Wow, that's a complete game changer.... definitely open up more options of usability....Now you can get dressed and have more privacy...sleep in there if it's to hot in your van, you now have the space to bring along friends for over night visits....that's awesome Thank you for sharing I didn't see the link for ordering them
This is great, good if you are going to be static for a few days on a site or especially if the weather is English. Love your vids see you on the next one.
Excellent review. Really interested in getting one myself, aswell as the awning itself. As you say, not the cheapest but i like the mozzy net aspect, but think its the floor attachment to the sides that swings it for me. Anything that speeds the setting up and it doesn't look too bad either does it! Thanks for another great vid!! Happy Camping!
Thanks for your comment, we really appreciate it :) yes, still early days but can say that we'd recommend one 100%. Nice to have the general set up down to only a few minutes!
hehe, not quite as stressful as putting up and taking down a tent but I'm sure this will test us at some point down the road! :P I'd messed up trying to get my words out that many times I thought it was only fair to portray a little bit of my struggle
Great review. It would be interesting to see a longer term review to know if you are still using the room and what are your thoughts about it since the purchase. Thanks.
Great idea! Added to the future content list! Must admit we didn’t use it much/at all on the adventure but with wild camping you can’t just set up your awning! 🚐👍😁
I have a similar ARB room fitted to my awning. It looks like you have the same problem I have and that’s a gap between the awning and sliding door when open. Regards Shaun
Hi Shaun. Yes, there's definitely a gap there. Thinking of ways to minimise the gap whilst keeping the material of the awning out of the way of the door mechanism! Hasn't caused us problems yet, but would be nice to be a bit more sealed off to the elements.
Hi! To be honest we’ve never used it during really windy times. But it has seen a fair bit of heavy rain and always did well. But yeah, you’d want to tie it all down as best you can, if it lifted off it could probably do a decent amount of damage!
Haha, cheers paul! We were a bit unsure about that and even discussed it very briefly in our awning install video. Will try and unlearn the mistake :p thanks for your comment! :)
hi guys, love your videos, they are so informative but funny at the same time. My partner + I are thinking of converting a van into a camper van so may I ask how much the A.R.B Deluxe Awning was, keep up with the vids, thankyou guys 😆
Thanks for your comment, we really appreciate it :) the ARB stuff can be quite expensive, however we think it's worth the cost. The quality is worth paying for. But with that said, I can't tell you exactly what these retail for. We managed to pick these up for cost price through work which has saved us quite a lot of money. But I think you'd be looking in the region of £250 plus for the awning. Which is a lot but compared to other options like fiamma etc it's not too bad at al.
The awning came in very handy during lockdown, but because we wild camp 99% of the time we barely get it out. The room is great too, but we haven't used it once on our trip. We have used it in the past for extra room/sleeping space when at festivals with friends and families. If we stayed still more often we would have probably used it more. Just not something we'd feel comfortable erecting when out in the wild :)
@@FloraTheNoviceExplorers thanks very much in deed im buying both the awning and deuxe room next month to go on our teardrop trailer we then just need to have made quick release riser brackets that will take the height up to 7ft and bolt onto our roof bars
Pete N not quite sure what you mean? The side that clips to the van has a big zip door so will zip up and the opening by the camera have mesh and doors - hope this helps!
Yeah. That's one major downside! It'd be great if that was possible right put of the box. Just means that once camp is set up you're going to be there until you pack it all away!

Awnings are tremendous, they double your space and give you that “being outside feeling” love mine 😎👍🥂
Great video will look at a possible purchase once my Van is completed.
Loved your review - entertaining, funny, and informative - thank you!
Cheers Phil 😊 glad you found it useful!
Yes - superb!

thanks for posting this, I've been debating buying one for my vw t25 but you've gone into such helpful detail! Thank you XXX
Hi! We’re glad it was helpful :) Really happy with the quality of the ARB products we have!
Wow an awning that can't be called "divorce in a bag" you made that look easy well apart from the intro ey fella great vid as always

"An air of sausage" Lovely!
Don't sweat it i think a few mistakes adds to the charm of your vids thats maybe why i like mrs browns boys so much
Weirdly I’ve worked on that show LOL!
I like those low sitting chairs
Haha, we did too. We were just borrowing them but think we may purchase them. I'll let you know the brand once I remember!

How does it hold-up under windy days. I understand they dont holdup very well to the wind and can do some serious damage when they fail.

Did you use this very much on your travels?

Is the ground sheet sewn in?
Hi Simon. Yes, at least ours is. The entire "room" is stitched together, if that makes sense? From memory I dont think you can remove the ground sheet

How about the 2 side you clip. They are open and bugs

Ok, decided not to get the ARB awning and room. I wouldn't be able to use my jeep without dropping the tent.
Yeah. That's one major downside! It'd be great if that was possible right put of the box. Just means that once camp is set up you're going to be there until you pack it all away!
It’s A R B not arb
