even if you are on diet I think you should be able to eat what you want, diets that makes you feel forbidden from doing things are the less effective ones, also, cooking reduces the appetite (for your brain feels like it is eating when you are preparing the plate), eating in little portions can also be a way to keep your diet, and you can always replace the ingredients that are too fattening (like the cheese or the sauce) by something else (put vegetables and spices or less cheese etc.) anyways, as I am also on a diet I hope the best for you all :)
I'm pretty sure you can throw in some parmesan, garlic, or caramelized onions , oregano, even spinach and make delicious variations of this same recipe. It looks cool for a night cooking with friends and drinking some beers. Love this! Thank you!
#Artica88 I think the Carmelised onions are enough to add, but be careful otherwise it won't balance as well as you'd like. It's to do with the Cheese and its interaction with the onions which contain water.

@@Jonz23 I am no culinary expert by any means, however I think the reason it calls for bread/strong flower is because of the slightly rougher and coarser grain of it. I have personally never used wheat flour, nor am I familiar with its consistency, all though I'm sure that as long as it is no finer or lighter than plain All-Purpose flour you should be good to go. Just remember if it gets too sticky you can hardly ever add too much flower afterwards, good luck!

Just made this tonight. Turned out absolutely fantastic! My wrapping technique was not perfect so the bottom surface didn't end up looking quite as nice as this one, but it sealed and cooked great! Next time I want to try adding bacon bits and green onion, and substituting the mayo with sour cream to lean into the "loaded baked potato" flavor!
I just made this and I must say that it's really delicious and much easier to make than it looks (and it looks fairly easy). You will however need more flour- start with suggested 90g but add more as needed. I used strong wholemeal bread flour and I felt that I needed more. Also, maple syrup is surprisingly good with this (if you have that but not honey). But it's good on its own too. Overall, I definitely recommend making this
Can you let me know abt the potato you used? I tried using a russet medium size (abt 180g), then a smaller sized one (abt 145g) and both were too much compared to what's shown in the video.
@@em5522 I used so called "Baking potatoes" and they're about 220g, but I didn't feel like it was too much, personally. You can probably try smaller varieties or only cook and mash half of a potato

This actually reminds me of a traditional “bread” we eat here in Emilia Romagna (Italy) its called crescione and piadina, the dough is made in the same way but we usually put a pinch of baking powder and instead of butter we use pork fat and it depends on the city we add also honey sometimes. The difference between crescione and piadina is that crescione is usually filled with everything you want to put inside and piadina is basically used as bread and we eat it with everything we want to, but the classic (and most traditional) combination is Parma ham and squaquerone (a traditional creamy cheese)

Use: All-Purpose Flour and Cornstarch To get the right ratio, measure out 1 cup of flour, then remove 2 tablespoons. Add 2 tablespoons of cornstarch and sift together several times to ensure it's well mixed. Repeat this process for as many cups as you need, or to make a large batch and save for later use. Repita este proceso para tantas tazas como necesite, o para hacer un lote grande y guardar para usar más tarde.

Which grains are they typically from and how are they used? Which pitfalls should one avoid regarding when one can substitute one for the other etc? Also, since self-raising flower is not a thing here - what would be the approximate ratio of yeast to flower, when using in stead of self-raising flower?

