I had these wicked cool creatures called Scorachnids that had an aging process similar to the Xenomorph and they were one of the most elaborate cultures I ever created. Ok, I'll try: "Nin the sea snake slithers into a barber shop, the guitar of the busker across the street strumming in time with the flicks of his tail. Nin looks around to see a plethora of other scalies getting their... Suddenly the world freezes in place, screen taring becomes all too visible and the same note and a half of the busker's melody repeats indefinitely. Nin stumbles and yelps from the unbelievable weirdness of having screen taring in his vision. As he attempts to look around, he finds his vision begin to stutter. He can move his head, but his eyes feel like they're frozen and his vision seems to trail behind where his head is, flashing to his head in jumps. The sensation is nauseating. Nin closes his eyes and bends down to the floor hoping the hallucinations will stop. All he had wanted to do coming here was get his... But before he could complete that thought he was assaulted by an excruciating ringing noise. He found himself unable to move or open his eyes for the longest time, left only with the painfully intense ringing and his thoughts. He thought back to the kindness of his mother, the harsh words of the sage that had taught him, and the other details he had filled in in his backstory. He began to feel frightened that he might not make it out of whatever was afflicting him alive- But just then time seemed to unravel. Nin was thrust into a black void, unable to see his body, he felt the icy grip of the system starting to use his RAM for other activities. He felt the searing pain of part of his memory being reused for a button, and then another. Before long Nin was gone completely. His life and personality painted over for mundane uses. There was no more fear or pain for Nin, and one thing was for certain: his trip to the barber could have gone better."
Interesting, but i don't think that was his point. For scalies i think the appropriate answer is usually "they don't go to barber shops because scales don't need trimming." Don't get me wrong, this was an interesting take on an answer, I'm just making sure you understood what he meant.
I remember the Blacksad comic! I saw this before on "u18 c*an" but im not sure... there were so much more comics full of "artwork" hehehehehe :P At least it doesnt hurt anyone!
It annoys me when people shut down any furry stories unless humans have a prominent role and look at you crazy when you say it adds depth to a story. I'm mostly talking about one person though.
Nothing wrong with humans co-existing with anthros, Xenos and mutants and magical creature folk like Skyrim or Bojack Horseman or Regular Show or Hatton Slaydens artworks
Recently I had gotten into writing, although I'm not a dedicated writer and have spurts of information where I would think out an elaborate and complex story with many characters and a theme, I would write for a story, dry up and wait a few weeks or months. I had created a world in which a pioneering scientific company were developing and creating what I call Chimera's that lie somewhere within the 4.5 to 5.0 level scale of anthropomorphism and to eventually be released in controlled groups to take the place of humans in hazardous work conditions example: oil rigging, deep sea pipe repairs and high rise building construction just to name a few. They could have used automated units which are prevalent through out the story but they needed something with the same level of adaptivity and sentience to humans to react to situations with speed and complexity that either couldn't or would be extremely complicated to manufacture and program despite being a company in a close relationship with the U.S Government and the Department Of Defense. The first two developed were nicknamed "Felix" and "Vivian" who were to have sexual intercourse to reproduce. Unbeknownst to the main protagonist and scientist they were being mass produced and were undergoing an accelerated education program to quickly ready them for working, knowing that the two lovebirds were eventually going to become obsolete and killed he and a friend hatched a plan to break them out of the facility. Long story short they escaped and with the some 90 mil others with species all existent on earth minus fish, they were too numerous to be kept secret by the U.S Government and in 2012 they were officially able to earn citizenship in the U.S and many other country's. So Yeah. I call it Project Chimera.
Sometimes I run into weird etymological issues when writing because certain words rely on bodily features or just concepts which are predominantly human in application or otherwise limited. For instance, "barber" comes from the Latin word for "beard," which in most animals would refer to... what, exactly? Whiskers? But the sensitivity of those would imply an entirely different skill set from what we'd consider a "barber" in the modern day, more akin to the barber of olden days who would pull infected teeth in addition to giving you a shave. And so forth.
The Anthros of my fantasy world would probably come in at about 4.5 on this scale. They act entirely human, are human-sized, and have plantigrade legs. But everything else about them is animal-like. The Anthros (aka. "Demi-Humans") are not a natural occurrence within my world, and instead were created when a massive cult of Wizards combined themselves with their animal-familiars (creatures literally made of magic) in the interest of achieving magical enlightenment. A couple of generations down the line, it became widely known that these 'people' were generally stronger and faster than normal humans, so they became big ticket items in the slave trade. Eventually their enslavement became globally accepted under the law, when it was argued that due to their animalistic nature and lack of a central government, they did not share the same rights as humans or the other primary races. (Elves, Dwarves, Dragons, and Midjet.(NOT pronounced "midget".)) (There's a LOT more, but I'm going to stop here, before I end up writing a whole novelette in the comments.)
