@@funkaydonkey they’re still very cheap considering the prices of other jdm s like skylines etc. but in benefit they have a 2jz GTE with triptronic which imo is still very fun to drive I own two of them. Aristo are for sure 100% underrated

I've always had a thing for full size JDM sedans. If I was forced to sell my Altezza for something else it'd be an Aristo, or a Crown, or a JZX110, or a Laurel.
I have a GS430 Second Generation - V8-powered with 300HP and looks just like this Toyota in this video... runs so smooth and is my daily driver in the traffic packed streets of Los Angeles - no matter how powerful the engine would be - it would not be optimal for me in my surroundings but my GS-430 is so reliable that I think I can easily hit 300k miles on the odometer
These cars can do a bit of everything to Max orido drifting on back then, vip builds, track car, reliable dailys all the way to 704 garage making one into a time attack car .
There are 4 GS300s around that are stance cars. I die inside every time I hear them scrape. The 4th guy is in my neighborhood. I think he ran out of money for his build. It's been on jack stands for at least 6 months now. He has an intercooler and piping started. I've contemplated knocking on his door to see what he'll let it go for and save that shit, turning it into a clean ass big body build so many times.
Jzs161 is a good chassis for the price compared with a chaser/mark ii or even a supra just need to keep in mind the acive rear diff- can be swapped for a gs300 diff and hard to find lsd for but trd do make a lsd for it and the 6 speed 350z or r154 manual conversion is tricky especially if you want a clean look, there are european companies doing DCT gearboxes which is another good option.
I love the 2jz like everyone else but I ended up buying gs400 for the v8 and stock 300hp, the maintenance on a turbo car and all the small things that go wrong with them kind of put me off (had a 4efte and a 3sgte) , this v8 is amazingly smooth very peppy and nice open engine bay without a bunch of intercooler piping or turbos I have had an is300 and loved that car but wish it had more power and apparently a safe tune on a stock n/a 2jz is around 300hp
My Toyota aristo came with the 4speed tiptronic automatic. With the button shift. 2jzgte vvti jzs161 with the sunroof and everything I loved it. But I sold it for $1500USD and regretted it because nothing was wrong with it at all.
