Hello. Which is best the Steam deck oled or the asus rog ally x? I am returning to gaming. I used to play on the playstation 3. however I am looking for a handheld gaming pc to buy. I want to play games like COD GTA assasins creed hogwarts legacy nba etc. Which would you advise? I also do not know much about pc and settings and I am looking to avoid tinkering as much as I can. I am not too concerned with the price and minimal differences in battery lifes as I wont be playing much.

I can open remote when I’m using desktop mode but when I open it in the in-game steam I doesn’t work.. help?

I keep jumping between which one i want to buy, the screen, and especially the bezels on the Ally X throwing me off a bit. The OLED looks incredible, and i think the steam deck feels a bit more comfortable, but the Ally X OS and compatibility with hardware as well makes me lean that way.... help me choose pls

Think most average consumers that just want a console experience will just go with SD... When i need all that power and want to mess with things i just get on my desktop

I dont know about you guys but when I’m on a game on the PS5 thru the déçu, the controls are so messed up. Do you know how to just have the same controls as the PS5?

I bought a HDMI to DisplayPort cord and did exactly what you said in the video and it's still not working I Heard in the video that HDMI doesn't support it. Is this still the case when you buy an adapter?

I still dont understand why so many people like the sd outside if simplicity but that defeats the purpose of pc gaming and it has the worse screen and performance

Sold my steam deck Oled once I got the Ally X. I find everything about it superior. The Oled screen was nice but the vrr screen is great on the Ally. Games just seem to run smoothly

Gotta say the Rog Ally does look alike a quality handheld gaming system. But I instantly fell in love with the Steamdeck Trackpads so smooth and really handy when playing certain games. Sure it needs some tinkering around to play but I’ve learned a fair amount about LINUX also while using.

Only issue I have with swiss is it skips bios start up

The steam deck is capable of playing gta and fortnite perfectly fine if you do a work around just a shame you can’t have them on officially

No gamepass, gog and epic is a no go for me. So windows, always.

I was going to swap my legion go for the ally x but ended up buying the new white sd oled and will just sell my legion go and replace it with redmagic tank 03 for a small discreet gaming pc and keep the steam deck for solo games.

I'm just gonna be honest. The big thing I like about Ally X vs SD OLED is Windows 11, because 🏴‍☠️⛵️. VRR and cheaper M.2 upgrades a close second.

Why are you compairing the 3rd issue of ROG to a 2nd handheld of Valve. Thats is stupid and dumb. In the title alone speak your narrow minded brain. Please dont release half ass video thats not fair in comparison. Stupid video.

Another thing that the ROG Ally X is better at is since its a windows device games anti cheat doesn't apply to it. Unlike the steam deck which means that yu can actually run cod on this. Just metioning this because I have had so many friends choose the ROG over the steam deck for this exact reason

Play games lol. The steamdeck cannot play almost all games at a decent frame rate.

You forgot to mention that The Rog Ally has a PCIe Gen 4×4 and the Steam deck has PCIe Gen 3×4, and this is a huge speed difference.
