I ordered a Corolla Cross Atmos in Jungle Khaki in early Nov 22. After waiting 10 months, I was advised its about to be built in Sep 2023 and delivered early to mid Oct. It will be interesting to see when I receive it and whether I get the colour I want. It looks a good car. I live alone so it will have plenty of room for my needs. You can adjust the height of the tailgate to several different positions. I appreciate its a bit higher which is imp for an older person. Apparently Atmos is an abbreviation for atmosphere. Maybe a bit of useless info. I think bigger people like bigger cars. That is OK.
Those coloured cars are shipped to Ukraine , pick up in Kiev. 😆
Ordered mine as well in early Nov 22. Atmos AWD in Moondust. And surprisingly it will be here this week 😱😍

@@lindsayh9094 It was in Adelaide. But delivery day has been delayed a week or so because of quarantine vehicles.
@@willrich1604 Lucky you. Online Toyota says an Atmos will take 8+ months. I hope you are happy with it.

Hi Trent, Appreciate your down to earth comments, especially highlighting trade-off between rear passenger space and boot storage. Not sure if this vehicle is for me . . . at 6'2'' with need to accommodate growing grand-kids. Otherwise, I'd love to own a new Corolla Cross Atmos!

The Corolla sedan has way more rear legroom than this they should have made rear seat slide back when you don't need as much boot space.

Don’t like how the exhaust muffler hangs down from the rear. Looks cheap.
Great review but i have a question. When you say you like that it's flat in the back with seats down, it doesnt look smooth. There appears to be a fold bump when the rear seats are down. Could a person lay in the back?
The seats fold flat, but not level, so without something to fill in the rearmost section of the boot, there is a step between the boot floor and rear seats.

I agree with you on the volume dial.
In my opinion they went with buttons because they can be closer passenger and easier to reach. I wanted a knob but think this works well
I'm kinda the same with my RAV4 with regards to the A/C fan speed buttons - would MUCH prefer for them to be a dial to adjust rather than buttons.
I can't remember ever using the volume knob in my CRV while driving - my hands are on the steering wheel and the volume controls are right under my thumb and far easier (and safer) to reach.
Yes, no sure why the volume knob is such an issue. Why would the driver even reach for it when the steering wheel volume control is right under your thumb

Regarding lack of tyre pressure monitoring - does the car display any warning on the dash if one of the tyres is leaking? I thought it was mandatory for safety for all new cars to warn the driver is any given tyre was flat. Particularly at night, where you wont be able to see if your tyre is low/flat. This car has a 5-star safety rating, how can it be? In fact, I thought it applies to any brand new car on sale in recent years. I have 2008 BMW and Mercedes, both have warning light on the dash if a tyre is flat. Very puzzling.

The USB A charger in the front cabin is for wired Android Auto. At the moment it needs to be the USB A. That is what I found out when I test drove one.
Not true, AA works over USB-C. That was the dealer trying to pull one over on you
The problem with Toyota cross but this applies to all Toyotas and Toyota are aware of this it's that nearly half of Toyotas sold are used as a mechanism to make a profit as soon as they are picked up from the dealer's they appear on car sales sites
True a lot of people try to make a fast dollar that way, i guess the only thing to stop this practice is for us as consumers not to play there silly game.

Well it ain't cheap but top spec Subaru Crosstrek hybrid is about 45 000 AUD and I'd prefer the look, the power (145 kW) and the lower fuel consumption of the Toyota. Do you get the 145 kW engine down under?
People who buy this would never go off road like most "SUV" owners. So why would you get the awd version
Safer in the wet, more traction off the go and multi-link rear suspension.
@@EnShinNoi Exactly. Neither the Corolla Cross nor the RAV4 are "off-road" vehicles per se, but the AWD does give you better traction when taking off hard (especially in the wet) and with regards to better towing capacity.
All latest cars have abs and traction control. This is a small car. You don’t need AWD even in wet conditions. Four good branded tyres are enough. Just need to check and service the tyres every 10k kms.
@@shaiun You don't need it but that doesn't mean it's not safer with it.
Toyota Hilux is a go-anywhere car. You can only drive 2wd (2h mode) on sealed roads including wet sealed roads and gravel roads. If you need it, Hilux would provide a full 4wd option on sealed roads. But it doesn’t provide unless you are on dirt/iced/snowed road. For proper off-roading, Hilux provides 4h and 4l options depending on the situation.
People should get driving lessons to learn how to drive on rainy days. It is worth and cheaper than buying an AWD Corolla
When I booked tried to book a test drive, my local toyota dealer advised of a 3 year wait time for the hybrid. What a joke. Worse than the rav4
Go and have a look at the Havel jolion hybrid fully loaded and the hybrid spec exceeds Toyota hybrid slightly cheaper available.And before you start banging on about Toyota reliability blah blah the likes of MG and Havel don't seem to be going back to the dealer in droves . forget the badge judge the car on it's merit

I've only seen it in the skin in white. Butt ugly. Could be proven wrong in other colours. Looks like a Toyota parts bin gone wrong. I thought it might therefore prove itself in space inside... apparently not 😬
