Dear Bob and Brad, first of all thank you for your videos, they are incredibly helpful! Me myself I am a university student of 24y old and I've struggling a lot with neck and upper/middle back pain for the last 3 years since I took an injury on the construction site.
In all your videos regarding back/neck pain you guys really underline the importance of good posture, and as much as I try to pay attention as a student I often have to write a lot (especially during the examination periods) and having that bend over posture really sets my upper traps on fire and completely limits my neck mobility.
I was hoping that maybe you guys could make a short video in the near future where you guys explain good for writing, good stretches for inbetween breaks, and maybe even stretches to increase mobility for looking left/right over the shoulder.
I would be very grateful to you guys!
Kind regards,
Pelle
Bob and Brad, the two most famous ___ on the internet!
Got any exercizes that don't involve knees? I have this sharp pain in the back of my knee & thigh when I kneel or cross my legs.
Austiopenia ,still and has me worried ,so enjoy watching all you do all the information many prayers to you All 🙏
TY😊 I will do these exercises have always had a job and grandkids that lived here to keep me active but had a few accidents since my daughter and her family moved out ,was hot from behind was off work for 3 months then laid off , in my late 50's then tripped over some roots while hiking with my family and sprained both ankles, my shoes actually ripped absent me flying so had to stay down. then COVID hit and got more sedentary and it seems my left side is not as strong , so these should help build it back up TY 😊
Its great seeing these fellas caring about seniors. ..
So timely! I was just diagnosed with osteoporosis and don't want it to get worse. Thanks so much, guys.
You must get more protein intake in conjuction with weight bearing exercise
Love the new to-the-point format with Brad and Mike.
Thanks for the feedback!
Me too!
I loved Bob and Brad together and their fun approach, too.
Yes!!
I have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, so muscle loss really affects me. Because my joints don’t work properly my muscles have to hold my joints together. Thank you for this!
We hope this helped!
@@BobandBrad It really seems to be! Thank you again. I’ve passed your channel info on to others too🙂
Squats modification for really out of shape: lye on floor, one foot in theraband. Bend knee to 90, adjust theraband and push out to straighten leg. Keep knee in alignment as push and come in. Repeat 8 times. Change legs.
Thanks for sharing
Or lie on bed or couch (if firm)
Tit for tat! I'm turning 55 this month, and have lost lean muscle mass due to multiple abdominal surgeries; my BMI was as low as 13. I'm recovered enough to start rebuilding - thank you for all of the variations and ways to do things at home.
Our pleasure!
Hi Mike and Brad!! Hi Bob hiding in the background!! Definitely going to use some of these exercises tonight!! Thanks for sharing!! Y'all are amazing!! Toodles!!
Thanks, hope you enjoy them!
Thank you for this video. I just had my bone density scan. I've declined in the last 2 years. I now feel armed with something I can do to help to at least stay stable if not gain density in the next 2 years.
This is exactly what I've been looking for. Very grateful. Thank you!
dont worry about going slow worry about stopping - ancient chinese proverb

Thanks for showing these exercises, I do have some trouble with weak muscles and osteoporosis so I am definitely going to try these.
Hope you like them!
Good info for the older folks. On a side note i could've sworn if i closed my eyes i was listening to the late great Norm McDonald 😅
Haven't seen your channel in a while. Always like it.
This is useful.
I hope Bob is OK.
Thanks for watching!
Excellent video once again!
Thanks!
Love this! Thanks.
Thanks guys
Thanks guys, through illness I withered away to a bare bones skeleton. I fight the weakness, and tire easily. I'm trying!!!
🙏🙏🙏💚💚💚
You guys are great and fun to watch.
Thank you!
Thank you! Very helpful 👍🏻
Glad you liked it!
Many thanks for the reminder to do these top six! Thumbs up and a save, got to get to it!
Our pleasure!
Thanks for this video. My osteoporosis is in my spine. What exercises would be beneficial for that area?
Thank you🙏
These are great. I’ve saved this videos to add to my morning exercise routine. Thx guys ❤
Happy to be here!
