The original arcade version was developed for Sega System 1 hardware. The System 1 had extremely powerful graphics hardware for the time, capable of displaying 2048 colours simultaneously out of a static pallette of 4096 and could display and animate 128 sprites simultaneously.
Funny enough I was just playing the sega genesis version of this exact same game on the ps4 sega genesis classics game I got to say it looks splendidly wonderful on the tv that we have upstairs also I played it on Sonic's ultimate genesis collection for the ps3 I got to say I loved seeing how the game looked on the tv down here
I realized I forgot to include that version by the time this was uploaded. I might possibly re-do this one including the SG-1000 port or do a follow-up video.
Flicky is the first Sonic character
Dosen't that make Sonic a Flicky Character?
@@CosmicSponge2004 Sonic is born in 1991 cuz Flicky is born in 1984

I had already played the Sega Genesis version on an AtGames console when I was little!