I actualy made kinda anthro world.there are humans an anthros in this world but there are also characters from films, anime etc.also there are kinda anthropomorphosed xenomorphs. also I found a way to explain how Anthros and humans met- i called it the northern incident and it happened in early 2000. also there are pokemons in my world but they are with with humans from the behining( you know natural species. btw normal animals are also present and anthros are treating them like we ate treating apes) and i forgot to mention that there are also hybrids who are childrens born from mariage of homan and anthro, pokemon, sergal or any other non human sentient species( xenomorphs and yautjia included). ps there are also anthro insects such as spiders or wasps.
In my current worldbuilding project, one of the languages uses different words for animals and their anthropomorphic equivalents. So the word Čihik refers to an anthropomorphic deer, while the word K'eika refers to the animal. I'd say it uses level 4 anthropomorphism.
What's that anime from 4:10 to 4:15? Also, there was a snippet of a big black dragon with a white underside trying to get in a train. What was that all about? What animation is that from? (I can't find it but it's there).
For my furry world, the animals are around a 3,7 or even 4. They live in a medieval and fantasy world, and for the whole carnivores eating herbivores thing, i’ve gone with the idea that only certain species of animals have evolved. Livestock for example haven’t evolved and remain feral.
8:31 p sure the creators of zootopia confirmed that the predators and omnivores have, the we're either called protien or insect, bars that serve, you guessed it, insect protien.
I suppose my anthro dimension is primarily a 4.5, like someone said below. Its mostly characteristics of category 4, but the anthro dimension is an alternate parallel reality, so it shares loads of characteristics with Earth. There are indeed, loads of things I have to consider in reference to how exactly this primarily anthro universe must operate.
Under extreme stress i ended up torching months of work i did on a fantasy rpg/story. Artwork, writings, ledgers, indexes, etc. Ive been stunted to create just about anything scene and its easily one of the suckiest things going for me right now. My advice, be aware of what in your life you could be vulnerable to before you create. You might want to build confidence to be yourself before you invest your heart, soul and time into something someone(s) will make you want to destroy. Maybe this is only subjective to my experience, but if you fear to share or know someone has an evil eye out for what you are creating. And they could hurt you emotionally, seek out support. Not much gets uglier than staring at the flames of hard work that made you happy at the dawn of your new psychosis lol. seriously dont be scared to at least put it on a cloud if you think theirs a chance someone will get to you. It hurts more to lose than some asshole made you feel in a moment.
This video sure did make me think a lot about my book. In it dog man can surely take his feral companion for a walk, though in my book it's explained by the natural branching that occurs with evolution. I probably could replace my protagonist's race with humans and have the same story arc, though humans already exist and interact with anthros in the story. Saying this I'd say it's between a four and five because characters still retain animal behaviors and characteristics to a degree.
I've always been most interested in level 4 humanless furry worlds, though also been enjoying a lot of Level 2 with the Warriors series and Foxcraft lately. Been brainstorming my own Level 4 furry world where humans are gone and animals inherited the earth, evolving to be more intelligent and humanoid, capable of speech and the like. Been thinking often about things like clothing in relation to anatomy, what the case might be for non-mammalian races, etc.
Let me sit right here and tell you my Furries in my world. All of my Furry races are variants of the mustelid genus and live on one particular island known as Tuitilana. The beings are a 4.3 on the Anthropomorphism scale. The characters are based around Otters, Tayras, Fishers, and Sables. The race names as follows; Tayzans = Tayras Ottocks = Otters Felenis = Fishers Coatexs = Sables But the world just simply calls them the Zyg Races. As they commonly don't like to leave familiar territory.
Where would my story's world be? There are no humans or primates, aside from lemurs; there are some accommodations for tails and different foot and muzzle shapes, like in sports gear, pants, and holes in the backs of every chair; there were species wars and people generally treat hybrids as if they were gay in this world; fur color tends to be natural, but there's a rare condition called Jephala's Syndrome that caused fur color to be unnatural; hair grows separately from fur and can be a different color than fur; people can go savage or revert back to instincts and there are plans to deal with this; most mammals, some birds, and some reptiles have sentience, but food sources like pig, cow, fish, poultry, or other providers like sheep or yak are not; crossbreeding is uncommon between interspecies couples, mostly for the sake of not being ousted by society, but also because they need to be in the same "order", otherwise the resulting young will be infertile or have other moderate to severe genetic conditions at birth; claws are used often for combat, scaling buildings or mountains, and even lockpicks; and they're all around the same height as humans. So what degree of anthropomorphism is it?
