I can't wait to see Blake's reaction to Little, with ehr being a cat faunus and all. I also love Luci Christian's voice for Little. I can't remember the last time she voiced a character with that voice.
I think it's spelt Liddell but pronounced similarly to little. This is Alice's last name. But I could be wrong. It's been a hot minute since reading Alice and Wonderland
I think it is possible that Volume 9 takes a “hero’s journey” style to the story and Little can serve as a guide type character to Ruby. A theory I have seen is that the knight we see in the teaser is Jaune as the knave of hearts from Alice in Wonderland which the woman we’ve seen could be the antagonist and though is not actually her could take a Pyrrha appearance in order to manipulate Jaune through his guilt for killing Penny and his continuing guilt of, as he feels, failing Pyrrha.
That little mouse is freakin' adorable. Way too cute. I hope Little sticks around for the long run, I would hate for the little guy to die in order for Ruby to get some character arc development.
Imagine Ruby and Little getting extremely close, Ruby talking about how she’s excited for Little to meet ORNE, Her dad, Qrow, Ozs team, only to find out at the last minute, Little can’t go with them to Remrant
I'd like to think it's based on the dormouse from the og Alice in Wonderland story. Also could be a reference to the surname the real life Alice had. Little = Liddel
With the amount of merch RT pumps out, I’d really be surprised if we don’t get a plushie or something of Little. Given how popular she is already I’d imagine it would do very well Fr tho I love this little mouse I hope she stays for the full volume
I'm fairly certain that knight is Jaune, actually. No clue where the helmet would've come from, but the the rest that's visible looks very similar to his V8 armour, between the straps over the breastplate, the shoulder pauldrons, and the colour scheme.
I think that Little's ultimately going to decide by the end of the volume and needing to say goodbye to Ruby after forming a bond with her that their purpose is to guide
I also want Little to last a while longer than just this volume! Also, I was thinking after watching the teaser trailer we go . . . that figure in armor? In one of the "Wonderland" books, Alice comes across a pair of knights dueling, and the White Knight wins, and has a conversation with Alice. Could be this White Knight in the trailer could be a character that helps the kids?
I can’t wait to see what happens with team Ruby but I also wanted to see what Winter and Qrow are going to be like. Both those two think they have lost what is most important to them and the fury of vengeance they will have will be fun to watch.
This is how I think each of the other members of team RWBY will react to Little. Weiss : So adorable ! 😍 Blake : Must....Catch ! Yang : What a " Little " cutie . Bonus John : Get that thing away from me !!!!
Even in an alternate fantasy like realm, I doubt that plant Ruby pulls out of the ground is cheese. I wouldn't be surprised if it just a unique vegetable that happens to be yellow in colour. Wouldn't surprised that being in this realm, team RWBY will have to make do with whatever strange foods exists in the Ever After. Moving on, I wonder if the mouse has something to do or reference to the idea of victory being not found in strength, but in the simpler things that (as Ozpin said back in V1) "require a small, more honest soul." Thats what I think.
This chapter is SO much Through the looking glass. I commented last video on some lines the characters draw, Ruby passing the same spot repeatedly is EXACTLY what happened to Alice at the beginning of through the looking glass, because "on the chess board the game is always moving, why to get anywhere you'ld better move double-pace or you're like to end back where you started"
Considering Little had never seen a human before, Little maybe didn't think that Ruby could speak in the same way that Ruby never thought a mouse could speak
Thank you! I try to have them make the most sense given what we already know in RWBY and explain them the best I can without a script. I'm glad that you enjoy them!
Btw the knight is Jaune. If you look at the chest plate they are wearing, it is EXACTLY the same as Jaune’s. Between the straps and the weird triangular shaped lip, there is no question that the armor is Jaune’s. Side note: some people say it’s his ancestor since the armor is passed down to him, that would not be the case as the one in the trailer is the one he made multiple customizations to it, such as the straps and triangular lip.
seeing how worn that armour is, and how time and/or space seems to work differently in this realm, one must wonder how long Jaune was stuck in the loop to end up looking like an ancient knight of legend
I love Little, they're really so cute ! ♥ I was expecting them to kinda be an "emotional support" or some conscience for Ruby especially during her time in the Ever After. But I'd love to see them interact with the others "cats" and see how they have an impact on the whole story, and how they find their own purpose too.
