I bought this bike ( first generation 675) a month ago...BEST DECISION EVER!!! I LOVE IT!!! So much so that i made this TH-cam chanel to post videos of it.
Definitely an interesting watch (thumbs up), I own a 13 Daytona 675 and its an awesome piece of British engineering. When I first brought mine I covered 400 miles in the first day and just over 4000 miles in the first 2-3 months. Best 600 stock I've owned✌
Yams, you've gone and done it - become yourself on TH-cam, not some DoItWithDickhead or JockTheGardenRake clone. Very happy to be riding along with you, now more than ever.
Antonn Cheeseman I second this. You're becoming the thinking Man's moto vlogger. Not some overgrown man-child or a midget gun-nut with severe short-bloke syndrome. Keep it up, mate.
Hey Yammie! First off, love the videos keep up the good work. Just a suggestion (because this is something I would be interested in seeing), maybe you could go into the history on some of the well known riding gear brands (i.e. Icon, Dainese etc.)
Yammie, I was looking at naked bikes until I got into watching your channel, and slowly but surely you convinced me of the pure raging awesomeness that is the Daytona 675! So I just bought a 2006 model. Definitely couldn't be happier with my decision!
I own a Daytona 600 from 2004 and I really love it, don't really need to compete with the other bikes from the era, at least for a street use, it's truly amazing
"...humble and totally unbiased opinion....." after watching the admittedly very educational video, I don't think you're lying lol... ION, it's been a long time since I subbed to a channel and not regret it. Thanks Yammie for making me stay up literally all night watching your content. Nearly lost my job once, but what the heck....
Great video...the Daytona is an amazing bike from an amazing company. I own the 600 and the 765. Side note - the 2004 600 has 110 bhp which screams even at 8k rpm!
The times when I was cruising some nice smooth curvy roads on my tornado red 2007 Daytona 675 were some of the best times I’ve had riding or driving anything. I miss it almost everyday
I just bought a 675 for track use. All the parts are backwards compatible. Wheels, dampers, slipper clutch, shocks, steering head etc. This means you can get near r6 performance at SV650 prices. Most of these parts like ohlins suspension can be bought cheap on Ebay and further upgraded from there.
such a shame it's now discontinued.... they truly are amazing bikes! the 2013-2016 will hold value because of the limited run and low exhaust. was not expecting this video to be anywhere near as good as it was. fantastic job yammie!!! huge effort has paid off! and thanks for making great content!
Greg Welch not in the UK. they are no longer in production it's just left over stock that cant be sold in the EU due to emissions laws. Triumph have not suggested there will be a replacement, there have been no spy shots of a new bike or no leaks about development. triumph seem to be pushing into modern classics at the moment rather than anything else. There has been no update or replacement to the Sprint St/GT range either. it's a real shame. the Daytona IS the BEST middle weight sport bikr. by leaps and bounds.
Frugaltail there was very little new street triple info until the launch event and now there's 3 of them lol. I don't see them developing a new engine and not carrying it over to share development cost
Greg Welch the new street was in MCN over a year ago being tested at the site in Spain. Then in November there was more leaks from staff. but before all that kicked off in 2015 triumph sent out surveys to it's reviewers asking about features that are desirable on a new version of a street triple. there may be a new Daytona but from the staff I've spoken to.... don't hold your breath it could be some time off! but none the less, i do hope i am wrong! guy Martin racing one at the TT would be insane
This is really well done! That's a 2004 955i Speed/Daytona hybrid in my avatar. Was my track bike for three years. My best friend owns a 04 955 ST Sprint. Excellent bikes.
I have a 98 Daytona 959 what a damn fine bike with black widow undertail exhaust near red line it screams like a Lamborghini I've been round bikes my whole life and it has the best exhaust note I've heard from a bike
Triumph epitomises the British motor industry. We aim a little further than they're actually capable of. Often we get things badly wrong but when we nail it, my god do we nail it. Triumph triples, Jag E types, the McLaren F1.
It is one of my favorite bikes too. Not quite a terror one the track. Good but not quite as good for actual racing. But I don't race so for me on the street it is a masterpiece.. Love that machine. 2017 675r that is.
Awesome video! I knew a lot of this but I learned plenty as well. I'm with you in that the first generation of the 675 converted me to a loyal fan. My 2008 is currently down for electrical issues (because of course it is) but it'll be back on the road soon enough! Love your channel!
the first triple i owned was a 2002 955i and it was amazing torque everywhere super smooth handled amazing and comparing it to a Japanese bike was ahead of its time having injection and fully adjustable suspension. wish i never sold it.
Guess what, Yammie! Yesterday, I bought a brand new Triumph Daytona 675R. I bought the white one, but I wanted the black one. So, I followed in your footsteps after all. I will not miss my R3 :D
Late to the conversation, but get a 955i. I have an ‘06, and it is the best liter bike I have ever ridden. Not as much power as an R1, but the ride is absolutely fantastic.
Great Vid Yammie!!! I mean if U ride a 675 once either Daytona or Streety,,, If U dont come away in love than ur daftly commited to a japanese brand of some sorts!!! 675=Feelin Alive!!! KeepSafe Yamster....
In Triumph's defence (or not...), the TT600 suffered with poor fueling due to Triumph wanting to be the very first 600 supersport to be running fuel injection. The Speed Four and Daytona 600/650 were huge steps forward. Thank you from a fan and TT600 owner (full disclosure).
ahhh.. yammienoob doing the vids and providing the content that I adore! I'm a huge triumph fan, we own 5 of them and my father was a triumph mechanic back in the 70s. worked for the most selling triumph dealer in the US triumph Detroit. also he raced out on Bonniville triumph mcs. I also love the triples but even more triumph triples. keep up the great work and look forward to seeing u in Austin sir!
Awesome video! The 675 is an absolute masterpiece. A video detailing how different motorcycle companies were involved in WWII and why they were useful would be badass
At about 10:16 you say the 2013 refresh included a 400 rpm redline bump up to 14,400 rpm. The 2009(?) to 2012 bikes had a redline of 15,000 rpm, so it was really a 600 rpm drop in redline.
Despite all that happened and what people are saying about you, your crashes and such, I want to tell u that I appreciate your humor in your videos, it is different than all the other motovloggers that I know. I find you make good list-vids, good vloggs and I like the way you explain things. There is a lot that I could say about why I like your channel (and you as a person) but I hope you get the vibe that I am trying to send you with this short boost of "u on fire, dude"
No doubt 675 r is the love of my life. even though I know owning one is a dream but when it comes down to the one which I would choose It's definitely d 675 r.
Great video as always! I think you should do a history of Motogp video, how it's evolved to present day i4 1000cc bikes! Also a history of the isle of mann TT showing just how mental it is compared to track racing. Finally a history of some of the greatest riders and how they got into racing and came through the ranks eg. Agostini, Rossi, Doohan etc.
glad to see you put the yellow D650 in there, we all know the yellow ones are the fastest. that's mine in mythumbnail btw...she still looks fantastic even at 12 years old! (yeah do not read THAT one out of context!)
Just got a beautiful red Triumph Daytona 675! Hey Papa Yam- wanna ask you about my new (used) bike. I got it from a friend of mine two weeks after he got it. He quickly realized he couldn’t ride anymore after a car wreck. When he got it IT WAS PERFECT! I was SO JEALOUS! So when he decided to sell it, I quickly offered cash plus my cbr250r in trade. He eventually agreed, and I got my bike. But despite it having been SO PERFECT only 2 weeks ago, he screwed a lot of shit up on the bike! Are Daytona’s known to overheat? I don’t know much about the bike yet- but I do all my own repairs at all times. If you have a shop manual for the bike I’d appreciate that... He also hardwired the cooling fan to the ignition, and it’s not working. The tail lights aren’t working. Etc.
In keeping with your theme of running down the history of a single bike or line, I will refine my Indian suggestion down to the Scout/Scout Sixty. For when you run out of Euro bikes.
Great content man ! And awesome story teller voice and skills ! My job is a lot about videos and soundediting - and you have some great talent it's not super easy to do a voice over ! And btw I totally agree the latest Daytona is a master piece !
Hey Yammie ! I'm a french rider so I'm still on A2 license but I'm gonna get my full license at the end of this year. I really want to buy a 675R but I'm also looking at the new Street Triple RS, while the Daytona 675R is my dreambike (I just love the looks of it) I'm afraid the new Street Triple RS is better in every way except the looks. Do you plan on trying and making a review of the Street Triple RS ? It would help me a lot coming from someone who's been riding the daytona for a year and a half. I hope you see my commebnts, and btw I love the new direction you took with the channel, keep it up Yammie !
when you see power drift. 😍
The world notices India.
They made just the most perfect Bike review ever with the Tona 2013
Missing Sarge!
I bought this bike ( first generation 675) a month ago...BEST DECISION EVER!!! I LOVE IT!!! So much so that i made this TH-cam chanel to post videos of it.
Do you know what gens tend to have the most problems?

