It would ruin the content... The retarded editing that is required by American TV and doing material that is forced upon you would ruin this awesome show. It's perfect the way it is, he just needs to get paid more for it.
We have our Sulcata tortoise. I am looking around ideas building an outside encloser. Thank you for the great ideas. I know you do not think Washington State is not a good area to raise them. We love him and will do anything for him. By the way his name is Dexter. You are great and will be watching your videos. My first time raising a tortoise he really a joy to have. He now is nine years old and doing great have a family member that is a vet so he really healthy guy and he is weights 50 lbs. Thank you for all your shared information.
Thank you for all the all the helpful tips. I've had my Russian tortoise for two weeks and I'm trying to learn everything about tortoises. Also love you orange fur baby.
Hi Kenyan I'm from the UK 🇬🇧 And I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate your thoroughly enjoyable videos we're currently experiencing an heatwave over here and my Mediterranean spur thighed tortoises which I've had 41 years have been loving it, is never an easy feat looking after them with the normal rapid fluctuations in temperature, but I always do my best, they hibernate from usually November to March, Somthing I learned years ago was never to use Hay as bedding as mould spors can develop, I look forward to watching your next videos and learning new stuff, Keep up the good work.
Great advice; there's a young male Sulcata at a shelter I wish I could rescue, but I won't be able to accommodate it's need for space or outdoor weather conditions.
I know I know ... Max is going no where until he gets a good pet. Oh , the video is great too. So much great info. I love how he speaks about recycling materials, Very cost effective!
Love ❤️ your turtles 🐢 l just love ❤️ them and l enjoy 😊 your videos saw you on brains videos on how to trim there pick l could tell you love ❤️ them all the best to you always
Awesome video! I wish up here in canada we could use pens like this. Would you be able to share what plants and stuff are growing in the Mediterranean tortoises, hermanns, stars etc.
Neaghberhood pages can be fun too. One time someone dumped out a couch. Someone found it and took a picture. Posted it and let the run begin! After a lot of photos someone set it on fire... It was kinda in a area that's elevated from a road by the neaghberhood entrance....
My mom struggles with her Sulcatas 😂 so funny that they’re always naked “bulldozer” because it’s perfect! On the occasion that they’ve been loose with the Russians, the little Russian tortoises try to show them their open beaks and chase the female around
I love all your videos, they are just so interesting, plz can you make a video of you running and maintaining your park, feeding all the tortoises and other reptiles. and just generally filming the tortoises doing their daily thing. I have two Hermann tortoises as I live in the u.k, they have so much fun running around our big garden. :D
Ok this is the first video I've watched of you and I love reptiles to I have a turtle of my own and Im going to leave a like and I'm going to subscribe
When I lived in Ohio out in the southern farmland, box turtles would migrate through my yard every year. I would snag a few of them for a few weeks, keep them corralled in my yard in a small area and then after a week or three I'd open it up and they would eventually leave.I would spoil them and feed them while they were there.
thx kenan really helpful, I got a sulcata and have a very big backyard but if it gets too big my family has a farm so all I was wondering what kind of plants you plant for them
I love to reclaim unwanted material. I hate to see it go into the land fill.just the other day I made an outdoor painted turtle inclosure from material I got out of a dumpster from a new store opening. I love ur channel and the education you provide. Thank you for all you do.
I have a 170 pound Sulcata that I'm inheriting soon. I'm in Phoenix, I have purchased a basking heat lamp and thermostat. I'm wondering if I build out of recycled concrete for the walls (I just got some from a neighbor tearing up a driveway), do the spray foam insulation (did you do that yourself?) and then maybe do a roof out of wood and metal roofing material if you think that is a good plan? I only want to build an enclosure once, so I'm also wondering if 4'x5' is big enough? She is 15 and my backyard is 2700 sq ft.
i live in the uk , i have two sulcata tortoise i am building an enclosure and was thinking of using poly carbonate sheets for the frunt side and the roof ,,, the roof is a removable,, so they can still wonder on a dull day and still be warm would this be ok
Can I use a little stock tank for red foot tortoises? Can I also just slap a heater on it so it is warm inside when it is cold outside in spring and summer nights?
I have a field here in UK. I hope to get a Sulcata tortoise locally, do you think he/she will be okay in the spring, autumn and winter in either my garage or heated shed, during these cold months and outside during the sunny days and summer months? Or will it be okay outside if it's around 15 degrees Celsius, I don't know what that is in Fahrenheit?
We own 4 acres and we are thinking of getting some sulcatas for our yard but we have metal see through fences and I am not to keen on going around the fence with wood on 4 acres. Do you have any ideas to fix this.
+Kamp Kenan Hi Kenan, I am making an outdoor enclosure for my Russian tortoise, but I don`t have much space to work with. Do you have any advice/ suggestions? I live in Ohio and the weather can get pretty unpredictable sometimes so my major concern was with making a place for shade like you had with the barn, but since I don`t have a lot of space I don`t know what to "make" as shelter. I only have one Russian tortoise right now, but will be getting another soon. So the shelter doesn`t have to be that big. Thanks a ton.
Hi Kamp Kenan. I wonderd what tortoise i should get since i live in NY. It gets very cold here. I also would like a toroise that i can keep in my pen i am making. Shuld i get a vision cage for winter. Can you please help me.
I've actually asked a question about diet before, I'm actually growing my tortoises food but of course it takes time for things to grow, what grocery store or outdoor options would you suggest in the meantime? I live in Texas and we have a huge cactus in our backyard and of course it grows fruit and we have dandelions popping up but I don't think that's enough variety what should I do?
Hey! So I plan on getting 1 or 2 red foot tortoises, now I'm most likely gonna get young ones. I live in SC and I'm wondering if they can last year round, of course coming in during cold fronts. For there young age they will live in a cinder block ring (About 7 ft across) covered In chicken mesh, is this okay? They will of course have a humid hide away, water and food dish, ect. Also should I get them from a online breeder and get them shipped to me or from repticon?
*Also when they are adult they will have the whole yard to their self which is fenced off with 7ft tall fencing that is not see through and if some how they get out there is a second wire fence.
Hello, i have a specific question abaout the enclosure. Because you did everything with foam. what about the ventilation? fresh air? i asl because i am planning a new sulcata enclosure. respect and regards.
hey i live up north and im planning on getting a sulcata tortoise and i have a 20 acres of land any tips for me on keeping my tortoise warm happy and healthy during the colder and winter months?
i live in Long island NY and my tortoise Larry is getting big, yet still small compared to others. am i just supposed to keep creating new spots for my tortoise home? and if so what should i use? maybe you can make a video about an indoor enclosure or just reply. Thank you!
Hey I live in Long Island too. I recommend building a enclosure that is big enough to house your tortoise when it's full grown. This way you won't have to worry about building and deconstructing multiple enclosures. Make sure your tortoise has access to your yard in the summer bec the sun is the best source for UV for them. Good luck :)
Wow thx Kamp glad i found u I have a sulcata tortoise n I'm trying to find out his age he's about 20in I measured him top shell from head to end shell only he weigh 10 to 15ps... can u give me his age plz thx
I live in NH and have found tortoise here that are not cared well for and have taken in two of them. One Red Foot that I'm going to be making an outside space in the spring. His care was not the best, he has been kept in a plastic bin. The info on care is very poor in pet stores up here. I also have a herman. I was just wondering what area would they need for an outside pen. I have almost 4 acres so we have room to play.
Hello! I have a question...I have Greek Tortoises (Testudo hermanni), still very young. I'm building their outdoor space. I'd like to know how do you "clean" water in jungle gym? I have a small pool in their indoor terrarium but I change water every day, because it gets very dirty very soon. Thank you for your answer! Greetings from Slovenia!
Im always curious about fire ant control methods. Over N Out works very well when spread over your whole yard, but I assume its not good for tortoises.
cool... I was afraid for sulcatas I would have to do the dog trick and bury, say, hogwire fencing (chicken wire on steroids) down a couple feet and then bend and bring it backward a couple feet and cover it up (dogs never figure this out and just keep trying to dig right up against the fence wall and never figure out if they backed up three feet they could tunnel out in the direction of the fence wall). But maybe sulcatas will stop? I'm scared regarding my outermost, property perimeter. First thing wild, native gopher tortoises do is find the fence and dig their home burrow there for some reason, more than any tree, building, or obstruction. But of course I'm not keeping those in by any means (unfortunately this exposes them to traffic and people throwing them in ponds, but it's quite illegal to contain gopher tortoises, so I'm putting up signs). Gophers have taken up refuge here, free to come and go, because all the neighbors scalp their lawns, poison, or have 24/7 dogs outside.
I love that he’s encouraging everyone to reuse materials. Budget friendly and good for the environment 👍🏻 Thanks for everything Kenan!
that kitty wants your love
You should get a deal on Animal Planet or Nat Geo Wild mate
Agreed!