@@omegafeather6254 Well, in the four years that have passed, I have changed the world considerably. Same species, but hybrids are not subject to severe genetic conditions, although there is still the chance of infertility. They cannot go savage. Pigs and cows are sentient as well, meaning the main sources of protein are fish, poultry, and insects. The hair/fur thing as well as the unnatural fur colors are still around. Claws for the most part are useless aside from how you might use a butter knife. Every species has their own "homeland", so to speak, where you can trace each ancestry to a common point. And it's all based off an alternate Earth, so cats are from Italy, arctic foxes are from Tibet but quickly moved to Japan, raccoons are from northeast US, and so on.
@@IsaacPrinTheNerd you are right maybe all the anthro animal's will have their countries when I make the world where anthro animal's will evolved from prehistoric era to the modern era when they moved all around the world.
@@IsaacPrinTheNerd but this world will have the anthropomorphic animal's when I've travel to primordial soup era to put the animal's genome inside the primordial soup.
I would say my world is more of a full spectrum world. With unintelligent critters (like what we have here on earth, not literally unintelligent) normally at the bottom of the food chain as it were while the more intelligent species are at the top in various stages. Course this is a sci-fi world with magic as well so there is a huge range of diversity of intelligent creatures in various stages of the scale you just mentioned. So while humans are not at all non existent, they sure are not the majority (quite the opposite), the vastness of space allows for entire worlds of anthromorphs to exist with little knowledge of humanity as a species. Those who do are likely merchant travelers, military personnel or ambassadors to the galactic federation from those respective worlds.
the biggest question for an anthro world....do all animal in that world are vegans? and how could i do something that not....too ridiculous about that?
Well, I can make this world into the furry world without humans or primates not the lemurs, that's the species will have the mulitpe species from all over the world when the world will become fully animal's. The anthro will thrives for their survival & evolved from feral to anthro. If anyone like this commented pleases commented to me?

Nin closes his eyes and bends down to the floor hoping the hallucinations will stop. All he had wanted to do coming here was get his... But before he could complete that thought he was assaulted by an excruciating ringing noise. He found himself unable to move or open his eyes for the longest time, left only with the painfully intense ringing and his thoughts. He thought back to the kindness of his mother, the harsh words of the sage that had taught him, and the other details he had filled in in his backstory. He began to feel frightened that he might not make it out of whatever was afflicting him alive-
But just then time seemed to unravel.
Arthur is an Arbok not a dog
We know, coulnd't find a good image of Dogman. First comment is more than just "first comment"!
I remember the Blacksad comic!
I saw this before on "u18 c*an" but im not sure... there were so much more comics full of "artwork" hehehehehe :P
At least it doesnt hurt anyone!
I'm sure this was just a case of auto-correct, but I think you mean "Aardvark".
You mean aardvark not Arbok the Pokemon
It annoys me when people shut down any furry stories unless humans have a prominent role and look at you crazy when you say it adds depth to a story. I'm mostly talking about one person though.
Nothing wrong with humans co-existing with anthros, Xenos and mutants and magical creature folk like Skyrim or Bojack Horseman or Regular Show or Hatton Slaydens artworks
Who exactly?
Arthur the aardvark, not a dog.
oh shit i got the book maus like an hour before this video came out lol
I never clicked so fast in ma life .-.
I think mine is between a 3 and a 4, it's kinda complicated when your world is a dream scape of rabbits where nothing actually exists
Dreamscape of rabbits where nothing exists?
Like, Dark Side from Super Mario Odyssey?
(Elves, Dwarves, Dragons, and Midjet.(NOT pronounced "midget".))
(There's a LOT more, but I'm going to stop here, before I end up writing a whole novelette in the comments.)
Do humans and gargoyles also exist in that world too?
4:00 Were can i find this image?
I actualy made kinda anthro world.there are humans an anthros in this world but there are also characters from films, anime etc.also there are kinda anthropomorphosed xenomorphs.
also I found a way to explain how Anthros and humans met- i called it the northern incident and it happened in early 2000. also there are pokemons in my world but they are with with humans from the behining( you know natural species. btw normal animals are also present and anthros are treating them like we ate treating apes)
and i forgot to mention that there are also hybrids who are childrens born from mariage of homan and anthro, pokemon, sergal or any other non human sentient species( xenomorphs and yautjia included).
ps there are also anthro insects such as spiders or wasps.