Definitely an interesting watch (thumbs up), I own a 13 Daytona 675 and its an awesome piece of British engineering. When I first brought mine I covered 400 miles in the first day and just over 4000 miles in the first 2-3 months. Best 600 stock I've owned✌
I started to love history . I never did before . All respect for the effort you do Yammie . All love from the middle east - Jordan .
Keep it up, mate.
yep! just re-subscribed!
As a tt600 rider I was ready to blast you on leaving it out. Thumbs up for including it! Keep it up!
I want all your sources cited in mla format, and got dammit I better not see Wikipedia listed.
Ugh the worst....
Hey Yammie! First off, love the videos keep up the good work. Just a suggestion (because this is something I would be interested in seeing), maybe you could go into the history on some of the well known riding gear brands (i.e. Icon, Dainese etc.)
+1
Yammie, I was looking at naked bikes until I got into watching your channel, and slowly but surely you convinced me of the pure raging awesomeness that is the Daytona 675! So I just bought a 2006 model. Definitely couldn't be happier with my decision!
You didn't even give the street triple a shout out! It's literally the same bike minus fairings with a re-tuned engine.
Different cams and a few other different internals actually.
history of KTM?
+1 for KTM!!!!
I'll sub AND buy a shirt if you do KTM.
Buy, take back for repair, ride, take back for repair... There u go
I bought a KTM shirt for Max Verstappen lol
I own a Daytona 600 from 2004 and I really love it, don't really need to compete with the other bikes from the era, at least for a street use, it's truly amazing
I have a 2009 and it’s the best 🙌🏻 The induction howl is the most addictive noise I’ve ever heard on a bike!

