- The Ricky Nelson Remembered Show featuring Matthew and Gunnar Nelson is wonderful and I highly recommend that you go see the show if you have a chance. They allowed me to video the show and here are some highlights of the show. The actual show is over an hour and a half.

It’s always a treat to hear the raw sound of a live performance .. these boys have always been talented in their own right but it’s impossible not to hear the sweet quality in their voices which comes from their dad.
Yes Ricky Nelson was up there with Elvis Presley and many more singers at that time. I used to skate with all the singers of that time. It was clean songs great songs full of love song words. We need these songs today because kids need those love word songs coming out of their mouths. I was 13 a teen skating. From 13 through 18 was my life at skating ring with all the wonderful songs Elvis and Ricky and so many other singers like what they sang. I would love for these songs come back it will help you g people. Have you all heard a lot of the songs today that teens listen too? It’s blood guts and hate. Bring back the love songs. I love skating today. We had clean songs. The oldies were a wonderful time to be a teenager. Do it again. Thanks

My God those beautiful twins have such smooth velvety voices with much charisma. That show was 110 percent on top. They should take that show around the world. 💯💖
They sure have their dad's talent. Just amazing. Poor Rick didn't deserve to die that way. Prays always.
Ricky Nelson was one of my favorite singers when I was young and I still enjoy listening to his songs today
The last time I seen Rick. Was at the Santa Maria fair years ago.got to talk to him. Just a all out nice guy!! Was at madona inn.whenheard his plane crashed! 😔

Very good, A trip down memory lane for sure. I grew up with Ricky Nelson and this brings back some really great memories. Rock on guys and keep the memory of your dad alive.
Ricky Nelson has been my favorite ever since I was a young boy - at first watching him on the Ozzie and Harriet TV Show - then by buying his Vinyl Record Albums and 45 records. One of my favorite songs that I used to sing was "Teenage Idol". Now in 2014 - I am a 60 years old male and still Love Ricky Nelson. When I ran across this Video Posting at first I was suspicious that the sons were just on a money making fling; but after watching it I believe that Rick's 2 sons really loved their father and really wanted to preserve their Father's music and show more people. Actually if you listed close - I think the sons show quite a lot of similarity in their voices to the older Rick Nelson of the late 70's and 1980's. This was a real pleasure to watch this video. Thank-you for posting it.
Thanks for posting this show and glad his boys are keeping Ricks songs going as they were classic hits,im nearly 71 and although Ozzie and Harriet show was never shown in England i became a fan at 15 when i bought "Poor little fool"went straight out and bought all his earlier hits,Ricks first 2 albums "Ricky" and "Ricky Nelson" i still play a lot as they really are 2 classic r/r albums.Ricky and James Burton ,wow what combo.t.c.AL

YES! I Continue to REMEMBER "RICK NELSON": Around the year 1963, I was in the 5th grade. I became involved with the Rick Nelson fan club; Right about this time, the song: "Fools Rush In" became released in Dayton, Ohio. Also, the Beatles (Music Group) were about to become popular. But I was busy with Rick Nelson. The Rick Nelson fan club was sending me letters and photographs of-and-about RICK. I mean to explain, this was one of the first BIG things that happened in my personal life, that is! At my age, I imagined, I was receiving mail from Rick Nelson (Or at my aged, it seemed to be Rick). The BEATLES (Music Group ) I saw on Television, ... However: "RICK," ... RICK, I not only saw on Television, I also was getting PERSONAL MAIL from, via U.S.Post Office, addressed in my name. And these pictures that Rick sent were 8x10 color glossy photographs with a written letter and autographs. WOW: Big-White cardboard envelope, with Big Post marks from California and ... DO NOT BEND" stamped in Red Ink. Formal Address Label (sticker). I really enjoyed the MUSIC of RICK and the Ozzie and Harriet Show . I even got my brother's guitar out of a storage area (in our home), and started playing guitar (I bought strings and began guitar lessons at a Private Guitar School). I spent much time appreciating RICK's musical talent.

I do have to admire the fact that his 2 sons seem to get along so well together - as many other siblings are always arguing and fighting and end up hating each other.
At the end of this show, if you're really lucky to be at the right one...they bring out younger brother Sam to sing the last song. There is a collective and audible gasp when he starts to sing. It's like Rick Nelson incarnated. Truly amazing as he looks as well as sounds JUST like him. All three boys are incredibly talented musicians and sister Tracy is a talent in her own right. The boys are fun and charming and a testament to their great parents.

That one comment that Rick's son made about him sort of thinking that his father is still out on the road performing and that they are still waiting for him to come home and plop his suit-cases down was awesome and very touching.
Yes, I cried a few times during their tribute. The twins are extremely talented and charismatic.

Eric Hilliard Nelson (May 8, 1940 - December 31, 1985) - known as Ricky Nelson, died 37 years ago today, at the age of 45. He starred alongside his family in the television series, The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet (1952-66), as well as co-starring alongside John Wayne and Dean Martin in Howard Hawks's western feature film, Rio Bravo (1959). He placed 53 songs on the Billboard Hot 100 between 1957 and 1973 including "Poor Little Fool" which holds the distinction of being the first #1 song on Billboard magazine's then-newly created Hot 100 chart. He recorded 19 additional Top 10 hits and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on January 21, 1987. In 1996, he was ranked #49 on TV Guide's 50 Greatest TV Stars of All Time.
Nelson began his entertainment career in 1949 playing himself in the radio sitcom series, The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet. In 1952, he appeared in his first feature film, Here Come the Nelsons. In 1957, he recorded his first single, debuted as a singer on the television version of the sitcom, and released the #1 album entitled Ricky. In 1958, Nelson released his first #1 single, "Poor Little Fool", and in 1959 received a Golden Globe nomination for "Most Promising Male Newcomer" after starring in Rio Bravo. A few films followed, and when the television series was cancelled in 1966, Nelson made occasional appearances as a guest star on various television programs.
Nelson and Sharon Kristin Harmon were married on April 20, 1963, and divorced in December 1982. They had four children: Tracy Kristine, twin sons Gunnar Eric and Matthew Gray, and Sam Hilliard.

Talented musicians. Beautiful voices. I love how they have a scale down show. No additional musicians or vocals, needed. No pyro tech. No dancers. THIS is music at its absolute best. Do you know, they write their own music, too? They do. See their NELSON rock concert.

The last song is a beautiful tribute to their dad. Always makes me cry, especially when I saw them in person here in Oneonta NY. They were so personable, very nice young men and very talented. Would love to see them again.
I would love to see his sons and their show, it's just sad, each day of their lives, they have to remember this sadness of their father's death. And in death, there are no words in the English language to describe its sadness. Because there is no such thing as "time makes it easier" or "time heals that pain"...My heart goes out to Gunnar and Matt and Rick's daughter. I loved his tunes and shows Ozzie & Harriet.

I imagine that it is possible that they had trouble getting people to show up for this, as this is a different generation now - and most young folks don't even know who Ricky Nelson was - or never even heard of the Ozzie and Harriet TV Show. I would imagine most of the audience was filled with older people.
I guess this was a low budget production with just the 2 sons, their guitars, and the movie screens - but it probably would have been a little better if they were backed up by a band or at least a drummer - and maybe a better back-drop than just those dark curtains. But I can't complain too much - as it was a great show.

Not there daddy,don't hear much of them her in the south.but good music and,got to do there on music,ask Hank JR,, tried to do Hank music didn't work,finally he did his own and made it big.