I made this and it turned out delicious! I added hot sauce, ketchup, mustard and Italian seasonings to the potatoes, and used parmesan shredded cheese. However, the dough needed more than 90g flour (I just used all-purpose) in order to mix properly. The taste was delicious, but in the frying pan, I had to cut it up and break it apart into not very tasty looking clumps. Like I said, it came out great, but very chewy in my opinion. 7-8/10 because while it was a great recipe it was not quick and easy for all of you looking for fast and convenient foods, also bc of how it was broken apart.
Slow fry up some thinly sliced onions, till crispy. Add some sliced and chopped tomato between the cheese layers (and less cheese since the tomato will make the mixture wetter, or use sundried). Fry some spinach or similar dark green leafy veg, strain the excess water (and save for soup/stock). And now I'm hungry.
just finished making this, SOOO good! 10/10 i recommend you guys season it though, this is a good base. i added cajun seasoning, nutritional yeast, red pepper flakes and a salt (more than a pinch for SURE). i added this seasoning to both the dough and the potato mix, so you get flavor throughout the whole thing. thank you for this keeper of a recipe! 💕
Honestly perfect, I didn’t have bread flour so I used all purpose, but it worked well. You have to make sure the dough isn’t sticky or else it might be prone to ripping and stuff. I suggest you add garlic or something to enhance the taste 😌 but it was good. Also salted butter is fine, and it rolled out fine, it only tore a little at the bottom (crinkled part) during frying it, so make sure it is as covered as you can get it, no rips or openings ! It was so yummy.
Delicious! I tried it today. The dough at first was kinda sticky but then I added some flour and it was PERFECT! Also you can leave it to rest for less than an hour. It is equally delicious. I would recommend!
I've already said this, and it's a very risky thing to say. Imagine you are on an island, and there is another island over there. And you want to conquer it. And they are ruled by a strong leader. "Oh but they are disciplined, and they obey their leader. It's impossible to defeat them." Ah, then we will impose democracy on them. Democratic propaganda! We will promote the most democratic way. "Oh, but they have nationalism! They will sacrifice themselves to protect their land." Ah, we will spread globalist ideology. Remove all notions of nationalism and patriotism, promote these ideas as evil. Turn them against each other so they will hate their own country and race. "Oh, but they also have incredible faith in God! They have such faith in God that they never abandon the front." Ah, then let's promote atheism and hedonism. Church time is over. From now on, only night clubs and pornography. They must be open about sex. "Oh, but the youth are healthy and strong. They're in formidable shape. They are the way the Creator made them: in his image." Ok then, from now on McDonald's, Coca-Cola, drugs, alcohol, video games. Let them be fat, lazy, weak, domesticated, undisciplined. We must abolish military service. "Ah... yeah but the other thing is that they are homogenous. They are a single people, a single race. There is no ethnic chaos." Ok, then in whatever way, we must send them boats with foreigners - whites, blacks, Asians, Muslims, Chinese. "But they have a lot of babies! 6 or 7 babies on average! They're happy to have large families!" Ok, from now on promote abortion, birth control pills. They must be individualistic and reject starting a family. You have now defeated that island without firing a single bullet.

The struggle when you're on a diet and your recommendations are full of videos about foods 😭😂
thats…. sad but depending on the diet you could add a little more potato, less cheese and maybe some vegetables or meat if you eat it
Same, I honestly am gonna give up on my diet at this rate.
And full of carbs, but it look yummy, just enjoy the food once for a while its not bad, don't feel bad😀
even if you are on diet I think you should be able to eat what you want, diets that makes you feel forbidden from doing things are the less effective ones, also, cooking reduces the appetite (for your brain feels like it is eating when you are preparing the plate), eating in little portions can also be a way to keep your diet, and you can always replace the ingredients that are too fattening (like the cheese or the sauce) by something else (put vegetables and spices or less cheese etc.) anyways, as I am also on a diet I hope the best for you all :)
This is exactly what I think 🤣🤣🤣
I'm pretty sure you can throw in some parmesan, garlic, or caramelized onions , oregano, even spinach and make delicious variations of this same recipe. It looks cool for a night cooking with friends and drinking some beers. Love this! Thank you!
Imagine if we fry a bacon on the pan first, put the bacon with the mussarela, and then use the same pan to the dough, maybe it would be good as well!
Don't forget about a glass of icy cold vodka before eating this yummy.
#Artica88 I think the Carmelised onions are enough to add, but be careful otherwise it won't balance as well as you'd like. It's to do with the Cheese and its interaction with the onions which contain water.
@@azothlore7838 No, as the Bacon fat might go off the minute it meets the other Ingredients. Cheese, use a different type, a hard one. One that doesn't have the same amount of fat. Science is your friend,. Add too many and you change the nature of the dish, how it cooks, how it cuts, how long it lasts,. If you eat it right away maybe.

Can we use wheat flour for this?
@@Jonz23 I am no culinary expert by any means, however I think the reason it calls for bread/strong flower is because of the slightly rougher and coarser grain of it. I have personally never used wheat flour, nor am I familiar with its consistency, all though I'm sure that as long as it is no finer or lighter than plain All-Purpose flour you should be good to go. Just remember if it gets too sticky you can hardly ever add too much flower afterwards, good luck!

I just made this and I must say that it's really delicious and much easier to make than it looks (and it looks fairly easy). You will however need more flour- start with suggested 90g but add more as needed. I used strong wholemeal bread flour and I felt that I needed more.

How to make bread flour with cornstarch?
Use: All-Purpose Flour and Cornstarch
To get the right ratio, measure out 1 cup of flour, then remove 2 tablespoons. Add 2 tablespoons of cornstarch and sift together several times to ensure it's well mixed. Repeat this process for as many cups as you need, or to make a large batch and save for later use.
