Ive already figured out what I did wrong, mostly that was just trying to do too much too soon but if Id pulled it off the footage would have been epic🤣 anyways I pretty sure I forgot to press go or start on the Active track mode🤦🏼♂️, and I probably had the range on the drone set too low to fly it to myself afterwards. As for the transducer I simply gave it all a reboot and got it working. Big trip coming up very soon! will be a few weeks between videos again until I get home from it
Great video as usual. With the drone when you are in active track don't have a static home poing, but have dynamic home point on where your remote is, so if you have to press return home it won't go to where it first took off.
I can totally relate to this 😁 Active track needs a reasonable contrast between subject and background. It might just not have been able to see you very clearly. I can also relate to the “too much too soon” 😁 But meh, what ya gonna do when ya got new toys 🤙
Hey mate I seen you running down Scarborough beach road about 2 weeks ago! I yelled out the window to ya. Is this what you were up in the big smoke for?
Still rattling through the older videos after discovering Gido last week. I genuinely cannot believe this dude doesn't have more subscribers and views. This is some of the best fishing/camping/outdoor content there is.
you know how to make fishing not boring for sure , don't even have to get the poles out make it a wild ride , I was feeling the fun and the stress, new gear windy day, electronics with nature and a new boat... blood everywhere..... awesome !! don't want you to get hurt or wreck up your stuff, but you sure leap all in when you go , good stuff , enjoying the adventure , stay alive down there, see ya next time !
I always test my equipment in a controlled environment before i go out with it. The boat on the other hand seemed great. You'll figure it out, thanks for the update.
Just go into settings on the sonar and press start . When your not using it in the water and playing around with it press stop sonar so u don't overheat the sonar
Exactly, select the “Sonar” menu to turn it on. Also depending on your unit you may have to check that the transducer model selected matches the transducer mounted in your hull.
Congratulations on your new Hobie TI. Same colour configuration as my AI. Good pick! I use trampoline on one side only, but tie an old surf board on the other side to provide a dry and stiff platform. Feel that's better for fishing and diving. Suppose to be a better spot for you to land the drone. Look forward to see more great trips from WA!
Congrats! Great choice. Tandem islands are the best. You really should get the trampolines (EDIT-commented before the end-you’ll love them). Peddling through tacks is often pretty important.
My man! I'm in Florida and I have fished out of a kayak or canoe chasing redfish with a fly rod for th last 15 years. ALL of your video are epic and your clif fishing is AMAZING! Mad props you legend!
Have fun, mate, and surely you will figure all the things out. Improve all the things that make the TI safer. Add the stuff you like to sail more comfortably. Cheers and greets from Spain 🇪🇸
Good for you I'm glad to see you take a break from the ROCK CLIMBING FISHING ON THE EDGE,-IS GOOD VIDEO BUT VERY DANGEROUS BUT I KNOW YOU LOVE IT, AND YOU GOT TO DO IT AGAIN-HAPPY SAILBOAT FISHING- PEACE OUT!!🙏🐠🙏
Thats actually sweet af bro.... Its crazy seein you down there like its christmas time.... I live in florida... its hot af right now.. congrats on the boat, im kinda jelly
the kayak is awesome (wishing i was you) and probably for GETTING to where you want to be. BUT, (Evil laugh) it would be fun to watch you try to 'Land' a seriously large fish with out-riggers. So paLeese think it through. Kudos, Man
amazing out rigger gido! just tame that beast and it will do u allot’ we have similar one’s in the philippines’ made of bamboo and wood carved into perfection its called “banka” and it also comes with 2 out riggers
Sick little rig mate! A buddy in Thailand has something similar for hopping between islands, even trolls from it. He made a waterproof rod storage outta large PVC pipe and fixed it to the outrigger poles, good little idea I thought. Looking forward to seeing the new adventures!
Epic gido🤙 can't wait for the new adventures to come.. It's like you are a jack of all trades😉 you keep surprising us and do things that we never expected you to do💯 and even though you get hurt sometimes it's cool because no one tries what you do cz most of the time it's always a first and you take on most of the missions all by yourself😎💪👌
Looking forward to the new adventures. Some of the ledges you can't possibly access from land, you might look into a spot lock trolling motor so you can fish the impossible spots.
Hi mate, I owned the single AI for years and spent a lot of time fishing from it and then sold it.....as you found out you get bloody wet and the stronger the breeze the wetter you get, i found sailing/fishing in a decent breeze say 10/15 knots was pretty full on as when you hook a decent fish you have to try and do a lot with one hand so make sure you fit a set of Railblaza rod holders and make sure you use leashes on the rods ....also dont use really good reels..the constant salt bath kills them , and be extra carefull when around any sort of surf...these craft dont track well in waves especially when approaching the shore and the only time I got rolled was during a beach landing snapped rods , lost my sounder ....mate just stay safe out there and get some good hours up in different conditions before you sail off into the sunset, Cheers
Good to meet you at getaway outdoors last week mate your videos encourage me to step outside my comfort zone with fishing however nowhere near your level, I'm one of those all the gear and no idea kind of fisherman haha keen as for future videos with this awesome creation!!
Definitely need dry bags on that beast! looks like a semi submersible bit wet, but little ripper hangs it along be nice if it had nets or boards to move about on the out rigs . looking forward to the content fish on!
Hi Guido, I’ve been following your vids and just wanted to comment - keep up the the great work - film & Audio improved I’d say. Although it’s pretty overcast there today, hope it works well in the sun and glare /Reflection in water, Enjoy the new water craft too Peace out of Berlin Germany
Awesome Gido ! welcome to Gidos sailin adventures !😁 that thing really moves out.... what was the max speed u saw ? did u have the paddles? up when sailing? bugga about yr finger !😣
Get some bungee cord & nets to properly stow your equipment. That may have been a swing keel on the other end of that starboard lever. You are in for a treat.
Been meaning to watch this for a while now, awesome setup once you've got the hang of it all. Crazy angles using the yak though, keen to see where this takes you. Cant always win the first time around but still a good watch mate, next time the drone footage will be on point 😂👍
Nice ride Gido. I had the single seater AI for a few years. Did some mothership trips to the Abrolhos Islands etc and caught some good fish over the years. Might be worthwhile getting a bilge pump fitted, as they do get water in the hull, especially via the front hatch. A drift anchor is handy too, to slow down the drift when bottom fishing. They're a lot of fun to sail eh!
What would be really great if you could add fresh water to the outriggers not only would it add stability it would mean you could carry lots of fresh water without being top heavy! 😁
@@gidosfishingadventures thanks for replying. Glider pilots do this to achieve top speed. Obviously dragging onto a beach may be difficult but I think worth investigating/ Anyway all the best and keep safe. Love your channel, watching hours on my large screen TV is amazing! 😁
The worst possible scenario to try and hand catch a drone, glad to see you get though, a little flesh wound is better than seeing it sink to the bottom 🤙

