You all convinced me... I bought Upgraded to the Steam Deck OLED and here's my follow up video! 😅
th-cam.com/video/AonxugdwR5k/w-d-xo.html
very nice - can you make any tutorials for that stuff
be careful of screen burn in.
You certainly do not need the OLED. The LCD model is a great PC. I use mine more as a desktop than a gaming device.
Thanks for letting me know haha. It has calmed my temptation a bit
You don't need a steam deck at all either.
Not everybody is going to use it as a desktop PC like you are either.
You don’t but if you got the money you should definitely upgrade the battery alone is such a upgrade over 50% more battery time
@@zomg346 it's 30-50% better
@DragonQueefs I can literally play my fave indies for 10 hours and triple A games for around 3. That's both on max settings. Amazing. You don't need even a LCD Steam Deck but if you have the money then I would recommend. 'You don't need it' can be said about anything apart from the obvious stuff.
Man this was an amazing video. I'm so used to videos like this being click bait, but this was all genuinely intriguing and cool informative tips about the capabilities of the Steam Deck. Thank you so much for making this video! Gonna check out the sites you talked about! : )
Glad you enjoyed!! No problem at all! If you need any help feel free to send a message
Seriously? This is the most basic and simple list of "tips" ever. Like 95% of it is stuff most people already know when even thinking about purchasing a steam deck
@@EggMilkBread Well considering I didn't know it, seems like it's pretty helpful for those other 5% now don't it?
Because of your channel I found yesterday, I've ordered my Steamdeck.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge 💪🏻👍😁
Greetings from Germany
Good video, straight to the point and I didn't realize I could remote play PS5
Glad I could help!
😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮
Had my lcd SD since August 2022, still havnt needed a new one, this device is amazing, had it 2 yrs, still no stick drift, or problems, it's so durable!
It really is!
I did the same thing and got the LCD model just before the OLED came out and I was kicking myself about it too, but I've found mine to still be great. Also just learned about the sunshine or moonlight remote play from the video, thanks!
Great video! My first steam deck is on its way this week. Let’s go!
Ayyy let’s go!! You got the OLED or the LCD?
@@gg_sheed I snagged the OLED as my first Steamdeck - and it’s arrived!
You got it yet?
Hey man, thank you for this video I'm pumped to try sunlight/moonlight. I've had my deck for a year now and go through phases of heavy use to no use at all. This is a game changer for me.
Ayyy nice! I’m glad I could help
You earned a SUB! I knew a couple of these but it was still worthy of a full watch. Thanks and hope the best for your channel!
Thank you!! 🙏🏾 maybe for the next one I’ll get into more advanced tips
Very good video; you pretty much covered the biggest use-cases for the steam deck in under 8 minutes :)
Thank you! Just started TH-cam so trying to find that sweet spot when it comes to content length haha.
I love you enthusiastic energy!! I feel the same way about the steam deck. I honestly didn't know i could stream games from my ps5 to the deck. i have to try that now!
Thank you!! Haha I try to be my natural self as much as possible in these vids. Glad I could help!
Dude, I’m so glad I clicked on your video, I had no idea about the remote play to the PS5. Thank you. Liked and subscribed.
Glad I could help!! Thanks for the sub 😊
this video is amazing. high quality and entertaining. i think you can make ir big bro
Ayyy I appreciate it!! Means a lot especially since I just started TH-cam. I’ll continue to make more better videos!
Great video and info, love your energy, you obviously love your deck. I am discovering new things the deck can do daily. It has now become my most used pc, I can game in 4K on my main rig, but then I'm tied to my desk and the couch is way more comfy 😂. It's so convenient and I keep a couple cheap Amazon docks around just for the opportunity to play wherever, when I get some free time 🙂 Like you I adopted early and missed the OLED release, I may buy the upgrade but now I have to wonder if waiting for Steam Deck 2 is a better choice..
Hey, leaving aside the fact that I truly liked the video, I enjoyed even more your vibe and joyful tone. You've got yourself a sub from Argentina, GG!
Thank you for the kind words!! Really keeps me motivated to make more vids haha
What a fantastic video. Subscribed. Loved every bit of it, your pacing was perfect, cuts were perfect. background was not distracting but eye pleasing. Audio sounded great, all of it was good and I learned something about Emudeck. Thankjs for the video, easiest subscribe ever
Wow comments like these make my entire day haha. Thank you so much! Glad I could help
I second this.
Such objective content, what a great video! I'll definitely buy mine.
