO. I use the angel hair......and love them.
Good thing you didn’t watch a couple of my early chaffle videos. 😉
Healthy Noodle is the best! I've been trying to find a good low carb pasta for 10 years and this is the only one that doesn't disappoint. The ability to have pasta with meat sauce or just noodles with butter and not have to endure weird textures/smells, has been a game changer for me!
In Ireland, we just microwave them for a minute with a knob of butter, some Himalayan salt, and some black pepper. Lovely! :)
Sounds tasty!
Sounds yummy 👍
Hey where do you get these in ireland if you dont mind me asking?
Irish culinary culture really is an unmitigated disaster
@@Niltrex why?
Im excited to try these Healthy Noodles. The first couple times I ate Miracle Noodles I thought I could get used to them but at some point I started to gag eating them so obviously that ended quickly!
Hahaha!!
Thanks for doing this. I'm a diabetic and I'm forever searching for rice and pasta substitutes.
Its so good
This is my kind of video. Enjoy how this gentleman really paints a picture with his words. Probably best you tube video I've watched in a long time
I’ve been enjoying shirataki noodles since I started keto! So clean and almost zero carbs! It’s a staple in my fridge. I usually make mine with shrimps, pesto, and yes, extra garlic and olive oil 🍝 🍲 🍜 😋. Thanks for the product comparisons, SK Steve!
Just picked some Healthy Noodles up from Costco. We are going to try them tomorrow.
Thanks Steve for having one of the best channels on TH-cam!
Thank you for the kind words. 😊
Happy to hear it. 😊
So glad I found you and especially in the new year!! Thank you for the heads up and the nice shout out to your viewer!! I will definitely follow you and you have a nice voice to listen too!!!
Cheers -
From your new fan
Thank you. 😊
Thanks for the comment.
This pasta is the best!!! Been using it for 6 months. It has a very long refrigerator shelf life for each unopened package. Won't ever use anything else. Definitely helps me on keto. Good demo. Thanks.
Very long shelf life! Thank goodness! My Costco in Spokane says they are a seasonal item???😆 so I stock up when I find them!
I just bought some Healthy Noodles and so glad your video exists because I was slightly skeptical! Thank you for the taste test!
Pad Thai, here I come! Been tempted by these, so I'm glad they have passed your taste test, and I love the way they look.
It's in the refrigerated section at Costco and it does have a close taste to real pasta.
Works well in a stir fry with shrimp or chicken. You have to store it in the refrigerator
always, even before you make it. But that's not a bad thing, just be sure to store it correctly.
What food is it by in the refrigerated section?
I’m a Well Lean user. I rinse briefly and then add to my spaghetti sauce. I find the texture mimics pasta very nicely. Well Lean also makes a thin spaghetti noodle. Love them.
I'm not familiar with them, but will keep an eye open.
I feel similarly. I would add: 4) doesn’t kick me out of ketosis, and 5) doesn’t cause me inflammation.
How do you fix Palmini? Boil or eat right out of the can?
@@shelleyn.8503 we rinse it out just like you do with Healthy Noodle. We then sauté it in our red sauce instead of pouring the red sauce over it.
However, Steve here gave me an idea about sautéing it in a garlic oil.
@@bluecollarwineguy4447 Thank you, I'll have to try it. Gotta love Steve for all he does.
Yes! The Palmini is soooo good.
Thank you!
Glad I could help.
Could you do a taste a test with hearts of palm pasta? I think there are several varieties. I’ve only tried one. I personally liked it but my husband thought it was a bit too crunchy for “pasta”. Thanks so much for all you do!! I love watching your channel! Very educational and inspiring.
Likely in September.
Excellent video Steve, I will be looking for these "Healthy Noodles" starting right away. Like you I am missing very much my Asian dishes and Mediterranean dishes. That opens up a huge expansion for dinner prospects. I am already drooling.
Great post Steve. Really appreciate that you do these taste tests and take the hit for the rest of us!
Thank you for introducing me to the Healthy Noodles!!!!! They are the BEST. They have no weird taste or consistency.
Hi there, thank you for this awesome video.....I just started a 30 days keto challenge and love noodles so thank you. Keep up the great work.
Thank you SO much, Steve... My family is gonna be lip licking happy to have these noodles in sauce. Appreciate your responding to my request so quickly (we did miss Courtney though). Thanks to Drew too 😋🤗👍
Courtney will be in a video next week. 🙂
Steve, I just had the Healthy Noodle! You weren’t kidding!!! I made a bacon, cheesy Alfredo sauce! Aaaaaaamazing. Thank you so much!!! This is a game changer! I also ordered the Mac n cheese which I am awaiting! God bless!
Glad I could help. 🙂
Interesting. Thanks for sharing.
Honest and plain spoken review... New subscriber to your list now.
Welcome aboard!
The texture of Healthy Noodle isn’t as hearty as real pasta, but it isn’t rubbery like Miracle Noodle.
“That was not a win” 🤣 your voice is awesome and I plan on keep watching your videos!!
I appreciate that!
you can add white vinegar or apple cider vinegar to get rid of more of the smell
wash them again after being soaked in the vinegar ....you can also do lemon on them too
Good tip
Thanks for taking the bullet for the rest of us. Once again, impressed with your willingness to cook, taste, and compare. Alas, I seem to live in an HN-free zone.
Same. Australian Costco doesn't carry them. :(
I found your video review of Healthy Noodles.
I love the noodles! I discovered the smart buns through their website years ago too.
I have soaked them in water and a squeeze of lemon juice for 10 minutes before pan drying. That's the instructions for the kelp noodles.