New boat, new drone, new chart plotter, new boater, new sailor. What can go wrong? It's fun being a guy!

Happy sailing.Cant wait for the next destinations. No more swimming to deserted islands making multiple trips to get gear landed.

I always feel so energetic after watching your video. Nice video. Appreciate your work.
When you unfurled the sail for the first time and she just shot off! Awesome!
Camera is definitely soo much better than the one before. Good luck and looking forward to more of your adventures.

its alright Gido. A learning curve to get used to your new kayak. Can't wait for you next adv.!!
Yes! So excited to see where you take this :) 👌
Your kayak drone shenanigans reminds me of a similar experience, where was dragged out to sea by a big bass in an inflatable Kayak. Good times!
Can't wait to see the next mish, looking forward to it...
Thanks for letting us know who you went through for the Hobie. Been wondering who I'm gonna go through when I'm ready to order my Hobie :)
Sailing is a whole new skill! You will get the hang of running before the wind and tacking…
Looking forward to seeing what epic stuff you get up to with this new setup Gido👍👍

Likewise, many adventures to make happen now 🤙🏼
Cool Gido, you will master it and the rest, looks good, still technically "land based",cheers and happy adventuring.

Buy a small 1st aid kit. Basic unit is still great. Flares
I use penn slammer III as they’re relatively cheap and water proof
Good luck G
I usually have a first aid kit on me but didn’t on this quick trip. Been looking at the penn slammers too 👍🏼
Nice video again...hope to see more videos from you...
Keep it simple mate. Another world out there...
Sweet Hobie definitely a good choice
Thanks Alfred
Looks like tons of fun and adventure ahead of you:) Congrats!

Cool... those things are great... always wanted one of my own instead of occasionally borrowing one

Great video, I have drone and understand your challenges. I really appreciate your doing an honest "self assessment.T

Awesome new rig mate! Yewwww
Aren’t you in Great White territory? Could not get me near that thing haha but looking forward to the content!
