    Because you asked 😊 Corbin
    seats , steel braided brake lines , timing belt for piece of mind , find a set of stock exhaust pipes , then your long-distance rides will be much more enjoyable , safe travels.

    The thing on your throttle is called a throttle wing. It's so your can rest your wrist on it to hold your throttle. My brother added them on his Goldwing. Nice bike for the age 👍

      I have the same setup on mine, it really helps when it is cold and you need to losen your grip and get some blood back into your fingers. Much safer than cruise control.

    I just found this video... really strange, I am purchasing a Valkyrie to save miles on my Road King. I ride a lot and wanted to preserve the Harley. Plus, I like the looks and power-delivery of the Valkyrie. Both great bikes. I commute on mine too.

      Yes agree that is weird to buy a Valkyrie to save miles on a goofy road king. And it’s a VAL Kyrie, not Vul. Kyrie. I have a 98’ Valkyrie tourer model that I bought new, it’s always been a great bike. I love it. 😊🙏🏼💙🇺🇸.

    Mustang seat is a nice upgrade from the stock. I see a lot of ultima seats as well on Valkyrie. The only area I know that’s prone to leak is the shifter seal due to the longer shaft. I replaced the seal (easy and cheap), and installed the “shifter buddy” support device that a guy sells on facebook.

    I had a 97 Valk Standard. I added the Kuryakyn wide style levers and they are way more comfortable than stock. I also added the Kuyrakyn chrome transmission covers and WOW what a difference in appearance. The one downside was it acted like an ecco chamber while the starter was cranking and it gave it a tinny sound but only while cranking. I added the "Rumble Roads" amplified chrome speakers that mount on the handle bars and they were incredible. Most everything else was stock including the pipes. I know the 6 into 6's sound awesome but not for us as we mostly do long distance touring. One last thing I will definately recommend is a set of driving lights. I am a huge fan of "Clearwater Lights". They are based in California and manufacture high end LED lighting systems. I have owned two sets of them and they are incredibly powerful. They provide the ultimate in daytime riding protection so other drivers can see you in the haze and fogg of other traffic on the road. I truly believe they have saved my arss many times. Hope that helps!

    I'll second the 444s tames those hard bumps and uneven roads greatly, add an Ultimate seat and you'll soon have your preferred ride. Stock pegs have never have given me any problem.

    Keep those grips, the stock grips are horrible and make your hands fall asleep. The other stock thing that sucks is the headlight. Apparently the floorboards do not work well with the shifter and the engine. If you have tiny elf feet you may be able to do it. The stock seat for me is confortable for three hours or so, but absolutley those forward pegs wpuld be nice to have.

    I live on the Eastern shore of Maryland near Ocean City and the wife and I travel everywhere on our 99 Valkyrie touring. I put a manual cruise control and running lights and mine has the hard standard bags and the small luggage rack on the back! We do Oc bike week, Blue ridge Pkwy, skyline Dr with no problems of body fatigue and the wife never complained about the foot pegs. This year we are going to hillbilly hotdogs in West Virginia and going to explore Kentucky some. I think you will like how it rides and end up taking it on longer rides. Most of the maintenance is easy, I've rebuilt the carbs because of leaking ( TH-cam videos) and replaced the air filter because it is under the tank. I put new tires on myself and used balance beads and it never rode so well. There is a lot of extra stuff I would like to have but the budget (wife) doesn't allow that. Hopefully see ya out there somewhere, safe rides!

      Thank you for taking the time to watch our video, And thank you for the information about the Valkyrie, I'm sure the more I ride it I will gain confidence in the bike I have heard nothing but positive reviews on it , We do a lot of riding around in the Great Smoky Mountains and North Carolina and Virginia we make at least 2 or more trips to that area in the spring summer always on the Harley Road King, Maybe will take the Honda Valkyrie on one of the trips this year. Really looking forward to the riding season.. Thanks for watching and commenting very much appreciated 👍👍👍

    In 2015 I bought a '97 Tourer with about 41,000 miles from the second owner. The paperwork indicated a Honda shop had changed the timing belts at 6 years. I triked it and didn't put a lot of miles on it, but was concerned about the age, even though Honda says the belts are good for 100,000 miles. A friend who works on motorcycles and has riden Goldwings for years said not to worry about it, but the flat 6 is a no clearance engine, if a belt breaks and a cam stops with a valve in the open position and a piston makes contact it can be catastrophic. I had a mechanic, which I'm not, service it last year and checked the belts and tensioners and he said not to worry about it. New belts are cheap insurance.

      @JRBACZYK  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I was also concerned about the age of mine had my guy look at them and he said it was all good that the belts were in excellent shape. But I'm still a little worried lol I don't need a catastrophic failure, But I trust my guy , Thanks for watching and commenting very much appreciated 👍👍