Hi Bob, what can Rheumatoid Arthritis patients, who also have osteoporosis, do ? They can't do these exercises because of joint issues. Can they do anything else to increase muscle mass
These are not as easy as I thought. lol Thanks guys! I’m going to work on it.✨🌵✨💋
Yes good stuff im starting now
Everyday for 10days
Miss Bob but glad the channel is still going. Wish they jad a pictire of Bob on the wall.
I’m a good listener and I love to work and I hate to work out and I want to thank you for your help
No problem!
Besides exercise, seniors need to eat more PROTEIN 🥩🍗🥚🥓🍖to prevent muscle loss.
Vegetable protein
Yes. I use whey protein "shakes" daily. Also run and lift dumbbells.
You think protein can only be found in animal products??
@@kurtselleslagh7489 Nuts, legumes eg lentils (eg Indian Dahl), chickpeas/garbanzo beans, beans. Can use these to bulk out mincemeat/ground beef in meals eg Italian food.
Meat is best! Deal with it!
Great video guys! I can use this motivation.
Question what brand of shoe is Mike wearing? It was mentioned in a bunion video awhile ago but can’t find it.
Many thanks
I have seen comments from both people doing body building exercises and with other physical conditions., such as arthritis. In both cases, check with your own health team on whether these exercises are right for you.
Those of you at a high physical level should consider what happens if you injure yourself and need to restart with with lower intensity exercises.
For those with arthritis, this channel has plenty of videos on arthritis. And my PT has me doing some of these exercises at a lower level already. He tells me to go slow and steady, listen to my body, and think safety first. I have confirmed osteoarthritis in both hips and suspected arthritis in my shoulders, fingers & knees.
Thanks for sharing
Thank you. Just went from osteopenia to osteoporosis in spine.
On my way
You can also sit up in a chair and loop the bands around a door knob. Close the door, sit and pull with the arms.
Thanks for sharing!
Recently discovered your channel and love it, but I have a problem doing many of the exercises. As a result of a car accident, I can only bend my left leg 45 degrees at most. My feet were crushed and my right foot and ankle are held together with 9 pins/screws. My left has three plates and many screws. My feet and ankles just have very little flexibility so any exercise that bends the feet or ankles much doesn't work for me. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you for your work.
How do you modify for one bad knee. Thank you.
👏🏼😇👏🏼great information. Greetings from Central California 😇👍🏼
Thanks!
Thanks for showing these exercises i think very helpful from overall point of view. There is something more you can say about BMI and bone density as these could help in better health status
Thank you for watching!
Your all the highlight of my day. You two are a riot. 😂😂 "I forgot to let you talk". Plus teasing Bob too. butt in air maybe but ... Well, I could never do pushups & straight leg toe touches in school, so definitely not now, 😏 but the wall & table/counter works for me. 🤗 How "fast" should I walk?? Btw, I need your bookcase by the steps, goodies included. 🙂
If a person got knee problem that too severe and in a condition prone to knee replacement and is beyond 55 yrs can he, or can she do the squat exercises you and Mike are showing. Is it advisable?
Would you please demonstrate stretches to do after these exercises? I have trouble with pain management and if there is anything that can help with that I’d appreciate any guidance or a link to a video you’ve already done!
Lunges are a problem for me. I had hammer toe repair (tendons cut) years ago and a bunion (about 30*) The result is I cannot bend my toes enough to do a lunge. Is there a work around?
This that you had for arms was very good , what about something like that this with the tubers for the legs ? From Florida USA 🇺🇸🇺🇸
Hi. Do you have printable versions of these exercises so we can reference them when working out??
Would walking with a weighted vest or backpack with a load be helpful to prevent osteoporosis?
I like to do stair climbing that way.
I have a wrist oestioporosis n other bones r ok. Is there any risk to do the wall push up exercise where ur body is resting on ur hand plum n wrist?
I would like to do the lunges but my hamstrings are Tight and my range of motion is limited. What can I do?
Hi Bob,
How is your Ataxia? Any improvements?
If not you should look into possible treatment with Methylphenidate or Dexamfetamine.
I try to do squats but it feels like there's a hard rock under both knee caps.
I can lay on my back & bend my knees without pain under my knee caps.
Why?
I have RA. When I try to move more with light weights My arms shoulders. Neck pains for days. I simply cannot with the inflamed joints. I feel ver sad about this
Your shirts look great!