Just finished watching the clip did you notice the rocking horse fly at the beginning it's definitely Wonderland we're seeing there with the world tree from Norse mythology that we've seen in previous trailers
Maybe the animals are spirits, and Little being “young” means she is still growing, and maybe she has to develop her abilities or perform a good deed to grow. She may become a larger and more majestic type creature. This makes me think of the Grimm and how they morph and become different types as they age and learn. But in Ever After it’s for these animals instead and for good reasons. Ruby and Little seem to have some good chemistry. From what’s shown in the trailer and clip as well as the icon image for those videos, it seems Ruby may become more of guardian or be a protector to Little. Often it’s either Qrow, Yang, Weiss, or Blake who step in to help her when she’s in trouble. Now with Little she may do the same for her and be more like that in the future.
If I recall there is a mouse in Alice in Wonderland, it hangs out at a teaparty with the mad hatter and his rabbit friend. It's been a long time since I've seen that movie, the animated one.
I honestly thought it was a cheese turnip or something. Or some weird pineapple turnip. And I do love how This does seem Alice in wonderland like with the “this way that way wrong way” sign post as to get to places isn’t as easy as it appears. Like you have to want to go to be somewhere to get to that place though isn’t like “hey I need to go straight to get to the mountains or the tree” it’s more like I need to go to the mountain so I will go there. Everything is abstract or as you said non linear
I'm just glad that team ruby is going to wonderland, and my second guess was neverland and the figure talking is definitely Alice. Alright so ruby's gonna have to solo the jabberwokkey maybe.
I imagine Little is probably based on both Dormouse (a somewhat prominent character in adaptations of Alice in wonderland) and "The Mouse" which is the first character Alice talks to in wonderland and tells a story about how they were put on trial for something, I don't remember what though. Maybe Stewart Little too based on the name.
I think the armor and mysterious figure could be visions of Jaune or Ruby, depicting them as if they were from a darker timeline, maybe if they heeded Ambrosius's warning more seriously, "Do not fall." There's a scene in the teaser where Ruby is surrounded by clouds. Correct me if I'm wrong (I've never read/watched Alice, I'm just repeating an idea from another channel), there's this caterpillar thing in the story that has something to do with halucinations and stuff, right? That mist could be his magic showing them their potential futures, akin to a certain SW Clone Wars episode where Anakin sees his future as Darth Vader, thanks to the Dark Brother. Most of this was from a video from You All Write. His ideas are ones I like.

I wonder if Alyx is a Silver Eyes warrior could she have any connections to Ozpin and could she been one of the first Silver eyes warriors to use their powers/awaken them?
That would be amazing if Alyx returned to Remnant for Volume 10 and had previous history with Ozpin. Oscar's reaction to meeting the actual person from a Fairy tale he was told as a child would be cute
@@PhoenixNight I would like Alyx to return too with the girls I mean Maria even tho so love her she really doesn’t seem to be the right teacher to teach Ruby about the Silver eyes.
I went back and watched the trailer again I think the creature with the horns that almost looks like the god of death in the series could be a Jabberwocky
I think that the mouse is going to play an important role in volume 9, I honestly believe that is going to act like some kind of a conscience for ruby.
considering that Little is a talking mouse and everything, this relates to the story of the Shallow Sea, a story that revealed the third god, the God of Animals, and it was he who brought the Faunus into existence, by gifting humans with partial animal parts, and turning talking sentient animals into humans with animal traits, so if, and I do mean IF, the world of the Ever After is the God of Animals's realm, before Ruby and company leaves that world after accomplishing their goal there, Ruby could ask him to turn Little into a person with mouse ears.
To answer your question about wether there is a mouse in the Wonderland story: Yes. Appearantly, in the Second chapter "The Pool of Tears", Alice shrinks and ends up almost drowning her own teardrops (since she used to grow before). She then meets a mouse and asks her for help, but because it doesn't react, she tries to talk to it in french and when she mentions the french word for cat (chat), the mouse freaks out, similar to Little. After a discussion, the mouse tells Alice her tragic story; it was almost murdered by a dog, but escaped. I think it ends up helping Alice, but I can't find anything about it and after that part of the story, the Mouse also disappears.
Hi, Phoenix How are you I have a question about the teaser They show Ruby holding Penny's Sword But my question is isn't Penny making her swords using her Maiden power isn't that sword supposed to disappear after Penny's death !?
