    How exciting that moment is when you get the precious egg sac out of the tank, full of potential, and carefully tear open the beautiful silk layers to reveal the new lives within.
    And WOW, this mother certainly did you proud! All those weeks she spent guarding her precious brood, resulted in a staggering 115 new lives! Oh, and of course Daddy had a pretty important role too - Apologies to the guys for my oversight, lol!
    This moment, 'the big reveal', never gets old - whatever you find inside that pristine white, silken purse. Mama spiders rock, what an amazing, clean and strong protective container/nursery she painstakingly creates, to keep her babies safe in their most vulnerable, earliest stage of life. And it is that brand new life we see when you finally open the sac, that is so awe inspiring and profound. The multiple 'eggs with legs' or slings, are little miracles, every one.
    You and camera lady must feel like proud parents yourselves, having worked so hard to make these pairings happen successfully (in a safe, controlled environment), and so been responsible for the new lives that followed. Such an achievement, and especially gratifying when you get a bumper result like this.
    Bravo to everyone involved - human and arachnid, lol! A real team effort, and a big success like this one, is very well-deserved. Thanks for sharing it with your viewers Dave, the egg sac removal videos are endlessly fascinating - even on those occasions when the contents are duds! I've gone from spider-phobic to an arachnid fan, all thanks to 'DAVE'S LITTLE BEASTIES', Keep up the excellent work, you fabulous couple! Much love and respect from fans in Gloucestershire. XXX

Captivity is likely the only place where these will be found in some years' time. Thank you for doing your part in keeping these going in the hobby.
    Stay safe and thanks for sharing :)

    Wow Dave!!! What a lovley clutch of eggys with leggys!!! They look really healthy! Here's an idea about feeding your plants... miracle grow makes plant food spike that you stick in with the roots of the plant. As you water it, it slowly dissolves and releases nutrients to the plant. That way your spider dosen't come into contact with it. Just an idea you might be interested in trying!!! You're my absolute favorite keeper! You've taught me so much! Thanks Dave!!😁🥰

    Really enjoyed that Dave. Thank you. Your plant looks very healthy on the whole. As you said your lighting is not quite right. Its leggy from reaching for the light. It may need a warmer spectrum . Yellow rather than the blue white range you have. That plant is actually a good one for terrariums. Wish you would put a mic in Mrs Dave. She sounds like she has a great sense of humour. Good luck with the babies.

    How fortuitous, I'm actually pulling my first Poecilotheria rufilata eggsack this coming Monday. My female has also made an absolutely impressive amount of webbing. She has a buried cork tube that's 8" in diamater and maybe 20" in length and it is SOLID webbing from the mouth of the hide to her chamber all the way in the bottom. Initially, I had a small window into her burrow that I could see her holding the eggsack, but that was quickly sealed up in a matter of days. A very impressive sight indeed.

  • @amandarobb2856
    @amandarobb2856 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Indeed with the leggy plant. I have a superb green thumb and can honestly concur that is part of the issue. Feeding plants is important. However, when a plant grows "leggy" it is reaching high and looking for light. I would perhaps recommend that you look up the plants in question to be sure of how much light it needs. As I am sure you know, plants vary from type of light (direct, indirect etc) and for how long. Something else to consider is many many plants that we keep indoors do go into like a Brumation in the winter. So keep that in mind that it can also be simple the time of the year that is affecting your plants. Even though they are indoor plants, the somehow just seem to "know" it is time to rest. Best wishes and I hope that my input was received with the care, respect and grace it was sent with.
