If I ever start wondering why I bought an NKT Sun Face, this is one of the videos I watch that reminds me... And then I think to myself, 'Thank God I bought one of these'... Definitely covers that particular niche as well as anything I've heard... But I also love my Throbak Fuzz Haze, which covers IT'S niche as well as anything I've ever heard (wider frequency response, cuts through better, more-flexible and stage/amp-friendly). The Sun Face definitely sounds more-vintage (in large part because of the more-limited frequency response and slightly-rolled-off highs), but the Fuzz Haze is comfortable in places where the Sun Face fears to tread. Both pedals are fantastic, and both respond like a Fuzz Face (including cleanup when you roll back the guitar volume). I couldn't sell one over the other.
Transient! Beautiful lush tones! Plus, I love the palm scratching, too. All the harmonics jumping out. Makes me feel like I'm in the Outback. (LoL) Keep on playing that Soulful stuff, sir! 🤘🏼 WoW! What a great video.

The Analog Man Sun Face that he's playing has n.o.s. British NKT275's (spec'd out for normal gain). This particular version is generally considered the king of germanium Fuzz Face reissue (at least as far as vintage-style, faithfully-reproduced ones are concerned). I don't think it's still available with these particular transistors, but I know he offers many different options for that.
@@gangtwanger249 This is the high gain version of the white dot nkt275. It was available a little longer than the normal gain version. Only difference was that they were tested, rated and matched with higher gain.
