@DragonQueefs I can literally play my fave indies for 10 hours and triple A games for around 3. That's both on max settings. Amazing. You don't need even a LCD Steam Deck but if you have the money then I would recommend. 'You don't need it' can be said about anything apart from the obvious stuff.
I'm getting my deck tomorrow. I was super upset because it didn't come on the weekend, but i wouldn't have gotten anything done to be fair. Great video! I learned quite a few things!
I did the same thing and got the LCD model just before the OLED came out and I was kicking myself about it too, but I've found mine to still be great. Also just learned about the sunshine or moonlight remote play from the video, thanks!
Had my lcd SD since August 2022, still havnt needed a new one, this device is amazing, had it 2 yrs, still no stick drift, or problems, it's so durable!
I had a couple of games on Steam that would play on my Mac but I really didn't have any games until I got the OLED Steam Deck and now I have a bunch of games! I love this device so much
It becomes a lot more worth the purchase when you’re getting a hand held PC that can emulate (any console) and can also play PC games at a steady and decent frame rate. Plus desktop mode works perfectly and I could use the deck as a spare PC if need be

I have my LCD steam deck connected to a TV with a dock mouse and keyboard headset etc. I can disconnect it and play hand held on the couch whenever I'm want but I have been using it docked a lot, playing CS2, and other fps games. My 15 Year old computer can't run CS2, and having a larger screen is sweet. I do plan on getting a new gaming PC soon to get past the 60fps limit and to keep up with windows 12 since windows 10 will be losing support next year and my current PC build is not able to support windows 11. I plan on running Linux on my old PC after I get my new one.
As he mentioned in the video protondb is a useful resource, but in my personal experience, on lower settings it runs well. I did have to remap a button to switch the “active screen” to log into the Microsoft account. Once I was past that headache it worked well. But I haven’t tried in a bit, it may be a better experience now
bruuuuu, did uyou know steam finally released steam os and its installable now, i got it direct from steam and drirectly wrote the iso to my external and booted over but it does require setting secure boot to other os and you can leave it on, im on it right now an a s tier pc, 4 tb nvme 6900 xt 32 gb ram and 7800 x3d, i got all the steamdeck now lmao, plus i got steamlink on my tab s9+ and yeah it works well even at 120 fps on any game lmao
Nice Video ! I also got an LCD Version and absolute happy with it. Upgraded it to 1 tb ssd by myself it has become my main gaming system, i also got an old gaming desktop pc and a gaming notebook but to be honest the Deck with the docking station is my favorite. I also bought a pretty fast samsung sd and installed Windows 11 on it, so i can use some anticheat games and also use Netflix & Prime Video App with movie downloads. To go totaly hardcore i got a mobile 16" screen with bluetooth keyboard, mouse and Xbox gamepad. All that stuff suits into a backpack with equal weight to a gaming laptop. This is the best piece of hardware i bought in the past few years. i know it´s not not the high end gaming machine but to be honest the emulation of old systems catches me as well as indie games like Project Zomboid ( which plays great on Deck ). I also play God of War, State of Decay 2 and Tekken 7 or Street Figther 6 and they work perfect maybe not with max. details but as i always say : The best graphics do not make the best game. A great game at low details is still a great game and boring game with high end graphics at the end is just a ...... Greetz from Germany
I am getting the OLED but you dont need both. Also thanks for the tips. Oled comes in tomorrow and I am so excited. I have all the accessories and dock already here

I plan on running Linux on my old PC after I get my new one.
There’s also an app to remote play your Xbox on the steam deck
so spiderman, days gone and horizon are available on steam right? im waiting dor my steamdeck to arrive.
Please can this steam deck run Forza Horizon 5?
As he mentioned in the video protondb is a useful resource, but in my personal experience, on lower settings it runs well. I did have to remap a button to switch the “active screen” to log into the Microsoft account. Once I was past that headache it worked well. But I haven’t tried in a bit, it may be a better experience now
I didn’t know you could do over half of what you mentioned on the steam deck wow!
OLED is a great upgrade. Better fps, better picture, longer battery, bigger screen, weighs less, and has improved thumb sticks.
How's it have better FPS if the processor , and gpu are the same exact as the LCD?
@@Lee-bp8spfaster ram and the main chip is actually slightly different

Spider-Man IS on steam. Starfield also plays very well
I just bought the 64gb model. I think is by far the most value for buck. Thank you for the video!
Of course! Anytime
I have all the accessories and dock already here
Great quality videos, congrats on the channel. Hope you get lots of subs. (Subscribed 😊)

"Hit me in the feels and make me feel like a k8d again" I share the sentiment!!!
Man! What a great video! And if anyone have an Xbox One or Series you can play it remotely with Greenlight. You could make a second part including this and Geforce Now. 😊
You right I forgot about greenlight! If I make a follow up I’ll def include
You certainly know how to do videos. Informative and straight to the point. Keep it up.
Thank you!!
