You got that right. The girl my husband dated before I treated him like crap. She would break up with him, then as soon as he started dating someone else she would suddenly realize she "Loved" him. I don't mean to make this like a fairytale, but after our first date, my husband and I knew we wanted to spend our lives together (only realized we felt the same way when we got engaged 2 years later). Well, for the first few months, this woman tried everything she had done in the past to get him back. When that didn't work she tried to claim I had an affair with him while they were together. But, that was easily proven wrong as I lived on the other side of the country until about 2 months after they broke up. In the end, she lost, the mutual friends she and my husband had cut her off, then she disappeared into the night, and my husband and I are about to celebrate our 30th.

I still have some issues about these people who date people, decide for whatever reason to break up, and then get upset if a family member, friend, co-worker or whatever stat dating this person they dumped. You ex happens to be a living breathing human being and not some doll to put on the shelf and keep in a collection of things that once meant something to you, but you don't want to play with anymore. You just don't want anyone else to play with them now either. As I think back to the people I dated that I broke up with, every one of them was not right for me, for whatever reason. Most of them were fine men, just not right for me. So how selfish and entitled would I have to be to think that just because I once dated them no other woman that I had any passing relationship with could ever date, fall in love with or marry the guy because ---he was my discard. So, if you, your ex, your cousin and your best friend are all going to the same schools, shopping in the same stores, going out to the same places, they might actually end up meeting or talking to an ex of yours. Time to grow up people. If a relationship doesn't end in engagement and marriage, the guy isn't your property. And conversely, if your marriages ends in divorce the only way any woman after you is a cheater is if she was sleeping with your spouse before you divorced. Once your divorced he is now a free man and goes back in the pond, where you have no further claim to him beyond what the courts and your divorce decree awards you legally.

I'm just a little confused how OP was able to lock Amy in the bathroom. The locks of every bathroom is inside the bathroom and you can lock and unlock the bathroom door only inside the bathroom. There is no way OP could have locked Amy inside the bathroom . Could it be possible that OP locked herself inside the bathroom and then called the police and I just got it wrong? When Amy asked to show the dress to her boyfriend, op could have replied that he would see it when everyone else did. When she retorted with "Don't you trust me?", op could have simply said no and had her removed from the dressing room. 2. If op's husband was really worried/prepared for Amy's nonsense, he would have had her recorded from the moment she arrived. Then anything she did could have been shown during the reception. Alternatively he could have had Any followed/recorded and had proof she ruined the first dress if op was dumb enough to let Amy have it. Again it could have been played during the reception showing everyone there her true colors. 3. As the one commentor said, op could have sent the bridial shower recording directly to the fiancee and family plus thier family. That would have spared the other family from being shamed. There's a small chance of the fiancee wanting revenge and stopping the wedding in the middle to show the tape and leaving her at the altar. I refuse to believe that anyone "rich" wouldn't have had security already set up. Let's face it, they would have needed it for insurance purposes. I'm just a little confused how OP was able to lock Amy in the bathroom. The locks of every bathroom is inside the bathroom and you can lock and unlock the bathroom door only inside the bathroom. There is no way OP could have locked Amy inside the bathroom . Could it be possible that OP locked herself inside the bathroom and then called the police and I just got it wrong? Pertaining to the wedding dress, how was Sam able to foresee that Amy would ruin OP's wedding dress and how was OP not know that there is a substitute wedding dress in case something happens to the original. Seems a little far fetched to me. While the story might be true, it is clear that the details were embellished.

I’m glad op is safe after Amy broke into her house, however I would have pressed charges for the mental anguish she put op thru. She probably would’ve been sent to a mental hospital instead of jail. 1. When Amy asked to show the dress to her boyfriend, op could have replied that he would see it when everyone else did. When she retorted with "Don't you trust me?", op could have simply said no and had her removed from the dressing room.
2. If op's husband was really worried/prepared for Amy's nonsense, he would have had her recorded from the moment she arrived. Then anything she did could have been shown during the reception. Alternatively he could have had Any followed/recorded and had proof she ruined the first dress if op was dumb enough to let Amy have it. Again it could have been played during the reception showing everyone there her true colors.
3. As the one commentor said, op could have sent the bridial shower recording directly to the fiancee and family plus thier family. That would have spared the other family from being shamed.
There's a small chance of the fiancee wanting revenge and stopping the wedding in the middle to show the tape and leaving her at the altar.
I refuse to believe that anyone "rich" wouldn't have had security already set up. Let's face it, they would have needed it for insurance purposes. Again if op and her husband didn't want to press charges, the insurance company could have, therefore easing family tensions.
