    I have to thank you man. I've been losing my mind comparing these two cameras, but you made it clear that most of the upgrades are for number-peeping nerds, and considering I only shoot stills the 6 is just as good as the 7 for me.

      Thanks for watching. Yeah if you're only shooting stills the VI is still a great camera.

    I recently bought the VII. 4K recording shut down on overheat at 35 minutes at room temperature. There was about 40% of battery left at that time. I got the RX100 IV for my next trip, as an alternative to my A6300 and a couple of lenses. Your production quality is great.

      Interesting. I guess it kind of depends sometimes. I've never ran it past 30 mins, but I've seen other people get close to an hour. But overall it's still definitely an improvement over the V and VI that would overheat so much in 4K it would take forever to shoot a video.
      The IV and V are excellent compliments to an interchangeable lens setup. While I love the zoom range of the VI/VII, now that I have a a6400 on my next big trip that would be my main camera (or the A7S if ever comes out) during the day. So the faster lens on the RX100 IV/V would be perfect at night for dinners, club etc. where you don't want (or can't) carry a bigger setup.

    hello there, thanks a lot, you helped me to decide to buy the MK6. I`m gonna use the MK6 for still photos only, no Vlogs, no videos and even more I`ll save 300 bucks. But the MK7 "blazing fast" auto focus is tempting .

      Thanks for watching. I'm glad I could help you in making a decision. And I think you made the right choice. The autofocus in the VI is extremely fast as well. I don't think you'll be disappointed at all.

    Hey there! Nice video - just a little thing: wish the side by side footage was labeled.. think the VII is on the right, but to make it 100% clear

      Hi thanks for watching. thanks for pointing this out as I totally botched this! 🤦🏽‍♂️. But for clarity: in the 1st side by side (6:06) comparing the two in 4K it's the VI on the left and the VII on the right. However in the second shot (6:55) it's flipped and the VII is on the left and the VI is on the right.
      Big mess up on my end all around. Sorry for any confusion again.

      Not a bad choice. The ZV 1 does look compelling though, especially if you have a video focus.

    💥💥 Great vid. Thank you. I shoot lots of local rock bands and I use an RX10 mk3. How is this one with shooting video in low light.?? And with the variable aperture lens while zooming can you still get nice bokeh at the long end like the one before it with the 2.8 at the long end?

    • @CreativeTechLab
      @CreativeTechLab  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey James, thanks for watching. With the longer lens you definitely get some nice bokeh from all the compression. The low light performance is decent. However, if you're frequently shooting in dark environments I'd probably recommend going with something like the Sony ZV-1 since it has a similar aperture to what you already have. And that's only if you need to upgrade for more video features or better autofocus. Otherwise your Mk3 is still great for stills.

    Hey! Just found the video. I have the ZV-1 already and am looking for a compliement travel camera for stills only. Ive got three full frames, including the A7s3, but those are too heavy to take on trips all the time. Would you recommend the v6 or the v7 for stills only after two years of having the v7? Thanks for your time!

      Hi thanks for watching. If it's only for stills I'd recommend going with the mark 6. And really only if u need the extra reach on the 200mm end. Because the ZV-1 is a capable stills cam also.

      @@CreativeTechLab Thanks for the fast reply. And right, I have taken photos with my ZV-1, but I travel A LOT, and am going back to Africa in winter for vacation, so the extra reach would be nice if I'm on safari or needing to see animals in far off places. The reach would be good for street photos too, I imagine.

    Rx'6 in 2021? Good bet specially for stills? If not what are other options..

    • @CreativeTechLab
      @CreativeTechLab  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Still a great camera. But I'd say it depends on what you're shooting. ZV-1 and a6400 are other good options in that range. You can check my a6400 vs Rx100 video here: th-cam.com/video/57C8T2D66q8/w-d-xo.html
