The game is early access, it’s not actually fully finished. My guess is when it is we’ll have like what we did before where u make a bit of story progress after beating the boss each time. And once you truly finish the game we’ll most likely see Zag again

Poseidon and Demeter really miss Zag, I mean, Poseidon's voice tells everything, he genuinely misses him and Demeter got attached to him very quickly. Our boy Zagreus deserves to be part of this game.

Might potentially fill a similar role to Thanatos, in that he shows up now and then during the odd run to "Test your abilities" but more or less helps out for a room albeit with a challenge of beating more enemies then him. If you do well, you get a reward. If not? Well, fun sibling bonding moment
My theory is that he ends up being one of the summons. Giving his sister Mel one of the plushies he loved to collect so much, the excuse being it was a gift he was saving for her first birthday.
I genuinely love the differences between Melinoe and Zagreus so much. Mel is so burdened by duty but is also deeply innocent and focused, coming across as naive. It gives her this perfect younger sibling energy to the cool rebellious overachiever brother.
I like how Hermes just helping zagreus ended being genuine attachment. The way he refer to Melinoë task as "we" also shows how much he willing to openly involved this time to save the family and zagreus
Felt like they adapt according to those who contacts them, Chaos chaotic abomination form took form because Zagreus seeking freedom from his Father's domain while Chaos neat orderly form took form because Melinoe seeking order for her Father's domain.

I like how they capture the self centered nature of some of the gods. They have very little understanding of a world outside themselves. Like Aphrodite is glad it wasn’t because of her that Zag did not respond. Sure it seems insensitive to us, but I am sure she was really relieved.
Honestly, for a the Aphrodite, vain, spiteful, emotional, avarice filled goddess, worrying that she was the one who offended him (i.e. her fault) instead of taking it as offense and blaming him? That is absolutely titanic show of how much she likes and respects him. Zag must have became a straight up enitre family's mediator while being immensely respected

He’s also looking to be the fastest to get attached to Melinoe. Aside from Aphrodite, the returning gods oddly seemed to have matured a smidge since the last game, though feel a little bad for our goddess that most of her family is comparing to her older sibling from the start

Interesting, so the reason why Hephaestus wasn't around in the first game was because he simply sat out when Nyx When to the Olympians for help, But. In a way he does have a point if the other guys didn't bring each other into their problems. Maybe things wouldn't have escalated to certain situations. And it's nice to see that the other gods all remember Zag fondly, especially since they got more involved with the Underworld operations. Since he became the official stress tester for their defenses. He must have put up one hell of a resistance against Chronos before eventually being captured and sealed off to who knows where.

2:49 A personal theory of mine, and why Chaos seems to not like Melinoe, is that Chaos takes on the form of whatever the person speaking to them would imagine they look. Zagreus’ idea of Chaos was much more amusing and fun to Chaos, but Melinoe’s idea is boring to Chaos and they kinda hate it. Also Chaos is much more interested in Zagreus’ cause because he is doing the opposite of what the authority in his life is telling him to do- while Melinoe is doing what her mentor and family wants. Chaos finds Melinoe’s studious nature boring compared to Zagreus’ more chaotic fly off the handle approach
The form isnt really that, especially since chaos face is very close to nyx´s face in the first game, mostly because it seems that zagreus succeded in reuniting the two and chaos became closer to the family as a whole. Though, it does makes sense of zagreus being way more chaotic and thus more interesting to chaos, since melinoe is more akin to hades in the way she handles things. Which makes his remark of her not being interesting more of a "Gods, please do something without planning it first please."
I know people are talking about how Chaos roasts her and Aphrodite is glad he's only captured and not ignoring her, but I wanna point out that it's actually insane that they care that much. Chaos is depicted as possibly the most apathetic character in all of existence, and Zagreus made such an impression that Chaos cares at least somewhat. And Aphrodite? Her being worried that she did something to upset Zagreus, her accepting possible blame and being possibly prepared to apologize, is UNFATHOMABLE given how vain, self centered, and shallow she is in myth and most of the games. Her not immediately shunting all the blame onto him is like... mark your calendars level of rarity.
I like how Chaos low-key disses Mel by saying Zagreus was interesting and that Mel is so much different from him. Makes sense for Chaos to feel this way, since Mel seems to have inherited the dutiful and orderly nature of her father, compared to Zag being more rebellious and free-spirited...Chaotic you might say
Poor Melinoe, born in the midst of conflict. Zag, despite Persephone's absence has a relatively healthy relationship with Hades until he started asking questions and fighting out. Even so, Nyx and Achilles supported him from the start of his fight. Melinoe had to be a weapon out of necessity while Zagreus pushed through the underworld out of personal interest and self discovery. Love the contrast of their characters
Quite frankly, I fear Chronos has cut off his eyes and ears, fed him to his weapons (Like Zagreus fed titan blood to his weapons) and the taught him how to fight by touch and smell, leading to a boss fight with a decayed Zagreus who can't see you nor hear you, and with worse move set than in the original out of exhaustion and agony. That would be a real quick way to make everyone despise Chronos, and with how much everyone is like: "THEY WILL BE FINE, DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT" as much as I don't think it will go to such lengths, I really don't think he'll be ok. And yes, my mind tends to go to the worst possible scenario, so I really hope I am wrong💀

