Sideneck turtles are divided into 5, including: red chest, white chest, branderhorsti white chest, pink chest and snake neck / long neck. For turtles which are commonly referred to in English as Pink Belly the correct name for this one sideneck is red chest,Because the term pink belly refers more to one of the sidenecks called pink chest

As far as the vermiculite, is that something that can be purchased anywhere or does it need to be purchased somewhere that sells it specifically for pets? I'm curious because I don't know if dangerous additives are in vermiculite intended for plants. Thanks!

I have a res who laid 5 eggs today outside. After brining her back inside I noticed she still has the bumps between her back legs and her tail like she did before she laid. It was getting dark when she covered her nest. Is it possible that she is still carrying some eggs but didn't lay them because it wasn't light outside anymore? If not why does she still have the "egg bumps"?

I have a question, do african sideneck turtles bury themselves before they lay eggs or do they generally dig a hole and lay the eggs? We have a male and female of sidenecks. The female has eggs and we made a nesting box and soon after we put her in she buried herself in the soil mixture. We watch your channel so we figured we'd ask you for advice. Thanks

Love your turtles and tortoises also I have a question,what's the ideal size for an black Greek tortoise (western Greek tortiose) breeding enclosure the longest I can go is 7 foot long and two feet wide but it's indoors and off breeding season I'll put a divider in the middle so my male doesn't stress out my future female im getting
If I can go smaller I will so I have storage shelves
Jeramiah Green 8x4 would be a minimum for an indoor group and I wouldn't suggest having a 1.1 group. I know you'll separate them but during the season the stress put on the female by the male will stress her out.

Jeramiah Green What I'm saying is 8x4 is the minimum for a year-round indoor group, and having a 1.1 (1 male to 1 female) is a bad idea. You have a lot to learn and understand before you want to undertake breeding. What will you do with all the babies? Do you have the proper licenses to sell? Do some more research.
Will put babies in special tank in my room will get 2 females since I already have a male and will get the license right before I start letting them breed