He tried, they said naaa & started another show with his idea. Not sure what show or which network but it was in one of his videos
I really respect and admire your keeping Kenan. Also glad you strongly highlight it in your videos unlike others.
Setting a good example.

That satisfied feeling when he finally pets that adorable, sweetiepie cat!
Right? Lolololol. I was ready to fly to Florida and pet Max myself
Also, if Sulcata's are motivated and get get a clear footing, they will climb! My vegetable garden was my 110 lb sulcata's motivation

I was just waiting for him to pet the cat and I would just respond to your comment
Thank you for all the all the helpful tips. I've had my Russian tortoise for two weeks and I'm trying to learn everything about tortoises. Also love you orange fur baby.
lol did he just say sulcatas can't climb
tell that to my sulcata
+William S. yeah haha my Rockadoo is almost 150 pounds and he can climb a bit....
My "little guy" can easily clear anything 12" or less. When they want out, they find a way.
William S. send your sulcata tortoise to a mountaineering institute

I have tiny gravel (fish tank pebbles) in my baby leopard's substrate. Once in a while she will eat a little bit of it to clean her intestinal tract.
hi kamp kenan i live in houston what kind of tortoise do you think i should get. i was thinking hermanns tortoise
i love your videos
what are some good small tortoise species that only get to the size of your fist
Would the small pen you've got their barn in be enough space for a few large tortoises? I'm interested in them, but that's about all the space I have.
I have a 1 yr old sulcata and she has started digging a burrow and im worried about it caving in on her or an animal getting her any tips

Do you get hurricanes there?
What do you do to try to keep ants out of your tortoise enclosures?
Sure do wish those prices were current
urghhhh, i want to work here so bad!!
Hey Kenan, great information. Do you do anything to control ants in your tortoise enclosures?
second question. At what size do you no longer worry about roaming predators---racoons, opossums, etc?
George Miller I believe he has electric perimeter fence around entire property for that reason.
Im always curious about fire ant control methods. Over N Out works very well when spread over your whole yard, but I assume its not good for tortoises.
