Tortilla Talk Question: Hey Colleen! I'm super curious how Erik is managing his job as an actor with being a dad to new babies. Does he/did have paternity leave? Is he between roles? On the newest episode they had him on video chat at a conference. I feel like it’ll probably be his end for a while on the show. I hope not though, just what I assume after the episode!

Hi Colleen! Regarding the beginning where you mentioned Chris: My aunt would break into hives lots a while back (she still does). After no answers from doctors, she went to a holistic doctor and they had found that she is reactive to mold. So literally a living mold detector. Mold could be in the walls or literally in places that are not visible. Hopefully they find a solution soon, but this situation does sound similar. I love u girly!
This is also a really common sign for the beginning of an autoimmune disease 😔
@@alyssa9103 She ended up having lyme disease as well. She takes many supplements and had to switch her way of eating to change the health pattern. She is doing great though.

What specifically made this experience so excellent compared to the care you received with Flynn or just in general in the past? Watching this vlog tonight felt like a warm hug. I've been going through some weird stuff with my mom- stuff I've been dealing with in therapy for years and years but it finally culminated in me confronting my mom about the abuse I experienced during my childhood. It........ did not go well. So I've felt really low the past week and today especially. But seeing what a great mother you are to your kids makes me so happy. They're really lucky to have you as a mom, Colleen. Sending love ❤
Sometimes a confrontation not going well is part of the healing. I always say, freedom for u is always freedom for the other person too, even if they react negatively or dont realize it at first. Hope that makes some sense. Proud of u for living ur truth ❤️

I've seen a lot of the "pinteresty instagram moms" put tights on their babies when putting them in those baggy sweatshirts and its the cutest thing ever!! I've seen boys and girls in tights and something about baby boys in tights makes me sob it's the best

hey colleen! i know you said you were having difficulty with finding gender neutral clothes, but i think the whole point is that when you’re looking for clothes for them, you don’t need to buy clothes from their assigned gender section, if that makes sense! So buying things for Wesley from the “girls section” etc etc, putting a bow on him, since baby clothes are essentially just based on size, being gender neutral is not sticking to girl and boy clothes. sorry, not to seem super extra about it! just for future reference :)
Gentle suggestion: you can put Wesley in some of those those pink/purple sparkly onesies and Maisey in the blue/black one. Just to keep mixing it up.

Hey Colleen, an option to maybe get the twins matching clothes in whatever colours you’d like is just getting two of the same outfit in their respective sizes!
While I do agree, I feel like most of their clothes aren’t identical, they just like compliment each other. (I don’t know if that makes sense haha). But otherwise, it is a good idea :)
You need to get them Baby Leggings! They’re basically thigh-high socks for babies; it’s what I used for all my kids when they were babies and toddlers. Just search for “baby leg warmers” on amazon ☺️

That’s my school’s duck pond!! :D it’s my fav hangout spot, it’s so peaceful there and always so cool to see the turtles and ducks swimming around. It’s so sweet to see how much Flynn enjoyed it 💕

Tortilla Talk question- you've mentioned in the past that when you and Erik first got together you both used to laugh at the word "love" because what you felt for each other felt so much bigger than that word. Did you feel that way in your past relationships? What advice would you give to someone who's scared they may never find that (and is almost 30...)?
I watch your videos to escape from reality. Everything happening around the world is so sad, depressing. Your videos calm my anxiety. I love when you talk about all of your children as individuals. It really is showing the character they are developing. I also think they will love the stories when they are grown. I don't agree with people who say you are favoring one just because you talked about them more.

Colleen- there is no shame in liking the blue and pink aesthetic! Boys and girls can technically wear whatever; onesies are built the same for “boys onesies” and “girls onesies”. If you ever wanted to switch the twins colors (as long as they’re the right size) you absolutely could. But it seems that you like dressing Wes in blue and Maisy in pink! You’re the mom and you’re allowed to dress your twins however you like. There’s nothing wrong with following the stereotype if that’s what you like. One day they’ll make their own decisions about what they want to wear but for now you’re allowed to be a fashion momma!
Colleen you can get baby leg warmers for those cute onesies with no legs, they come in loads of colours and prints too 🥰
About the clothes for babies, you said that when you look for girls clothes they're pink and boys clothes are blue, but besides the obvious, there's no difference between a baby boy and a bay girl, they have the same shaped bodies. I dressed my daughter in girls and boys clothes when she was a baby. Got the most adorable bright blue onesie with multicoloured cars all over it, that was my favourite one, next favourite was a flowery one where there was like, muted mint, luminous pastel coral, loads of tiny flowers with a mini neck ruffle. I would've dressed a boy in the same, boys and girls clothes are all suitable for kids, and some adults.
Yeah that doesn’t make sense to me. She could get two “boys” outfits or two “girls” outfits and they can match. Also she puts that bow headband on Maisy all the time and it just seems like she’s definitely not practicing what she preaches about the whole “clothes have no gender” thing
I’m a exclusively formula mom, I couldn’t exclusively breastfeed longer than 3 weeks and then I exclusively pumped for another three weeks. Then we did formula.

I've been watching your videos since I was in middle school and have seen you grow so much since then. I took a break from your channel for a few years but jumped back in during the start of the pandemic and now, as a young adult in my 20s, your vlogs have taught me so much about motherhood, family, and self-care. I never really thought I wanted kids before I started rewatching your channel, but your videos were the first to make me seriously consider it - despite all the hard parts. In your video, "Psychic Reads my Twins' Future", Terry talked to you about how your career would change with your pregnancy. She said that you would become a support and comfort to new moms and that you will help "grow up" other people and influence their growth - and that is exactly how I've felt from watching your videos. You have been such an incredible influence and I am so glad I started watching your channel again when I did.

We got all different design "Leg Warmers" for our Son for clothes like that! They fit for a long time and go from the ankle to the highest part of the thigh. They'd work perfectly for your Stylin' Littles! ♡
Remember you don't have to only put Maisy in clothes from the girls section and Wesley in clothes from the boys section! Switch it up if you want to play around with colour without reinforcing gender stereotypes

Hey!!! Just got an alert from Target and they have a new Cat and Jack line that is mix and match that is really colorful that have clothes for the twins sizes and Flynn’s!! They have tie dye rompers for the babies that I am going to buy one of each color for for my son (4 months). I live in Korea and had both of my daughters here (currently 4 and 3). Baby clothes for girls are of two varieties: pink and ruffly or white and ruffly. And it's EXPENSIVE! I found a brand I LOVED called Allo & Lugh - their clothes are colorful and fun and so cute! Idk if you can get their stuff in the US, but my kids were almost exclusively dressed in that brand as babies.
The whole bathroom thing really bugs me because I'm a mom of 3, yes my girls are teenagers now, but my bathroom is ALWAYS a mess, the second I clean it, they totally trash it lol not even realizing that they trashed it, but I remember being a new mom and having 3 kids all 2 years apart, you don't always have the time to deep clean the way you want to, so I have nothing but appreciation for you hun, and I don't give a fudge if your whole house is a mess, you put all 3 of your babies first and that takes ALL the energy out of you and Eric, you guys are amazing, your kids are happy and healthy and that's all that really matters right now. It kinda sucks that people are so judgmental, just know that there are tons of people and moms out there who totally relate with you and how honest and realistic you are, as long as your family is happy and healthy what more can anyone truly want. Love you and appreciate all your hard work hun , you honestly are so relatable it always makes me feel more normal! ❤😊👍❤
