Thank you Jim I’m going to buy one as my first bike next week your review has helped me thank you
I would say though the Dayton's can be a bit temperamental with the electrics etc, make sure if you but it from a dealer get a warranty just in case the one I bought recently sprung an oil while I was on the M11 bit sketchy. Another good first bike would be CBR600f they are bomb proof.
Not sure why I kept referring to the Daytona as the TT600 that's the previous model, must be old age.
I've got a D650 different bike again, more torque everywhere. 30 mph 6th gear and the bike pulls it no problems. Electrical problems are a must on these.
Like your name👍. Yeah they do have some electrical gremlins
I also ride the D650.... Lovely bike but nightmare with electrics.... rectifier changes cost and mine gone twice, last time I mounted it under the bellypan so air cools it.
A map from tuneecu website with a can sees 106 bhp at the tyre, not shabby even by today's standard and an extra tooth on the rear sprocket makes it feel nicer too.....agreed not a hooligan machine to but plenty fast enough and still look modern.
But I think jap bikes from that era are better
mines out at the mechanic because it burnt up all its wiring

Bet it started at the stator/generator, it always does. It's mainly the connector between the stator and the reg/rec it starts at!
Ehat about reliability?
They never handle well at low speed, great review though
i tend to up the front tyre to 36 and it responds better
bomb proof engine and built to last
It's not me then, I'm off to test ride another one tomorrow so I can compare them.
Hey mate, big fan. Question… can I ride one of these bikes at 21 with an A2 license?
Hi, I had to do some investigation for this one, Looks like you can but it would have to be restricted to 47bh, now that your 21 you should go for the full licene.
However I would not recommend one of these bikes they have too many issues get yourself a Honda or other Japanese bike they will be much more reliable at this age, my Daytona blew up on me on the M11 proper Sketchy .
@@JimDiesel71 damn, thanks for the advice, I’ve found a pretty decent CBR600 for my budget, can’t go wrong.
@@JimDiesel71 Hi, was it your Daytona in the video or was it another Daytona that blew up on you on the M11? :)
i have a speed four and till now i thought that my oil light was not working.. so, your oil light is not on before u startup the bike and i was wondering why is that so?.. yours is not working either maybe or it only goes on when low on engine oil?
Not sure, I've heard that these triumph's had an issue with the clocks and instruments lights similar to the Gen 2 RSV 1000s. It turned out in the end that my oil pump had gone and the engine blew.
@@JimDiesel71 oil pump stopped working while riding?
@@chevchelios7342 yes, I was on the motorway did a video about it very sketchy
@@JimDiesel71 and the oil light didnt went on?
@chevchelios7342 no light, started losing power oil dumped onto the back wheel.
I’m getting the exact same bike. And I am 5ft tall. But I’m gonna lower the shit out of it 😂
You truly have me confused the way you always down triumphs!!! All of the other reviews I have watched give a completely different report!!?? Are you really hard on your bike's or what!?
What are you on about? I own a Speed Triple love it and my Daytona blew it's engine and nearly wiped me out hence I wasn't too impressed. Plus the Dayton's are notorious for having issues.
@@JimDiesel71 ok that's why I was asking I'm looking at getting another bike and just don't want to regret it! Appreciate the response