I own a 2004 600 too
The times when I was cruising some nice smooth curvy roads on my tornado red 2007 Daytona 675 were some of the best times I’ve had riding or driving anything. I miss it almost everyday
had a 955i for 35000 miles and although the styling never really grabbed me the engine never stopped putting a smile on my face, what a noise!
I too love the Daytona 675.
People say that it's the best bike to buy even if you have all the money in the world
I just bought a 675 for track use. All the parts are backwards compatible. Wheels, dampers, slipper clutch, shocks, steering head etc.
This means you can get near r6 performance at SV650 prices. Most of these parts like ohlins suspension can be bought cheap on Ebay and further upgraded from there.
The powerdrift review of this beast is just amazing...!!!
yammie noob these are awesome. I'm waiting for the cbr.
history of husqvarna?
20 minutes video incoming
I ride a '01 955i Speedie and Love It. Lots of low-end torque like no other. Next a '13+ Daytona for me.
Finally Sagar sheldekar featured on yammie's video
I support the "Never let Yammie near another Baetonna ever again" charity
NEWS FLASH: man single-handedly kills off whole triumph Daytona population
Love the first gen 675. Great video.
such a shame it's now discontinued.... they truly are amazing bikes! the 2013-2016 will hold value because of the limited run and low exhaust.
was not expecting this video to be anywhere near as good as it was. fantastic job yammie!!! huge effort has paid off!
and thanks for making great content!

Yammie- you forgot about the factory fire. That's pretty important as it gave them a chance to modernize the facilities.
I have a 98 Daytona 959 what a damn fine bike with black widow undertail exhaust near red line it screams like a Lamborghini I've been round bikes my whole life and it has the best exhaust note I've heard from a bike

