Hey Al Z! Thanks for the kind words. I made the test ride yesterday and I'm in the process of organizing my clips in files. I am going to get that done and I can start editing the next episode. I hope to have it up on the channel maybe tomorrow. Stay tuned!

Nice thorough videos . Craig. As meticulous as you are this is gonna a fine machine . 16000 miles is nothing for that engine- It's barely broken in. I bought a '97 in 2021 after 50 plus years of owning Harleys. It out rides and out performs any Harley I ever owned.
Mine is custom painted with a few modifications. I'll never part with it. Everybody and their 3rd cousin has a Harley anymore which killed my desire to ever own another one. Anyway , Happy wrenching and customizing !

Hi there. Gee thanks for the kind words. My Valkyrie is on hold for a while. I bought a house in the country last March and move out of the place I owned for 31 years! You may know how much you accumulate in 31 years. It's been a job. Further, the new place needed a fair amount of work. The main reason I did this is because it has a very large shop. So first I had to do some things on the main house and property. That is largely done. Now, I'm working on my shop. It has a rental apartment upstairs, and an upstairs storeroom accessible from my shop. An office, a workshop, a bathroom and two 30 X 36 bays with 18' ceiling. It was largely unfinished except for the apartment which I rent to lady. About half of the walls and ceiling in the bays were sheathed in 7/16 OSB. The wiring was unfinished. So, I have all the rooms done now, and I finished the wiring, added 5 circuits including a 240 volt for my welder on the far side bay wall. There is one inside the workshop area. Many wall outlets. I built a 6X6' building outside for my big shop air. compressor. running the air underground into the shop. I'm currently painting the sheathing that is already up and hanging more. I installed LED High Bay lighting...2000 watts in 10 units. I'll be installing a 10,000 pound 2 post auto lift in the bay near the workshop After I finish the bays, I need to build cabinets and work benches in the workshop where I will have my MC lift table and complete my motorcycle build. I think that will be on toward next summer at the soonest. I have a long way to go. My goal for September is to have all the bay sheathing up and painted the bright white. I'm on it daily so I can get back on the Valkyrie project. Thanks for looking at the videos. Regards from Washington State farm country. I just shot a video explaining all of this which should be up on the channel soon. Craig

Installed a similar gear shift support on my Kawasaki 900RS but noticed how much play there is on my 97 Valkyrie.
Thanks for pointing me to the product. Over 100K on my Valk and still love it as much as day one.

Thank you David. I've read so much in so many places that I'm getting saturated. I think. I saw a video somewhere or perhaps a post on the VRCC forum? But glad I could point out this small problem. 100K on a Valkyrie... I have 1/2 mile so far. Lol. If you can think of anything I should know, please reach out anytime. I appreciate your comment!

Heads up... the tach I bought from Pinwall was beautiful, however, the case in the back where the wires connect was broken. Badly. I had to jb weld it, but it came out fine. I doubt you'll be able to get into the speedo. It's crimped sealed. You have to cut the case.

What site did you the rear shocks from and the part number?

Hi Shep. Thanks for the comment and the Sub.
Here is a link to the shocks. www.ebay.com/itm/314001706775?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649
Yesterday I spent more time organizing the shop area and installing all new L.E.D. lighting over the lift table so the lighting will be very good for filming the work. Soon I will be ready to dig into this project in earnest. Warmest regards.

@@usethenoodle That link no longer works. I recently bought a '98 Standard with 51K, & am moving in the same direction as you & will be following your progress. Could you provide brand, model, etc of those shocks? Your videos have been helpful thus far in changing fluids. I've now discovered my fuel petcock needs rebuilt or replaced, so that's the next project on my list.

@@deecee2837 Hi. I’m changing my fuel petcock to a Pingle manual one. Just getting rid of the vacuum failure point. The shocks are Progressive Suspension. I have all my parts stored in a rented storage as my work space is limited to a single garage stall. But I’ll try to get down there and get the part number for you in a few days. I’ve been involved in another project recently unrelated to my videos. I hope to begin tearing down the Valkyrie very soon on video. Thanks for watching. I think you may be able to find a figment chart online at Progressine. But I’ll try to get you the number too. Warmest Regards, Craig

Haaaaaa. Ya. Well I haven't given up. But, I did move from my home of 31 years which if you have ever been in one place that long, it is let's say... a challenge. However, my new place has a beautiful separate shop. A big shop. That said, it is a big unfinished shop that had issues. I had to have it's 17 year old roofing replaced and the whole interior is unfinished as the person who built it is a wonderful guy but MAJOR PROCRASTINATOR going in 6 different directions all at once. In 17 years, he left it half done and filled it with junk. He has taken away the junk. So, I am in the process of finishing it. But, the house that came along with it had some issues along the same lines. Busy, busy on steroids. The Valk sits buried in the shop under my machines and boxes of hardware and tools. I need to build cabinets, work benches and add proper lighting, interior painting...on and on. The 20 foot ceilings inspired me to buy a used scissor lift in order to work up there. So the F6C beast sits awaiting the day I can again get with it. Thanks for commenting. I agree, from what I have seen so far, Honda could have done a lot better on some things. Still, it's a hell of a bike. Man... look at that engine!
