I have seen enough bird and duck videos to be more than convinced that I must own my own birb someday. With a good quirky name too like Ben Afquack.
Be willing to clean up after them. Many birds are not house trainable.

Only in special cases (bond with motherless goose) one can have only one bird!
I don't know if you should keep them, as I don't know if it's right to keep them in a home. Duck Norris is a good name though.

Please don't get a duck. Rescues are the exception. But the sale of chicken and duck eggs results in the chicks imprinting on the humans then often ending up in shelters or never getting to see their natural water habitats.

This guy is fooling himself if he actually think that duck likes him, get that duck a buddy and watch how fast that duck will want nothing to do with him.
I have 16 ducks and 6 geese, Likes Corvus said, the only reason this duck likes the guy is because it has imprinted on the guy and that all it knows. If you want ducks you need to get atleast 2 as they are very social animals.
A best friend come in all shapes and sizes and species too

I had a duck like this. He was amazing! I have pictures of us all sitting around the table playing cards and board games, and he would always win! “Pay the duck” became a frequently used phrase in our house. He would run to the door with the dogs when the doorbell rang, and was best buddies with my oldest shepherd. He also loved the cats! You two are lucky to have each other!

Our Pekin family is like this too...good job Ben and owner...we wouldn't trade our friendship for nothing..they truly have amazing loving personality and never attack...their all sweet hearts and absolutely love attention...

I bonded with my chicken because she was the runt and she was bullied. She always seemed special because she was never afraid of me as a chick. Anytime I put my hand in front of her, she jumped on my hand and fell asleep. Today she is actually the largest chicken we have. Cool duck! We used to have 4 of them, but they were very grumpy and wouldn't let us handle them. They were also smelly, phew!
BUT, they were a lot of fun to watch and I never got tired of looking at the green iridescence of their feathers (the ducks were black) and the smoothness and streamlined shape of their heads and bodies. They were a riot when they chased my dog around. In the mornings they'd make a raucous to be let out of their coop so they could run around the yard and scoop up all the slugs that had surfaced during the night. They and the chickens made for great pest control.
I miss all of them...

While growing up we had a veritable menagerie of animals cats dogs hamsters lizards guinea pigs etc,
But my older brother loved ducks we had many but one stays in my mind Jacob was his name .
He was our “ watch duck” when myself and my four siblings would play in our front yard we were told to keep an eye on our baby sister.
Of course we would forget but Jacob didn’t every single time she get ANYWHERE near near the curb he would quack .like crazy.

I think “he” is a “she”. Male ducks don’t quack like that, just whisper and I didnt see a curly tail feather which is characteristic of male ducks (though they don’t have them outside mating season.

I have a duck too and he is so smart just like that duck. He has a favorite song, I have to talk to him to settle down or else he won’t go to bed, and he follows me. Ducks are so smart and they are amazing pets!
