Dave the plastic cups 12oz and next size 32oz? . what size tank did you just move her from, and what size is she ? i plan to follow so a big thank you for all your help/videos
Just picked up my first ornamental, P Regalis! Hope to find one of these and a P Metallica soon. I am worried all of my slings and juveniles will end up being males as has been my luck so far haha
Hey Dave, just going through some of your older videos. Could you tell me what spider that is spread out on the front window of the tank just above the lamp head at the 4:00-4:10 mark in the video? Do you have an videos dealing with that particular spider?
Is there a link for these sling enclosures u use ? I haven't seen this type just dram pill bottles. Thanks so much. I thoroughly enjoy your videos. Especially appreciated your expertise and your demeanor when handling spiders.:)
Very impressive Knowledge and handling of this beautiful Spider. It´s too bad that i will not be able to keep Poecilotheria because of Law-Changes in next Year in my Country
I was just given a juvi about 2 - 2 1/2 inches. The set up it’s in (don’t know sex yet) is more terrestrial than arboreal and it’s living under the bark rather than behind. I’m eventually going to move it but it’s nowhere near this calm. It’s quick and defensive. Not looking forward to my rehousing lol.
Do you have chiggers where you are? We have them here... just a walk through the woods gets several chigger bites. I was wondering if you get them when you go to gather your bark, etc.
I have had a fascination with tarantulas since I was a small child. I used to catch black widows and grasshoppers to feed them. I was about nine years old and spiders and bugs where fascinating to me. There are a few breeds of tarantulas that live here in the southwest united states. It seemed like every single rock we looked under, had a black widow and isopods living together in the same space. I saw tarantulas usually in the evening right as the sun was going down. We would also see many tarantulas on porches at night because the lights would attract the insects and there was literally a food chain on everyones porches. I had also witnessed several times, during the evening when it started to cool down, a very large completely black wasp that had orangish yellow wings, dragging a tarantulas to a burrow. This was so sad to me. Not to mention to my 9 year old brain. I wanted to try to save the tarantulas life but I assumed she was already dead. I thought trying totaking here away from the wasp wasZaza WA just a really dumb idea. I started to read and learned more about why the wasps do that to tarantulas. I was horrified to say the least. I did try to stop a wasp from dragging a paralyzed tarantula and the wasp came right back and took the spider back. The tarantula is still just as fascinating to me. I never knew there where so many species of tarantulas. I now have a very healthy amount of respect for the big little creatures. I really enjoy your videos and I just subbed yesterday and now can't stop watching these spiders! I am very impressed at your set up and how gental you are with your spiders. You have so much respect for them. When you have to re-house them. I love that they are. So clean and always have water! Thank you for sharing this opportunity of a lifetime to be able to see.
I absolutely love the Ornamentals though I havent bought one yet. Ive watched their behavior many times and they seem very skittish. Do you consider them to be an advanced collectors spider ?
Very pretty! Looks like shechanges color with the lightning ( I knowshe isn't). It blows my mind how you just put your hand in the tanks. What spider do you think could be the most dangerous?
hugs and kisses, also don't sleep with them in your bed. If they're too small, you might accidentally roll over on them. Also DO NOT FIGHT BACK if threat posed on. They have 8 "legs", but in all honesty it's 2 legs, 6 arms, 2 arms (pedipalps) and 2 dangerous arms (fangs). If a boxer with 0 arms and 2 fangs wanted to fight me I'd DECLINE But I don't own a spider, these are all things I've picked up from watching this channel

Chiggers are demons from hell. I'm in the American South and they are terrible here.