Ayyy Glad I could help! Haha happy gaming
Such a good video. You’re going to go far if you continue making content, you have such a professional setup, amazing video set up and editing, and some awesome research. I got my OLED model yesterday as my first it’s such a more powerful handheld than I expected, tips like these go a long way since I didn’t know about half of these
Thank you!! Yea I’ve been slowly getting equipment all ready before starting my channel haha. Def going to try to get better with each video!
Thanks for great enthusiasm and passion for gaming! :)
Great video, I just got a Steam Deck and loving it. I didn't know about Sunshine and Moonlight, I will have to try them out. I have also been using the Deck for movies as well with streaming services and VLC player. I have not loved a handheld this much since the OG Gameboy.
Same! Having the deck makes me feel like a kid again when I got my PSP lol. Let me know how it goes!
Tha'ts the power of Linux! 💪🐧 People on the fence should give Linux a chance to be their main OS. It has become much easier to use and more secure than Windows. Steam Deck desktop mode is basically immutable Arch distro using KDE Plasma desktop environment which resembles Windows a lot so most people should get familiar fast.
@@gg_sheedPSP was epic in it's time and it was just competition between console platform. Now it's a totally different market we are living in and have vast lifestyle options.
This video has definitely strengthened my decision to purchase the deck. Was on the fence for the past 2 weeks 😂
😂😂 glad I could help! Sorry for your wallet
It becomes a lot more worth the purchase when you’re getting a hand held PC that can emulate (any console) and can also play PC games at a steady and decent frame rate. Plus desktop mode works perfectly and I could use the deck as a spare PC if need be
its my favourite gadget of 2023 as well
great video
Great energy from you! Love your smile and enthusiasm as well as the great information. I'm an old gamer and need help from you young people. Love that you were playing frogger. LOL
Thank you! Haha frogger is such a classic, I beat it recently but i didnt remember how freaking hard it was!
Great vid! Good talking points and good production value. You'll do well!
Man I appreciate this so much! Thank you
Great video!!! Learned features such as remote play from my PS5. Was going to buy a PS portal but I will give it try on my Steam Deck.
Glad I could help! Haha thank you.
Thanks bro! I been thinking about getting one, but I wanted to know how downloading games works first. Your video was very clear on that and some thanks.
Glad I could help!!! I thought the same thing before I bought mine lol
Didn't learn a single new thing but it was a good video regardless man. Keep at it. You have that radio voice.
Appreciate it! Sorry I couldn’t deliver more useful info for ya. Maybe I should make a follow up with more advanced tips
Just subbed. Great start to your channel! Looking forward to more.
Appreciate the sub!!! Working on the next video as we speak haha
6:20 dual boot friendly should be your number 7, most other reviewers don't even talk about this.
So thanks for doing so as the how to vids seem easy enough
Im saving up for the steamdeck at the moment and cant wait to get one
Yeah i love mine had it for 2 years now and its still amazing.
Awesome video, thank you ! 🙏
I had a couple of games on Steam that would play on my Mac but I really didn't have any games until I got the OLED Steam Deck and now I have a bunch of games! I love this device so much
You certainly know how to do videos. Informative and straight to the point. Keep it up.
Thank you!!
Remote play PS5?! 🎉 Love your delivery style, dude. I hope this channel grows. Subbed.
Man you have a bright future as a creator, You've inspired me to do better. This was fantastic! Keep it up! You earned a sub from me!

Great vid and tips
Thank you!
You have great energy bro! Awesome review
Thank you! Defintely gonna make another steam deck video soon
@@gg_sheed Dope! It'd be interesting to see what kind of games you play on there, maybe a personal top 10 list or something like that?
Good informative video you spoke clear and concise. New subscriber gained,
Great quality videos, congrats on the channel. Hope you get lots of subs. (Subscribed 😊)
Thanks for the sub!! Let’s gooo, haha I hope so too
No need for sunlight/moonlight stuff. Just activate remote play in the settings.
same here
Moonlight works directly with the GPU or something. I don't remember exactly how it works, but if you've tried both it's immediately obvious how much better it works over Steam's native option. The latency feels so much better that it really makes me hope Valve does something to get theirs to this quality.
@@infasis will defs check it out at some point. I remote play a lot of games so any improvement would be more than welcome
Love your way of presenting the topic. Liked and subscribed. Now I am REALLY thinking about buying one.... Damn :D
😂😂 sorry to tempt you even more
I didn’t know you could do over half of what you mentioned on the steam deck wow!
