@@Nightakula Just look at this truck compared to a 2nd or third gen TRD pro. This is a way better truck. I'm sorry, you can't compare the generations on price. Like comparing a Cadillac to a Chevy

Toyota should give the option of changing the front seats. What’s the point of the backseats if no one can sit there? They should leave those front seats for a single cab truck.
I know I’m not the first, and I know I won’t be the last. I think Toyota knocked the design out of the park on the new models… HOWEVER the price jump is absolutely outrageous. Plus being built in Mexico is a slap in the face
Totally agree with you there bro, as a Mexican myself, the quality control in Mexican plants is questionable to say the least and don't forget they're paid less than half of U.S. minimum wage.
I thought the point to having a pickup of any size was to increase practicality. I’m not sure how big the guy is recording this but he looks small. I am not a small person. Having the junk on the back of the driver and passenger seats just seems to create the opposite effect on practicality. Not being able to have people in the back seat while I’m driving is a problem especially at the price point. Not sure whether having those seats or not is an option with the taco pro but it’s definitely a question I have.
I am 7’9” 550 pounds and I would like to confirm that the leg space in the back seat is plentiful. Went on a trip, riding in the back seat from Alaska to Florida with supreme comfort every mile.
Holy shit. This is my new truck. I was tryin to figure out what color to get, but this red interior.. Definitely getting black exterior with red interior. And your boy driving fast af. LOVE IT!
Maybe because it's something that almost everyone uses on a daily basis, and almost everyone depends on it to be able to live adequate to their daily needs, and bigger is better for convenience and versatility of use? If you don't like it there are plenty of new cars without a screen you could buy.
Spent two days in a new 24’ TRD Offroad. Wasn’t impressed at all. The gauge cluster menu and nav thru it is not intuitive at all. Took several minutes to get phone to connect to truck. Truck looks bigger, but back seat area seems just as small.
That red interior is not my fav.. but I understand it’s a scheme. Also would have gone for the manual. Very curious to see how this turbo 4 cylinder holds up. The Tacoma hasn’t been the truck that lasts forever since the mid 2000s and a bigger screen doesn’t spell durability to me.. it spells a really expensive problem that could happen after warranty leaves and warranty does not last long
It's a beautiful truck, but those rear seats shocks are useless they're taking a lot of leg room to sit in the back unless you're a kid or a very small size person, and the screen is huge toyota could've integrated in the dash not on the very top, actually can be a big diastraction for the driver, besides that the truck looks very capable as always
How much is the zr2 bison ? Isn't that the more fair comparison to the pro ? From what I've seen pro is the same price in Canada after insane mark ups on ranger raptor and zr2 bison. Even zr2 has bad markups in some areas.
If the 2024 tacoma trd pro isn't atleast reliable than the price is a huge fail. Only excuse is I'm paying for the higher kms and higher reliability. If it costs way more and has less features and is just as reliable than toyota are screwed.
@@canadaspy007 No, the Pro really competes with the ZR2. The Bison has significantly more off road options - full skid plates everywhere, full 3" lift, 33" tires, etc. I never thought that a full Raptor treatment on the Ranger would look like good value when compared to the Tacoma but here we are.
So what? It's a 4 cylinder turbo manufactured in Mexico by workers paid less than half of U.S. minimum wage and quality control in Mexican plants is questionable. Not the mention the absurd near $13,000 jump from the 2023 model that has a V6 and was made still in San Antonio. This 4 cylinder piece of junk is definitely not worth $65k imo.
@jackdog4090 Good luck finding a SR anywhere near that price. Here in Texas almost impossible in my area since Gulf States Toyota is a private distributor and nearly all SRs are anywhere from $37 to $42k.
for all of you crying about the price... if you didn't make enough money during covid to pay for this truck ALL CASH then maybe look to the used market. It's like you people are just now discovering inflation...
Raptor is a Baja truck. Dust and dirt will clog the perforated seats so no cooled seats. Cooled seat makes sense for trucks that aren’t for Baja type desert running use.
Toyota jacked up the features that’s why it’s cost too much. TRD Pro doesn’t need a moonroof, ISO DS should only be an option, right there is almost $10k less. Easier to justify. Ranger Raptor will out sell the TRD Pro due to price difference.
I have a hilux 2.8 manual 4x4.. it's the best truck for work for me.. seeing this makes me meh, like what the heck are those electronics on that tailgate? You don't even need that sh*t also a gas engine inline 4 in a pick up body? 😂 Like that car identifies as a pick up and lastly that price is ridiculously expensive for a midsize. But what I want here is the interior design hope toyota gets this design to update the interior of the GR-S Hilux at least.
Call me the minority but HATE that giant screen. They always look like an after thought the way they protrude up an out. I guess I don't have to worry though as I can't afford a $65K truck/ $1000 monthly car note.
Not gonna lie, it looks pretty badass. That being said, $64k for a midsize truck is almost insulting.