I already found these at Costco. They are in the fridge. Thank you for the thumbs up and a few ideas :)
I have that Danger Noodle tee in blue. Love it! I wish my Costco carried Healthy Noodle. Guess I’ll have to go there and make puppy eyes
@@angelaa9948 I had to go online and request that my Costco start carrying them. I guess enough people requested it so they sent me an email to tell me they were gonna start carrying them.
@Bshell1502 Thank you! I’ll try that and see if it works for me. Fingers crossed!
I'm reallly loving your channel. I'm in Korea and can't wait to get back to the USA so I can start digging into the Keto world.
Where did you GET THEM???
I found Miracle noodles at Walmart in the produce. Healthy Noodles I found just where Steve found them: in the sausage/cheese/cold foods section in the upright coolers.
@@carolhh5763 Costco
I just tried them for the first time and they were great as an Asian style dish. I am going to experiment though to see if pan frying them a little by themselves could potentially create a more al dente feel.
@@Sybaris_Rex Yes, I like them but they are a bit too soft.
I love the healthy noodles from Costco and I have been experimenting with them for about a year. They are my favorite too. They are really good in a stir fry Asian noodle dish.
Thanks Steve! You've done it again... saved me a lot of time and money. I'll be giving Healthy Noodles a shot as soon as "my" Costco carries them.
Making keto noodles from scratch, I've found, is a lot of work for something that's not that great. This is definitely something I'd gladly buy rather than make.
@Serious Keto Agree! As soon as I finished your video I checked and my local Costco doesn't yet carry them. I hope they do soon. 🤞
That sounds like a lot of work
Sure, but so's making keto French fries, or keto pizza dough, or keto bread.
Had the Healthy noodles last night with rotisserie chicken and cheese sauce...pretty good!
I'm so excited! I miss pasta sooo much. Now its a waiting game till it gets to Canada 🇨🇦. Thanks Drew and Steve!
Yes I was sad to see its not here in Canada....hopefully soon
I may have to try the cheese sauce on some.
I tried miracle noodles only once. I hated the taste and texture. They also look like round worms! Yuck!
Very versatile noodles-for any Italian noodle recipes as well as Asian recipes. enJOY🤩🙌🏻🎉🥳
Thanks for taking the time to review these!! I’m going to definitely try healthy noodles soon!
Good tips!
You should have said "pastabilities". By the way, these noodles will taste even better after sitting in sauce overnight in the fridge.
😂😂😂😂😂
I haven't read through all the comments to see if anyone else posted this but it looks like Healthy Noodles are made with Okara which is the remains of soybeans after soy milk has been made. AND, you can buy finely ground Okara on amazon. Looks like it only has 3 net carbs per 1/2 cup (tons of fiber). I don't have a Costco near me and their website doesn't have any Healthy Noodle for sale, darn it.
At first when I read this, I read it as "okra" and thought "this person is confused". Now that I reread it, I have learned something. Thank you for sharing.
You have an amazing voice! Ever think of doing voiceovers? I adore your recipes. You’ve really helped my Keto journey! 45 lbs in 3 mos and going🙏👍👏
How articulate! I like watching such formal people. Subscribed!
Glad to have you here. 🙂
I’ve been eating the miracle noodles for years and if you prepare them properly they do well in many recipes. I always cut the noodles too and I like the miracle rice too. I use it in my egg foo young recipes. I also like the fact that I actually lose weight when eating these. It has medicinal benefits.
Hey, can you share how you prepare yours so that it's not off-putting? I'll be a first timer with shirataki noodles 🍜
Thanks for the info/review. Glad I didn’t go to Costco today before I found out about these noodles. I will go tomorrow and hope they have them so I can have with stir fry veggies tomorrow night.
My Costco does not carry the Healthy Noodles.
“House Foods Shirataki, Traditional” Make sure they’re the traditional they’re only $1.69 to $1.99 per package you can get them Whole foods or sprouts
But I’m gonna definitely try those Costco ones when I go today. As with any thing you do on keto it is an acquired taste/texture thanks for the great video
Ooh yes Little sesame oil after they’re done frying add some spicy peanut sauce made with the PB fit powder little stevia coconut amino‘s optional & Sriracha to taste oh my gosh Yummy
Please let us (me) know if the Healthy Noodle is better than the House Foods! I use the House Foods noodles with the tofu in them, and if the Healthy Noodle is better, that would be amazing.
@@JenLMcCarty oh that’s why I said you have to use the original they are no soy at all
Just wanna make sure that when you look for the traditional house noodles make sure you read the ingredients because some people make the mistake and pick up the wrong ones that have soy
This video just showed up in my feed. I just purchased the Healthy Noodles tonight at Costco. I can't wait to try them now.
Hope you like them.
I'm going to look for the healthy noodles! I love your "Danger Noodle" shirt.
So far I haven't been able to find the Healthy Noodles here where I live in Tennessee. Hopefully we will be able to buy them online soon. Thanks for the videos!
It took a while for them to show up at my Costco. It’s seems like they’re doing a slow rollout.
@@SeriousKeto cool! I'll keep an eye out for them.
I would take a rinsed double handful of healthy noodles in a baggie with me to the local Pho joint near work, and ask them to skip the noodles on my Pho. I would use the Healthy Noodles instead. Always worked out great!
Great suggestion!
Thank you for the great suggestion!
Great video! Love the straightforward (and dry humor) commentary. Keep them coming!
Based on this video, I just went to Costco and got these and they are by far the best keto noodles in terms of texture that I’ve ever tasted.
Glad I could help. 🙂
Sounds yummy.
Maybe that carb count is the ‘miracle’ of the Miracle Noodles........😁
Some products include the dietary fiber in the total carbs and some do not, its not regulated
Negative carbs!
@Sue Bell this is nothing to do with the noodle but I know a sue Bell and her daughter got married and now her last name is miracle 😁😊