Thanks for the info!
Happy to help!
I am getting the OLED but you dont need both. Also thanks for the tips. Oled comes in tomorrow and I am so excited. I have all the accessories and dock already here

Ayyy let’s go! Glad I could help🫡
Great video, thank you!
Ayy glad you enjoyed it!! Just started this whole TH-cam thing lol
Absolutely great video. Enunciating all words will help you make even better videos. (Library) i liked and subscribed looking forward to seeing you grow.

My steam deck oled is coming on Tuesday! So excited to try out steam games… all I have is a ps5
Ayyy let’s goo! Haha I just upgraded to an oled…making a video on it now lol
Just add them to your wish list and wait for 70-90% sales.

Nice! Hope your channel is doing well too. lol mine also fills it with steam deck and rog Ally videos 😅
Great vid. I absolutely love the steam deck. It really reignited my passion for pcs and games. To be able to play all my steam games anywhere is just so goddamn cool to me.

Appreciate you Nathan!!! I’ll keep making videos like these 😌
I ordered the OLED today. Can’t wait to play with it.
Ayy congrats! Yea the SD has definitely made gaming so much more fun to me
Very entertaining video!
Idk how u don’t have more subs bro. Great video
I appreciate it! Haha probably cause I’m just starting out but every sub counts 🙏🏾
Nice Video ! I also got an LCD Version and absolute happy with it. Upgraded it to 1 tb ssd by myself it has become my main gaming system, i also got an old gaming desktop pc and a gaming notebook but to be honest the Deck with the docking station is my favorite. I also bought a pretty fast samsung sd and installed Windows 11 on it, so i can use some anticheat games and also use Netflix & Prime Video App with movie downloads. To go totaly hardcore i got a mobile 16" screen with bluetooth keyboard, mouse and Xbox gamepad. All that stuff suits into a backpack with equal weight to a gaming laptop. This is the best piece of hardware i bought in the past few years. i know it´s not not the high end gaming machine but to be honest the emulation of old systems catches me as well as indie games like Project Zomboid ( which plays great on Deck ). I also play God of War, State of Decay 2 and Tekken 7 or Street Figther 6 and they work perfect maybe not with max. details but as i always say : The best graphics do not make the best game. A great game at low details is still a great game and boring game with high end graphics at the end is just a ...... Greetz from Germany
You’re good at this! Subbed :)
Appreciate it!! 😌
Great video. Hope you grow fast.
Appreciate it! It’s going well so far!
@@gg_sheed yeah. Keep up the good work.
Great content my dude you've convinced me OLED 512gb is on the way ...very helpful hints on this vid...cheers !
I loved the video, but in regards of moonlight and remote playing, steam has already its on way called like that, Steam Remote Play which may come really handy if all you plan on playing is steam games that way but havent checked it out much myself.
Anyways great vid and love the format!
Thank you! Yea steam link works good too but I mentioned sunshine/moonlight because it gives a lot more functions
Excellent video. I have now subscribed.
Thank you!!
Great video. Thank youe
Glad I could help!
Man! What a great video! And if anyone have an Xbox One or Series you can play it remotely with Greenlight. You could make a second part including this and Geforce Now. 😊
You right I forgot about greenlight! If I make a follow up I’ll def include
Good video man!!
Thank you! Got a follow up one for the oled coming soon haha
I had no idea about moonlight definitely given that a go
Ayyy glad I could help!
Great video!
I ran into issues using my dock. The graphics were not all that great and my 8bit Duo remote lagged. Do you have those issues?
Hmm honestly I didn’t! Which steam deck do you have the oled it LCD?
I Sunshine and Moonlight still necessary? I heard that the built in Steam Remote Play is little to no latency correct?
Will you do a video on getting mods to run on the steam deck bannerlord start to finish
The clip of the friends on the couch killed me 😂 Also Chiaki runs amazing and cured all my PS Portal FOMO instantly
😂 friends sold separately
Good video..thanks sir
Anytime!
"Hit me in the feels and make me feel like a k8d again" I share the sentiment!!!
Amazing video up and coming great tech TH-camr 😂❤🎉😊
Thank you!! Glad I could help!
Gotta say, as someone new to the gaming comunity, I own an old laptop and a xbox one, so the steam deck is a game changer for me, I got the lcd version because its what I could pay for lol and Im morr than happy! Love the video
Great video, which dock would you recommend for the deck?
