It's funny that he keeps saying "interracial marriage has nothing to do with gay marriage". He obviously doesn't know history. People used the exact same arguments, including religious arguments, to try and stop it from becoming legal. In addition , when Roe v Wade was overturned Clarence Thomas wrote we need to also look at the decisions that made interracial and gay marriage legal. He is in an interracial marriage and said this so yes they are linked.
He's obviously had a very selective education. Being aware of the historical truth would destroy his already shaky arguments.

I love it how he ignores the religious groups that were most definitely against interracial marriage. In fact, this was one of the arguments that the state of Virginia brought on Loving v Virginia.

A (straight) friend took me to a drag show at a gay pub in London a few years ago. It was great fun, and the public were a mix of gay and straight people. The atmosphere was so friendly, unlike that of some “normal” pubs I’ve been to.
By that logic, a child getting all exited over potentually taking part in a play is grooming. There is nothing intrinsically sexual about a drag act. My friend from high schools dad would act as the dame in the village pantomime and there was nothing sexual about it. While there is often an element of 'sexy' to drag acts, its usually played for laughs as an over the top character.
In Shakespeare’s time women weren’t allowed to perform on the stage, so all the female roles were played by men. It was exactly for the misogyny of religion that this was the case.

When I was a teenager me and one of my brothers got a dressed up in drag for Halloween. Our mom did our makeup and let us borrow some of her clothes. We made out like bandits that year with candy and had a great time.
A guy in women's cloths has no gay requirement. I know that for people hiding in their little shelters from the storm of reality have a hard time with that but it's true. Maybe it's because they secretly think "that man looks kinda good in that dress." Now they're worried about being cast into a fiery pit because they can't get the image out of their mind.
That's a terrible weight to have hanging over your head for any length of time and some deal with it for huge portions of their lives. I'm not sure who said it first but there is no hate like christian love will always ring true to my ear.

My mom would be saying almost all this same type of stuff about his tattoos. She would be "confused" as to why he felt the need to cover his entire body like that. She would say it was weird and kind of gross and creepy and a cry for attention and inappropriate. And especially for someone in church, much less a pastor, etc., etc. Just saying.

Oddly enough, my husband and I refer to our 30 something friend group as "the kids" because they've all known each other since high school and we passed the 40 mark. Hey I will say this some drag queens are fine as hell when they're in makeup some of them go way too far some of them just wow. This does not mean I'm attracted to men that just means that these men are very good at making themselves not look like men. I'm using the assumption that there are no trans drag queens there are but let's just say there's not and that is all male crossdressers who identify as men. Widowed women typically resided with the families of their adult children, or the adult children simply continued to live in the family home as they began their own family.

@@kellydalstok8900 Jesus did not "keep the Law entirely.He chastised the Jewish leaders for not honoring and respecting their parents-but then when his mother came to visit him he basically put her on the same level as the crowd he was addressing and ignored her.Honoring her would be treating he special and above the people in the crowd.Many of the things(and miracles)he did right under the Pharisees noses when he had not proven to them that he was or even claimed to be that he was the messiah,so what were they supposed to think,when it was their job to protect the people from false prophets and messiahs,of which there were many in those days? Guy don't see how people needing to have their marriage protected in any state, and yes, there are states *cough* Arkansas and Georgia *cough cough* where they have the right to never acknowledge your interracial marriage as a marriage in their state and they actively do/did that exact thing all the time! So yes, the marriage protection act was absolutely necessary for them as well! No matter how you think, they seriously are equally valid and need the protection in the law

Traditional marriage in the Bible usually involved polygamy. Where do we get the nuclear family stuff from?
He whines about how interracial and gay marriages are being "unfairly" linked together, and insists that opposition to one has nothing to do with opposition to the other. Anyone who is the target of such opposition knows better. It's the very, exact same thing. It's hatred of people who are different from you. Marriage is not diminished in the least by being made available to more people. People like him are literally attacking marriage by trying to make it into an exclusive club, instead of what it should be, an option available to any couples (consenting adult Homo sapiens, there's no "slippery slope" here) who want to spend their lives together and have the same legal protections and civil rights as anyone else. No one who previously had had those protections and civil rights is losing any of them by the fact that they are now being extended to more people. But he himself is trying to deny those rights and protections from lgbt people, which is by definition an attack on marriage and on lgbt people.