I’m surprised that when Poseidon mentioned “Little Hades,” that he didn’t start calling Melinoe “Little Persephone.” I was honestly rather disappointed!
I’ve heard his hair turned white after receiving the Lightning Bolt from the Cyclops’. Not in the game but from other myths. It makes more sense in the game that it resembles clouds as ruler of Olympus while Poseidon has straight yet wet looking blue hair and Hades has a dark scraggly beard resembling earth. Hyperion/Helios likely would probably have bright/blonde hair that looked like fire; or maybe multiple colors. That said it is a little odd as he is the youngest of the original Olympians.
We better see Zagreus in the new major updates sooner or later. I’d like to see him and Melinoë taking a bath with each other, fighting each other as a boss, using his weapons, using his boons and all types of cool stuff with him
Hey what would be cool is if you could free zagreus and then whenever you do a run, you can run into him delving deeper as well. There coukd be a chance that when you fight chronos he shows up and fights alongside you

Interesting, so the reason why Hephaestus wasn't around in the first game was because he simply sat out when Nyx When to the Olympians for help, But.
In a way he does have a point if the other guys didn't bring each other into their problems. Maybe things wouldn't have escalated to certain situations.
And it's nice to see that the other gods all remember Zag fondly, especially since they got more involved with the Underworld operations. Since he became the official stress tester for their defenses. He must have put up one hell of a resistance against Chronos before eventually being captured and sealed off to who knows where.
from the Hades "minigame" you can see that zagreus tried to throw a cast but was frozen mid animation, shame really, chronos would have been cooked
@@ayaya- That might just be a placeholder for now! They used his old sprite from the original game, but the portrait Mel has shows him with an updated look, so I'm holding out hope that they're going to give him more of a role in future updates.

A personal theory of mine, and why Chaos seems to not like Melinoe, is that Chaos takes on the form of whatever the person speaking to them would imagine they look. Zagreus’ idea of Chaos was much more amusing and fun to Chaos, but Melinoe’s idea is boring to Chaos and they kinda hate it. Also Chaos is much more interested in Zagreus’ cause because he is doing the opposite of what the authority in his life is telling him to do- while Melinoe is doing what her mentor and family wants. Chaos finds Melinoe’s studious nature boring compared to Zagreus’ more chaotic fly off the handle approach
The form isnt really that, especially since chaos face is very close to nyx´s face in the first game, mostly because it seems that zagreus succeded in reuniting the two and chaos became closer to the family as a whole. Though, it does makes sense of zagreus being way more chaotic and thus more interesting to chaos, since melinoe is more akin to hades in the way she handles things. Which makes his remark of her not being interesting more of a "Gods, please do something without planning it first please."

I know people are talking about how Chaos roasts her and Aphrodite is glad he's only captured and not ignoring her, but I wanna point out that it's actually insane that they care that much. Chaos is depicted as possibly the most apathetic character in all of existence, and Zagreus made such an impression that Chaos cares at least somewhat. And Aphrodite? Her being worried that she did something to upset Zagreus, her accepting possible blame and being possibly prepared to apologize, is UNFATHOMABLE given how vain, self centered, and shallow she is in myth and most of the games. Her not immediately shunting all the blame onto him is like... mark your calendars level of rarity.

I like how Chaos low-key disses Mel by saying Zagreus was interesting and that Mel is so much different from him. Makes sense for Chaos to feel this way, since Mel seems to have inherited the dutiful and orderly nature of her father, compared to Zag being more rebellious and free-spirited...Chaotic you might say

Poor Melinoe, born in the midst of conflict. Zag, despite Persephone's absence has a relatively healthy relationship with Hades until he started asking questions and fighting out. Even so, Nyx and Achilles supported him from the start of his fight. Melinoe had to be a weapon out of necessity while Zagreus pushed through the underworld out of personal interest and self discovery. Love the contrast of their characters
Honestly I think people will riot if Zag isn't ok.
Quite frankly, I fear Chronos has cut off his eyes and ears, fed him to his weapons (Like Zagreus fed titan blood to his weapons) and the taught him how to fight by touch and smell, leading to a boss fight with a decayed Zagreus who can't see you nor hear you, and with worse move set than in the original out of exhaustion and agony.
That would be a real quick way to make everyone despise Chronos, and with how much everyone is like: "THEY WILL BE FINE, DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT" as much as I don't think it will go to such lengths, I really don't think he'll be ok.
And yes, my mind tends to go to the worst possible scenario, so I really hope I am wrong💀

I’ve heard his hair turned white after receiving the Lightning Bolt from the Cyclops’. Not in the game but from other myths.
It makes more sense in the game that it resembles clouds as ruler of Olympus while Poseidon has straight yet wet looking blue hair and Hades has a dark scraggly beard resembling earth.
Hyperion/Helios likely would probably have bright/blonde hair that looked like fire; or maybe multiple colors.
That said it is a little odd as he is the youngest of the original Olympians.
There needs to a third game where both Zagreus and Melinoe meet and interactions with each other like a co-op game.