Non-linear space, going past the same thing over and over, they did the same gag in The Legend of Korra in the spirit world. Seems like the Ever After has some similarities to the spirit world both seem to be influenced by the emotions of people in it maybe Ruby thinks she is just going past the same thing over and over so she is actually going past the same thing over and over. Knowing what you are could mean that you become what you know yourself to be. Juane IS the knight as that is what he knows himself to be. Blake is a cat or isn't and needs to learn she is more than her faunus side to actually be herself? And ruby is? A leader (The queen/king)? A (silver eyed) warrior? Something else? So many questions from 5 minutes of video
I think Little is going to share some parallels with Ruby Rose because both of them has little purpose. I also think Little will Ruby soul search because Ruby was trying to be someone else version of a huntress, a leader, and a hero.
I wouldn't be surprised if curses like that existed in the Ever After and it might actually happen to one or more of our characters at some point. Little is likely just Little as they have their own village already lol
I think little will be a fun character for Ruby to have and as for what I think Ruby will learn in this volume is her silver eyes power or maybe a connection with her mother and as for everyone else I'm not sure what they will learn here but I'm pretty sure we all know who's going to be the mad hatter and to figure out what type of creatures or situations the Ruby team I find themselves in it with her to check or read the story of Alice in wonderland and I am almost positive we will get an Alice in wonderland in the story looking forward to it 🐁🐇🐱♥️🎩
Wait... is this world like the psyche of the characters turned into a unified landscape? I know its supposed to be a place for them to find themselves, the raining when crying really suggests that
There IS a mouse in Alice in Wonderland. It's a doormouse that's being kept sedated by the Mad Hatter and the March Hare, he sleeps all the time, wakes up only to be lulled back to sleep. The Armored woman is maybe the White queen or The Queen of Heart? Then again maybe they are inspired only by the books and not the same?
I hypothesize that each of our characters will have a different experience. Little, I think, is a representation of Ruby's psyche. Otherwise why would it be a cartoon mouse and not react like "What's a cartoon?" when Ruby mentions seeing cartoons? Ruby going past the same place over and over probably is symbolic of having a question she can't find her way out of. The cheshire cat probably connected to Blake and the knight is probably connected to Jaune The space is definitely not linear like you said, so it probably appears differently to all of them too
i was wondering the same thing, because we know Ruby is the one missing her personal arc, but for example, Blake already went through it and so did Yang, so maybe this place has a different challenge for everyone, all those creatures, I don't think they will fight everyone, I think they are steps to get places, since it seems like they can't get to the tree, there must be steps to 'unlock' it
Multiple different projects they are working on with different companies on top of everything else over the past couple years. Ice Queendom in particular since creating an anime has been a dream of many of the creators of RWBY for a long time

Mouse gang
Maybe the doormouse? Although I like stuart little tho
The cheshire cat probably connected to Blake
and the knight is probably connected to Jaune
The space is definitely not linear like you said, so it probably appears differently to all of them too
i was wondering the same thing, because we know Ruby is the one missing her personal arc, but for example, Blake already went through it and so did Yang, so maybe this place has a different challenge for everyone, all those creatures, I don't think they will fight everyone, I think they are steps to get places, since it seems like they can't get to the tree, there must be steps to 'unlock' it
Yum, dirt cheese
Please forbid this character dies by getting stepped on
Or getting eaten by Blake :D
I can unfortunately already see Little dying to protect Ruby from Neo in some fashion.
I think they’ve got the mouse as a substitute for the white rabbit in Alice in wonderland. The new setting is very alice in wonderland reminiscent.

Is there a reason why the series has been delayed from almost 2 to 3 years 🤔
Covid, Icequeendom and RWBY Justice League theatrical movie
@@SetoShadowVT COVID-19 understandable
Ice Queen why the hell they even doing a remake to the series
@@collinmason739 I think Ice Queendom was only a remake in the first two episodes, now it's doing it's own thing with 'nightmare grimm', I believe.
Multiple different projects they are working on with different companies on top of everything else over the past couple years.
Ice Queendom in particular since creating an anime has been a dream of many of the creators of RWBY for a long time
Who is little's VA. they sounds familiar
I want to see little return to remnant with team rwby, and start riding zwei into battle. Y’all are thinking it! I just said it!
Forgive me if this gets up here, but I heard the idea that the Mouse and the knight represent two fractured aspects of Jaune’s soul