Thanks!
Ialways wish to follow these excersize but i have acute rheumatoid arthritis which i could hardly kneel nor do the movement as all joints are so painful 😢.
Can you do squats against wall or the refrigerator?
What bands are recommended? I’m a 63 year old female.
Do you have one for the neck?
I was just worrying about this today!
There you go!
I have lost muscle strength and find getting up from the floor very difficult. Any suggestions?
Thanks
Deb
The exercises they demonstrated here are very practical for this, especially the squat. This will help build muscle in your legs and glutes. Consistency is key ... follow their recommendation of 3 times a week and in 60 to 90 days you'll be amazed at your progress. If it's safe for you, also practice getting down on the floor and back up again. Stay strong ❤
So how are you measuring improvement in 4 weeks?
Sonce I suffered stroke 4 years ago, I have been done those routinly, almost everyday and go walk about 2 km a day. It seem work but the effect is too slow
Thank you for your video. How about do abductor/adductor machine weight; leg press seated 40lb; leg extension/leg curl 20 lb in sports club 3 days a week?
That would help!
@@BobandBrad Thank you very much for your respond
how cam i exercise when my one hand is not working
Wish you could somehow show how to do these in a gym on machines. Just started at gym and very intimidated by them.
Iron Mike❤️🔥
Nice shirts!
Thanks!
Matching shirts 😎
😀
Protein, stretches, push-ups and sit-ups. 🥩 💪
Thank you very much for watching and supporting us!! We wouldn't be able to do what we do if it wasn't for all of you guys!!
I like your black shoes where can I buy
I enjoy your cheery and helpful channel. In this video, what happened to the walking exercise? There’s no explanation- just skips straight to squats.
Isn't the word for "reverse loss" actually "gain" ?
Shouldn't you have a day of rest between sessions?
Would like to see B&B go through entire reps so I wouldn’t have to pause video to do them. Otherwise, great videos.
We'll keep that in mind!
I love that push up when where your arms are up over your head with hands on the wall. Difficult but great arm exercise and stomache because your tightening those muscles too too
About the squats: I go to CrossFit, which has lots of hip-centred movements including squats. The coaches there stress something that was absent from Mike’s instructions…very important to “lead with the butt”, ie 1st stick the butt out, THEN move into squat. Otherwise, you end up doing a knee dip.
I used to teach aerobics, I always used the analogy of squat as you would on a public toilet. Most people go down too far (bad for your knees) as you come up from the squat, squeeze your glutes (butt muscles)
Thanks for sharing
Yeah, I need this. Bone density is slip sliding away. Thanks, guys!
No problem!
Watt about arhritis.
What about planks?
It hurts my knees to do any squats.
Train bone stretch&compression lol
I like your shirts
I like Brad's shoes lolz
Thank you!
Where’s Bob!
Bob has been diagnosed with Ataxia and is working behind the scenes now!
Miss the videos with Liz and her husband
Liz still works for us, she does a lot of the uploading!
When I do squats, (one squat) that little bubble in the back of my knee pops out, so it makes it more difficult. Any remedy for that.
Here are a couple videos you can check out.

My 70 year old sedentary mother's ankle snapped from it . just standing one day.
How bout the Tushy Pushy.
5:11 good exercises for your audience who ask about getting up from the ground. And if they’re able to require better balance, they won’t need to be getting up from the ground so often.
Thanks!
Hey Guys! Make sure you use your "Ration Card" on them Reverse Muscle Loss exercises! We don't want you do look like Lou Ferigno and Hulk Hogan 😁
You just have to workout.
Do the full movement with the weight you can handle just like when you were younger.
Not "short stumpy movements" like some older guys who "used to be super strong" pushing the whole rack of weights for a distance of 1mm.
I'm in my upper 50's and still maintain about 75 to 90% strength(during my age peak) with certain muscle groups depending on how often I workout.
I may not hit each muscle 2x a week or split workout, but at least once a week.
The big deal with age is "recovery" for the joints, and building muscle balance for both sides of the movement.
Also, machines are the best because they control & restrain the movement and weight adjustment is quick change.
Just make sure seat and other adjustments are consistent.