I couldn't agree more. been promoting this bike to my fellow citizens (here heavily influence on japanese bike).
It is one of my favorite bikes too. Not quite a terror one the track. Good but not quite as good for actual racing. But I don't race so for me on the street it is a masterpiece.. Love that machine. 2017 675r that is.
History of Honda CBR please
I'm praying to our Lord Rossi, that Yammie does one!
thanks you diverted my mind from honda cbr 600rr to triumph daytona 675r for dreambike
I got stuck in the mid2000's and still think under seat exhausts are the shit! Haha
Your not wrong!
Just wanted to say I'm really enjoying these history lessons!
I have a 04 Daytona 600 and love when it's nice enough here in Washington state to ride it.
Best thing to see on friday during your last class?? A notification for a new Yammie video
that powerdrift footage though! :D +PowerDrift
Awesome video! I knew a lot of this but I learned plenty as well. I'm with you in that the first generation of the 675 converted me to a loyal fan. My 2008 is currently down for electrical issues (because of course it is) but it'll be back on the road soon enough!

Dont have a Daytona, but i love my 2011 Sprint GT. Somewhat a larger bike, but the 1050 triple is such an amazing engine
it was the best thing they ever did coming up with the 675 triple...which spawned into my Street Triple which I've happily owned for 6yrs
Guess what, Yammie! Yesterday, I bought a brand new Triumph Daytona 675R. I bought the white one, but I wanted the black one. So, I followed in your footsteps after all. I will not miss my R3 :D

I have an 02 Daytona 955i with the DSSA . One of the rarest Daytona's ever made
In Triumph's defence (or not...), the TT600 suffered with poor fueling due to Triumph wanting to be the very first 600 supersport to be running fuel injection. The Speed Four and Daytona 600/650 were huge steps forward. Thank you from a fan and TT600 owner (full disclosure).
Aaron Marsh lol I ride one too! I like the cosmetics over the D600, but hate the idle surge.
That red '37 Speed Twin looks sweet, and I'm not a vintage bike guy...
ahhh.. yammienoob doing the vids and providing the content that I adore! I truly believe both you and your audience would be extremely interested and surprised with a video like this for the Isle Of Man TT
The 955i is a beast bro, your absolutely right, I hit a 100 in first, on a faringless triple, the tiger isn't as peppy in the 955 though.
Great video. I learned I own 2 BMWs, a s1000rr and a 675.
A friend of mine got a first generation 675 back in 08 and that's when I caught bike fever
I'm not a triumph guy but I can def appreciate their beauty.
Awesome video! Daytona 675s are awesome too!
Despite all that happened and what people are saying about you, your crashes and such,

I just picked up a 1998 Daytona 955i with only 15,000 km really clean!
I've always had an inexplicable appreciation for the Triumph and Buell brands. They just seem to have a unique and interesting vibe IMO.
Great vid! Love the Daytona!
Now if they could can that frellis (fake trellis) subframe, we'd be in business!!
I just started getting into motorcycles and you've been very helpful and entertaining! Keep up the great videos!
No doubt 675 r is the love of my life. even though I know owning one is a dream but when it comes down to the one which I would choose It's definitely d 675 r.

speed triple would be fantastic! seen a lot of film action
Great small documentary!!
R.I.P. \m/ Ride in peace
You see quite a few old 955i at Trackdays here in England. Cheap to pick up and handles (comparatively) good
Excellent history summary, Cheers....
The first gen Daytona 675 looks amazing.
I've got an '02 955i in nice shape if ever you find yourself in vancouver, come give it a ride
Great video, love it. Been a big triumph fan myself for while now, looking the get my first one soon, either a Daytona 675 or a street triple r
Love these types of videos
Very nice video Sir!

Thank you so much for another really interesting video!
Thanks for making this informative and entertaining video 👌🏻
glad to see you put the yellow D650 in there, we all know the yellow ones are the fastest.
that's mine in mythumbnail btw...she still looks fantastic even at 12 years old! (yeah do not read THAT one out of context!)
Yammie please do Aprilia history, it's really interesting and not many people know much about it
Loving this video format mate!
I'll be interested to hear how you think the new 765 Series stacks up once you talk to dealer into test ride.
In keeping with your theme of running down the history of a single bike or line, I will refine my Indian suggestion down to the Scout/Scout Sixty. For when you run out of Euro bikes.
Great video! i would love to get an R, but so hard to find one around here. Keep up the great work :)

#powerdrift 😎
as the era is coming to a close please do a farewell CBR history!
Yo Yammie. Thumbs up for the PowerDrift clip.
Honda history. VFR, CBR. also yr try to ride a RC51. I think you'll love it.
