    These were fun crossovers. And I found Aberguine's channel thru this crossover, so bonus!
    It does seem that media coverage of furries is getting more realistic/positive as time goes on. The Serbian refugee thing was great, the con educated its members well, and the 'suiters did a great job at showing the refugees (and the world) the best side of furry, and even more important, gave these folk some much needed positive vibes and fun, and helped the kids to relax and smile. Fantastic! These kind of things help us all. Keep on hunting down the good and the bad and thanks for keeping us informed! Good job!

    6:43 - It didn't reach the media, but that happened in Toronto, too. (Islington Furmeet #22, February 13th at International Plaza Hotel) The kids loved the fursuits, (typical), their parents were okay with it, everything was cool.

      Yeah, MFM did something similar during one of the hurricanes. Whole families were moved into the hotel to have a place to stay, pets and all, and everyone just rolled with it.

    Awesome! Wonderful idea for the cross-over, and nicely done all around!
    And much as I posted elsewhere, the positive occurences and events seem to far outweigh the negative portrayals of the furry community. It may feel like an uphill battle, but it's one that we're winning!

    I love how much research and time she puts in her videos. She is like the guardian of the furry fandom and I love that because I feel like she's fighting back twords furry hate. I say this because I feel like the fandom is really becoming a punching bag for alot of hate and it should STOP because ALL fandoms have a kinky or sexual side and sometimes you should just deal with it because its gonna be there no matter how much you want it to not be. This also does not just count for the furry fandom every fandom should be a place to Express yourself in a way you like as long as your being respectful to others around you and not hurting them

    4:40 What's a etherion? (I'm not sure if that's what she said or if it's spelled right.)

    • @Wolfrover

      Therian, I think. Think of it as a "spiritual furry". Where a furry fan is typified by enjoyment of anthropomorphic characters, a therian is typified by a spiritual connection to such characters. There is some overlap, of course, as seen with Furry Lifestylers (if they're still a thing) and parts of the werewolf fandom. To put in Venn Diagram perspective:
      Not all Furries are Therians. Most furries do not feel a spiritual connection to their fursona of the type that Therians describe.
      Not all Therians are Furries. Just because someone has a spiritual connection to one specific species does not guarantee a wider attraction to or enjoyment of anthropomorphic characters.
      HOWEVER: There is some overlap between the two groups.

      @@Wolfrover Hey this was posted a while ago. You were in the right track but not quite there. Not trying to be mean in an way at all. Turns out Therians don't identify as their fursona's because they don't have any. Rather they feel a spiritual connection to an animal based in the characteristics their society/ culture assisted it. Therians are a like a water down version of otherkins.

    • @Wolfrover
      @Wolfrover 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ClownHoundII Thank you for the clarification. The lines are a little blurry for me, since I'm both a furry and part of the werewolf fandom, which had some crossover with therianism back in the day.

    • @ClownHoundII
      @ClownHoundII 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Wolfrover Happy to help. I actually know a girl whom is a Therian. She personally finds furries make no sense they create a character based on an animal and don't feel a spiritual connection to the species/character they created and thus kinda pointless. Also she said us weird when she identifies with a mountain lion because they're "brave".

    I don't mind if the media is parody humor, such as American Dad probably is(not sure, I don't watch it) or in the case of saints row. But in the case of non-comedies, such as CSI where any comedy is in character downtime(IE, before the episodes plot point is revealed) there's no saving grace for it.

    5:09 though, is not really a furry, it's a zoo owner training his employees in the event of an escaped animal, I saw that story.... I could be remembering it wrong, but I don't remember them ever saying that he was a furry, he just thought it would be fun and make him stand out to dress like one of the zoo animals for this drill.

    I know that Aberguine records her lines separately, but the gesticulation and the speaking felt a bit... off. Like maybe the audio and video were just a bit out of sync somehow. I felt this especially when the gestures would hang in the air for a bit or would carry through too long for a second after she kept speaking.

    Well in serious business, another way to furryxplotation is using the Fandom for make videos on youtube for show us as something CRINGE, because some youtubers have too many followers that we can considering them as mass media.

    • @wildbilltexas
      @wildbilltexas 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It wasn't perfect (a lot of talking and not much action) but it was a good attempt to try serious acting in fursuits.

    • @catseye10000
      @catseye10000 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      ***** the acting was stiff and the action was slow paced boring, 0 out of 10

    • @wildbilltexas
      @wildbilltexas 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It was better than a 0, the cinematography was beautiful. The acting was stiff because it's so hard to be expressive and emotive in fursuits, but they gave it a good try. I agree the pacing was slow with a lot of standing and talking trying to set everything up before the action scenes near the end.

    • @catseye10000

      ***** I wasn't talking about being expressive int he fursuit I was talking about there voice acting, it was just horible
