Great video. I purchased at 2001 model 2 months ago, only travelled 11,000kms. Yes just 11,000kms. I have all the paperwork and have taken it to 2 mechanics where they put it on the hoist and checked under the car and were absolutely amazed as to how original and untouched she is. Def the best vehicle I’ve owned
I have a GS430 Second Generation - V8-powered with 300HP and looks just like this Toyota in this video... runs so smooth and is my daily driver in the traffic packed streets of Los Angeles - no matter how powerful the engine would be - it would not be optimal for me in my surroundings but my GS-430 is so reliable that I think I can easily hit 300k miles on the odometer
@@doublesnotroubles there are plenty of a340 auto boxes doing 11s, and even low to mid 10s on e85. My own box has been doing 10s for nearly 10yrs. Seems to be holding up...granted an a340 behind a torquier 2JZ would be extra stress, a conservative tune to ensure torque levels aren't too high is easy enough for longevity reasons. Lol. Maybe not love it, but in a majority of cases they're a very strong box compared to most, and when they've been looked after they can handle quite a lot of extra power.
@@doublesnotroubles check out the FullBoost channel they had one on very recently with a stock box that ran 9's ill try find it. The reason they hold alotta horsepower is the throttle actually snaps shut for a split second when shifting even if dont lift your foot (i assume to stop over boosting). th-cam.com/video/pNjq3XJEzNg/w-d-xo.html car also has stock rear end. They are built tough

I got 2002 aristo, and runs smooth like butter, easy to maintain, and i really enjoy long drive with it, 480hp daily drive and never have any issues or so whatever 🙌

@@rodm2345 Sorry for the late reply. Depends on where you live. I went through a company that sourced the car from the auctions for me, and did all the paperwork, registering the car for me and so on.
The manual mode of the box is a bit annoying. If you have it in 3rd and plant your foot, it automatically kicks down. So what you're actually selecting is the highest gear the auto will be in haha.
I didn't realise when filming this but i know what your saying.. recently filmed another toyots from this era and had paddle shifters.. but would only limit the gears not actually control them.. very dumb

I tossed up buying one of these, instead of my IS350-F Sport... But I already have a 550rwhp 6 Speed manual Toyota Soarer, so I figured buying another JZ-powered car would be bad for me because I couldn't resist the temptation to modify it. Sometimes, I think 'Should I sell the 350?' but fuel economy and already having a heavily boosted JZ car come to mind.

Big fan of the channel but I don’t think it’s very ethical that this dealership in Perth you speak highly of bought this car from an Adelaide dealership for about $22k and then have it for sale for $35k from memory. The car also was originally blue, and had a fairly average respray.
I have no idea what they got this car for.. car looked mint.. People complain about prices but no other dealership comes close in Perth for average enthusiasts
I have slowly notice more hype around these cars (also the crowns and magestas), which is sick asf but also raises the prices. No one that i know, knows what this car is or what engine it has. Been wanting this car for over a year now, but its so caddayum hard to find and when ever i do find em they are often ages away from me. Plan on importing one early next year if everything goes to plan
@@RossReviewsau I have 3 sitting in Japan '00, '02, '03 ( '03 Tom's ) I didn't want anything older and found those 3 1/2 years ago all for a grand total of...$32,456.79 to be exact, the Tom's was 13k plus by itself. Overall by time I receive them it will be about roughly 50k overall for storage, maintenance, and shipping. The way I see it, I'll get to keep one and sell the other two for somewhere between 60-70k give or take 5k-10k.

They’re honestly not rare , tons were produced. Lots of cool shit came out in the 90s and they were just overshadowed by all the Mainstream jdm hero cars. Which for me was a good thing, I was able to score a factory turbo jz car for dirt cheap 🤝🤝
Dam 6kw and 70nm more than my Volvo, S80 T6 2.8L twin turbo 2002. Big, luxury car. The Volvo goes mate and it's got a manual mode. This Toyota is fantastic for a big luxury car it would go like the clappers and was cheaper. I would of paid around mid $90s to just under $100k in 2002 if I remember right , it wasn't over the $100k I remember that lol, but that was with basically every option in it. Lol this thing and the Volvo can lose your licence very fast. The speed you can do in these kind of car's and not even realise it is amazing. You really need to pay attention to the Speedo. On open road's you can relax and look down and you are over 140kmph without even trying. Cruise control is super useful 🤫😁👍💗 lol talking about gearing the Volvo won't change into 4th gear until you hit about 203kmph if you are flat flooring it. 😁 Not that I would ever do that haha.
@@RossReviewsau you would love it man, for a luxury car! it's one of the most comfortable car's you can get. I think it's 0 to 100 is in low 7 second's so it's not a rocket ship but its fast, enough and will pull 270kmp top speed. They do have issues though. The gearbox is known for failing (if you don't look after them, sometimes even if you do lol. In 2004 they fixed that) The steering is very soft/easy but I don't really find it bad. But in saying that maybe I have gotten used to it. It's soft. I have seen a few American videos of them that are ok, but still don't have the options I got in mine. There is an executive spec you can get, but not in Australia 😭 it has tv and fridge and no middle rear seat and blinds on the door windows as well. Mine has the rear window blind but not the ones in the door's. Hopefully you can find one, I'd love to see that review. 🙂 Don't do the 2.9L that a different game altogether 👍

Two entirely different cars with two different purposes. The Aristo is literally a Supra sedan. The Aurion is a family sedan. Even comparing stock examples the Aristo will beat the Aurion in power, handling dynamics, build quality and comfort.

Cheap high mount setup, ecu, upgraded torque converter + valve body, fuel system...easy high 10s/low 11s. Box and motor would love it.
