💕 Hi, I kept seeing recipes that called for cooking the rice for 10 minutes, and NR at least 10 minutes. Don't do it ! I did mine for 10 minutes, Natural Released for 6-7 minutes, and used 1 & 1/4 cups of water or broth to 1 cup of long grain white rice. Wish me luck ! Good luck out there ! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👋🏼

Should I double or triple the time depending on how many cups of rice I want to cook? Looking forward to hear from you. Thanks 🙂
I have been watching her videos for two days so I can answer this for you. For each one cup of rice, add 1 and 1/4 cup of water. So if you make two cups of rice, you use 2 and 1/2 cups of water. 3 cups of rice, 3 and 3/4 cups of water. I saw her say no matter how much rice you cook, you still only cook it 8 minutes. So you do adjust the water but not the time because it takes eight minutes to cook rice, regardless of how much is in there.

Hello, I have followed your recipe and tried jasmine, wild rice blend, brown and Arborio rice. And every time I cook the rice it always burns. Should I try pot in pot? Yes, I have cleaned the inside of the inner pot. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks in advance. (Love your videos)
For jasmine rice I do a ratio of 1.5 cups of water to 1 cup of rice. I had the same issue that the rice would burn. Also, with the extra water, I found I don't need to cook it as long, just 5 minutes with quick pressure release. Another issue I've seen is if you use hot water to start it out. I don't know why, but cool water seems to work better in preventing the burn notifications.
Wash the rice and weigh the rice. 1kg rice to1.1l water works good for short grain white rice. You can reduce the water if the rice is a little wet. For other rice you can almost get away with it
I’m not new to cooking with a pressure cooker but I’m having a hard time with the preset cooking times with the instapot. If I choose the rice button, it appears to have an automatic timer. Is there a way to override it? I am cooking brown rice which would take longer. Also it seems to automatically be on a lower pressure. (???) Another Q: if I choose manual settings how do I set a timer? Maybe I can’t do both.
