Year 4021 A.D. A group of AUSSIE Scientists exploring what once was a remote island on the south coast of Western Australia found what they believe is the desiccated body of a primitive fisherman wedged between two rocks by his head.. and by his side, was a dessicated fish... The scientists commented, that fisherman had balls of steel.

Bring a little bag of sand and sprinkle it on slick spots.
Instead of hoisting big ones on the line, might try a rope with a net basket or a flying gaff on a weighted rope. For any really big ones.
Then you don't have to fray the line on rocks, I was getting all cringy.

To get into this you really need to do a course or 2 on rope access or abseiling and climbing and building anchors etc. to just tell you what rope I use is no use, there’s a lot more too it then just having the right right and once you learn what is required you won’t need to ask what rope etc you will know. Sorry not to be more helpful but for everyone’s safety they shouldn’t just be told what rope.... they are proper climbing or abseiling ropes. All load rated etc that part should be obvious 👍🏼
