What are your prefered light modifier setups? Have you ever used a book light in a commercial setup? Kinda curious if people think this is a practical setup for a quick shoot. I did used this on a doc I shot recently and the setup took a little while longer than I would have liked. #Aputure #Filmmaker
The reason aperture stopped including gel holders is because they started making higher power fixtures where the gels would melt if mounted that close to the source, the reason the cone method is dangerous is because it’s too close to the LED inside. Luckily for you you’re using a lower power source so you’re able to get away with it.
In this video, I have a booklight off to camera right with a 200D as the source, a set of two q15 Quasar tubes as the hairlight suspended above and behind my head (off to camera right slightly), and an Baby Mole with the barndoors partially closed aimed at the backdrop off of camera left

Can you put the aputure gel holder onto the inner ring of the lantern and change it’s colour temp?
From what I've heard its not compatible but you can just use a few C47s inside and clip a gel in
