Some like 'em skinny, some like 'em thicc, some fall for that cute-girl shtick. Some really like the type that get an applause... but I like girls with fangs and claws (rawr)
music events at cons honestly sounds like the coolest thing to add. people love music and with how social furries are its kinda odd that its not more of a thing already. Not much into the dubstep/electronic type of music myself so I would like to see the more traditionally inclined furry musicians get more attention
Wow excellent video! You have lots of great points and ideas that other musicians need to listen to. The most popular musicians in our fandom (Bucktown Tiger, Matthew Ebel, Fox Amoore, Pepper Coyote (aka Look Left), NIIC, Rhubarb & Cosmik) are the ones that regularly play conventions.
( Nice Q the Winged Serpent vinyl back there, didn't even realize it had a soundtrack release) I think music on Furaffinity is a lost cause. Not only is it hidden down below on the front page, but having a thumbnail for a song really doesn't help sell the song. It's a tiny visual image trying to represent a few minutes of audio. I think you guys are right with videos and TH-cam being the way for furry musicians to get well known. Also, I wouldn't just restrict live performances to "furry" cons, comic, anime, other pop culture conventions often have space for musicians. If you can't get a slot, sneak in a guitar and perform in an open space or outside where the "chillout" areas are.
I just recently had the crazy idea of finally taking being a musician seriously, and this kinda helped push out that idea that I can do this! Since I can't draw or have money for fur suit I would love to contribute musically. So yea thanks for this video.
the founding member of Car Seat Headrest started his career posting music on FA and a lot of his early albums feature art by furry artists like Voln and Cate Wurtz as well as direct references to the fandom.
Ian Cleary Yeah, I feel like failing to mention Will Toledo/CSH in any conversation about furry musicians crossing over is a pretty glaring omission, particularly considering that his "dog motif," as he puts it in "Beach Life-in-Death", didn't exactly disappear with his transition to an actual label. Dude's a huge nerd and I love his work.
You know, it's weird: I'm a musician, and I'm pretty open about being a furry, but it never really occurred to me to cultivate any connection between the two. I mean, I'd rather not be written off as "a furry musician" in the way that sometimes happens, particularly seeing how those interests only very occasionally overlap with my music, but if it's a draw for people who might not otherwise discover my work, then why not?
I know i'm posting this kinda late but there is a song from skillet called not ganna die tonight that i thank would go good on the antro music video playlist ,,other then that i was thanking that the fandam might benafit from a kirk francklen stomp kinda mixture mentality like for the furries that were bullyed and all, sorry about my spelling
My sole contribution (so far) to Furry music was an instrumental solo on hurdy-gurdy at FurFright 2008 - my own composition. (You can find a video of it here, if you search). 7@=e
Sub Level 03 was a good band that the furry fandom embraced and they preformed at some furcons. I love their one song Elements of The Paw and their furry themed music video to the song. =^.^=
+Perri the Bear Only guitarists would understand, but I'll explain it to you anyway. The Line-6 Spider II is a practice amplifier that has terrible distortion settings, and tends to catch fire. Yet some still think that it is the "best amp ever" and "it's insane setting is amazing". Please, if you are going to make music with an electric guitar, don't use a Line-6.

We are not fandom, because we are subculture. Fandoms don't have own culture and ideology, but Furry subculture has. And most importand Furry is not just a fun, it's very serious social part of World. Without Furry the world could be more worst, evil place.
We talked about how to define "Furry" and how its structured and what it means to individuals in this episode: th-cam.com/video/j_r8V13B6Co/w-d-xo.html Thanks for your comment!

One tip for all musicians: DO NOT use a line 6. Just don't.

Well, I'm writing a fantasy story about my fursona and it uses orchestral music as a medium to tell the story and describe the feelings.
But I cant play my music myself, I cant play an entire orchestra myself :D
Ever tried using a MIDI program? Also, I recommend listening to John Williams for inspiration.

Omg I don't get the point of furries
+Sum Scruff We've been trying to figure that out for about 45 videos now.
Sum Scruff You should go watch them.
Just listen to the first 6 seconds of this video. That alone is a very good "point" to Furries.
