Amelia and DW have long since passed. Amelia died on June 17 2013 due to being egg-bound, and I heard in a comment from the owner of this channel that DW was killed by a Coyote after Amelia passed. Really sad stuff :(

They are great companions. I'm 73 years young and live my duck children in a remote area with 20 hectares with lots of fresh water ponds on our own. They produce about 200 ducklings each year and most fly off and establish their own breeding sites. The older ducks and drakes stay with me. This has being going on for 11 years. We need more water fowl to get the environment back to good order. Thanks for showing people how ducks can be great company.

My pair grew to be 4 and a half years old. The male (George) died of a dog attack and the female (princess) was too sad and passed away a couple of weeks later naturally. Thanks for the video. I haven't thought about my ducks since 2008 and this did me well.

zymbotictoot you should get some information, they're pretty clever :) They aren't just as "friendly" or "obidient" as dogs. Same for the pigs, they're more intelliigent than the dogs but they aren't usually that obidient.

Our rooster would jump off the bike, and chase him around the house, our son would try and get his bike, stop and go the other way, so did the rooster, he was quite smart, wish we had it on video.
I have two ducks on my property around my pond. I swear they are like dogs, they follow me everywhere! They are 'wild' (?) but I think they believe I am their mother or something because I feed them; it's really cool. They now have a home in my garage at night... I'm afraid foxes, badgers, or mountain lions will get them :-(

hi I'm a bird keeper at one of the zoo' in Devon it can over time if handling the bird every day it can damage the feathers conditioning by removing oils making them less water proof and start to split so wane it rains or if they are in deep water thay can't fly very well 🙂
IRON MIKE absolutely. Bought my little boy 2 ducks a couple of years ago. He named them Mona and Jona. They blew my mind. They were just like dogs. Where ever you go they have to go with you and they love attention. I built them a home outside, now whenever we go in the house they sit and quack at the back door. They are the best pets ever.

What a beautiful video you made. I'm currently raising 2 Pekin ducklings, they just turned 1 month this week, their birthday is April 14th 😊 they re just such a joy to be raising. My 12yr old ordered let me knowing with a gift card I gave her in her Easter basket, LOL so they showed up on our doorstep, surprise! I was not too happy about it but after I open the box and fell in love with them I had to let her keep them and we've been raising them ever since it's been an exciting month. hi I'm a bird keeper at one of the zoo' in Devon it can over time if handling the bird every day it can damage the feathers conditioning by removing oils making them less water proof and start to split so wane it rains or if they are in deep water thay can't fly very well 🙂

IRON MIKE absolutely. Bought my little boy 2 ducks a couple of years ago. He named them Mona and Jona. They blew my mind. They were just like dogs. Where ever you go they have to go with you and they love attention. I built them a home outside, now whenever we go in the house they sit and quack at the back door. They are the best pets ever.

What a beautiful video you made. I'm currently raising 2 Pekin ducklings, they just turned 1 month this week, their birthday is April 14th 😊 they re just such a joy to be raising. My 12yr old ordered let me knowing with a gift card I gave her in her Easter basket, LOL so they showed up on our doorstep, surprise! I was not too happy about it but after I open the box and fell in love with them I had to let her keep them and we've been raising them ever since it's been an exciting month. Duck parents are definitely blessed parents LOL