Depends on what ports you need but the one in my description is cheap and has 6 ports! The steam deck official one is good too, it comes with another charger as well but more expensive
Great review. I feel the same as you about steamdeck. I’m 45, and like it better than any gaming device I’ve had since the sea master system and nes when I was a little kid. It’s fantastic.
Thank you! Yea when I first got the steam deck it reminded me of the sega game gear haha. Good times
Throughly appreciate this video. I love my steam deck but hestiate to add any emulatoon due to my limited knowledge with emulation period. I definitely want to play some old school games in the future
It’s pretty easy to setup with emudeck! You should def give it a shot
Very good information, ❤. I just subscribed to well worth it. Cheers man 😃👍
Thanks for the sub!! Looking forward to making more videos!
I didn't even know about #4 😳😳😳😳😳 that's awesome
Yessirr!
As an lcd deck 512gb owner who never used it, this video set the standard for me to use it.
Subscribed
Appreciate it!! Haha I think imma upgrade to the oled soon
Same here. Will sell my 512gb with the 1tb card and will order the red límited edition oled version 1tb
Awesome !
Great stuff! I use Greenlight to stream XSX and GamePass Cloud gaming to the deck. Highly recommended.
Yes I should’ve mentioned greenlight as well!
Great video bud!
Appreciate it!! Tryna get better with each video haha
@@gg_sheed keep it up brother, I know the hard work that goes in and I hope it pays off
How do you back up saves? Trying to get all endings on Elden ring with the steam deck.
It takes time and dedication, so don't give, and I'm sure that you'll see the light at the end of the road 🙏🏾
I had to decide between a Steam Deck & a PS5 last Fall. I’m so glad I went with the Steam Deck! I can play almost all the same games portably! Plus a great variety of emulators. It’s everything I liked about the Switch turned up a notch.
The steam deck is def a beefier Nintendo switch haha glad you are enjoying it!
Great video! Curious if youve ever had an issue with emudeck? Some of the emulators work but some do not, and i habe a feeling its because when installing emudeck it says my sd card isnt readable so i choose custom (desktop installation) which is strange cause my sd card is definitely readable and it works as it is what what i use for reg steam games in ny deck
I’ve never seen the desktop installation option. Are you sure you downloaded the right version of emudeck for steamOS? I think you may be using the Linux based one
@gg_sheed hmmmm, tbh I followed a guide lol, maybe I'll jsut try the websites guide instead. Isn't desktop mode on the deck Linux though? Sorry man, new to all this lmao
All good! Yea the desktop mode is pretty much Linux but I think there are some slight differences between SteamOS and Linux which is why there’s a separate emudeck version for SteamOS specifically
I hate to be locked to store fronts but the fact that steam keys are available at many great digital stores is amazing for deals like humble ,fanatical, and many others.
Just like with ps remote play there is game pass (don’t know the interaction with the actual console) but it is amazing to add to your library for a limited time. I have like 2500+ steam games and there still countless games I only have access to and haven’t let my subscription to game pass lapsed since. I personally fell in love with pc a long time ago and always wanted an actual mobile version because a laptop was just too cumbersome and expensive. Love my steam deck even if it’s mostly to play in bed when I can’t get on my pc.
Man, now i'm tempted 😂
😅 sorry
Nice Video 😊
Thanks for the info. Do you need a lot of pc know how and have to do a lot of tweaking to use the steam deck or can you pretty much use it right out of the box? I've always been a console guy and haven't done any pc gaming or know much about it.
To use the Steam Deck in it's primary role as a handheld console, no PC experience is needed. It just takes a bit to learn the Steam interface, just like if you were buying an Xbox or such. But if you're willing to learn a bit more by working with the Linux operating system (somewhat similar interface to Windows 10), you can do a whole lot more just like GG talks about in the video. But there are tons of TH-cam tutorials for whatever you might want to do beyond just playing Steam games on it. Have fun.
@@simcoe8157 Thanks for the reply.
If you use deck verified games from steam all you might need to do is switch proton versions and or controller setup if you don't like the default.
Did the same got a deck 1 month before the oled came out 😂. Thankfully was able to sell the LcD for a good price and put it towards the Oled Limited 😊
Niceee! The OLED limited looks dope, I might consider that one too if I can find it used
About streaming games from PC, Steam has this functionality built in. I don't know if you can use it for non local play, but you can stream games from your PC to your Steam Deck locally at the very least.
Word yea steam link works okay! But I found sunshine and moonlight to be better