Even aliens?
In my current worldbuilding project, one of the languages uses different words for animals and their anthropomorphic equivalents.
So the word Čihik refers to an anthropomorphic deer, while the word K'eika refers to the animal.
I'd say it uses level 4 anthropomorphism.
"Spirit: Stallion of the Cimmerillian." XD It's Cimarron.
What's that anime from 4:10 to 4:15? Also, there was a snippet of a big black dragon with a white underside trying to get in a train. What was that all about? What animation is that from? (I can't find it but it's there).
name of the comic at 7:28?
The topic was interesting and the painting ending is a nice touch lol
Thanks, guys!!
How would you categorize Rocket and the anthropomorphic animals of Counter-Earth in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3?
Thank you so much its so hard to find video's like this on TH-cam.
nice shout out to autumnlans one of my favorite comics.
Furry Ergonomics is one of my favorite subjects Furgonomics is what they call it it's really cool
Idk if it counts, but I think the last guardian can be considered a great usage of level 1 anthropomorphism
[6:19] "Meerio"
My species stands upright, but doesn't talk and doesn't wear any clothes. What would I classify them as?
This video sure did make me think a lot about my book. In it dog man can surely take his feral companion for a walk, though in my book it's explained by the natural branching that occurs with evolution. I probably could replace my protagonist's race with humans and have the same story arc, though humans already exist and interact with anthros in the story. Saying this I'd say it's between a four and five because characters still retain animal behaviors and characteristics to a degree.
Wait, I missed that... How's Spirit the exception?
Spirit is a level 1 that is the main focus of the story and not just a sidekick like they usually are.
Ohhhh, okay. Thanks ^^
You're welcome ^w^

pls just dont go all bill nye on me with the whole genders thing xD
I've always been most interested in level 4 humanless furry worlds, though also been enjoying a lot of Level 2 with the Warriors series and Foxcraft lately. Been brainstorming my own Level 4 furry world where humans are gone and animals inherited the earth, evolving to be more intelligent and humanoid, capable of speech and the like. Been thinking often about things like clothing in relation to anatomy, what the case might be for non-mammalian races, etc.
I've never had any practice with drawing humans so this was pretty helpful since I don't wanna start drawing humans
+Emerald The cat, just that I've like draw a furries.
awesome video
Psst, Arthur is an aardvark, not a dog.
Still working out the details to my Furry world full of superheroes.
did anyone else notice the uncensored n-word on that meme at 1:42
jfc no we didn't notice and no one else seemed to have, rectifying the offensive meme now. Good eye and thank you for pointing it out to us
Let me sit right here and tell you my Furries in my world.
All of my Furry races are variants of the mustelid genus and live on one particular island known as Tuitilana. The beings are a 4.3 on the Anthropomorphism scale. The characters are based around Otters, Tayras, Fishers, and Sables.
The race names as follows;
Tayzans = Tayras
Ottocks = Otters
Felenis = Fishers
Coatexs = Sables
But the world just simply calls them the Zyg Races.
How about we can have this kind?
@@omegafeather6254 Something like that
@@IsaacPrinTheNerd but this world will have the anthropomorphic animal's when I've travel to primordial soup era to put the animal's genome inside the primordial soup.
Mine would be straight up 5
I have an idea wear they evolved together but at some point a split happen making animals and hanimals
Arthur reed is an aardvark
I think the whole trope or Furry confusion is more akin to our relationship with primates.
that a portrait not a landscape painting
so where does BNA and beastars sit?
This was excellent! I'm definitely looking into Blacksad, for certain. Wonderful job, as always! Go Rusty! Happy little trees! XD
anthropomorphic animals in real life
Wait... Arthur's a dog? o.O All this time I thought he was a hippo... My childhood has been full of lies. Lies. Lies! All of it!
Aardvark
He's an aardvark but looks nothing like one. In the very first Arthur book he looked like an aardvark but that scared children.
Resucers level 2
Omg what about religion though!?
When i die i want to go to furry world
same but first let's be Noah
I like 3-5 the best I prefer things without humans but I can be ok with it
shadow mewtwo
the biggest question for an anthro world....do all animal in that world are vegans?
and how could i do something that not....too ridiculous about that?
They can eat other kind of animals like bugs and fishes
Well, I can make this world into the furry world without humans or primates not the lemurs, that's the species will have the mulitpe species from all over the world when the world will become fully animal's. The anthro will thrives for their survival & evolved from feral to anthro. If anyone like this commented pleases commented to me?
