Nice work. A suggestion, 3M spray on upholstery glue, the best. You do have to work a little faster, but can be heated and moved around. Much easier to apply also, spray evenly other than globs of glue. Also, light rub with alcohol will get excess glue off. Nice job for first time. Enjoy your stuff.

Thanks for doing the video. I am doing the door panel now that Ive watched your video. I have the dash, the kneeboard and center console leather to do. Now I'll include the doors. It's a great video and Ill be using it when I start my doors.

I’m no expert at leather fitting either but when I paid 1,000 for a full custom color leather seat set when I had a F body Camaro , it was a perfect fit when done, you couldn’t tell a single difference from the original leather fit. There must be better kits out there then the one you got. For three hundred dollars the leather should have been press fitted with steam or something in a door panel mold to retain the need shape so it was just a glue drop and cut job.

Hey I know this is an old comment, but where did you find a service that leather fits the door panels?

@@nachosinmay 2008 was a long time ago, I’d have to give it some thought of how I could track down where I got my seat leather made.

It sure looks good. I would have it so screwed up, no way I would try that.

Maybe I missed it, but I never saw the contact cement get applied to the leather, only the door panel. Typically contact cement is placed on both surfaces, allowed to set up and them the two surfaces are attached. The bond is almost instant. I just installed the shifter boot and brake handle on my C5 from this company, good quality. Thinking about doing the dash with their cover this winter but seems a bit intimidating.

Well, you need to applauded for jumping in full bore...not sure I would? Pretty time consuming for a swap of factory issues vs. poor quality leather fitment issues. I have been thinking of a solution that follows the concave shape only, as a bolt on, so to speak, but it has not matured into reality yet. Your effort and vid are well appreciated.
