Export versions always are. The JDM cars have ignition cut-out at 180km/h, UK cars needed to cope with autobahn use so have taller diff ratio with oil cooler and 180mph top speed. Export models of RB32 Skyline GTR and Series 6 Mazda RX-7 were better too as they were built to ADR (Australian Design Rule) regulations. Only Honda had better JDM cars with factory limited-slip differentials and higher HP and styling tweaks.

Series power for USA/Europe: 320hp with 3,0l twin-turbo engine and 0-100km/h - 5,3s. No glory. Bmw e46 m3 - 3,2l no turbo with 338hp and 0-100km/h - 5,1s. Supra is legend for fanboys for me only standard sport car.

These cars, tuned and with custom body kits turn way more heads than a Lambo or other exotic cars. Especially in Cyprus, they are SUPER rare. Much respect.

Depends where you live mustanglvr007, if you have a completely stock supra around here nobody cares. They will list 50 mods you need to do to improve the car. Tbh the supra is pretty rubbish standard, mine was stock for 2 weeks.

It's the race traction control holding back the engine output. It's not the factory TX that kills all power, but race TC actually tapers power back until the back tires can find traction. They are also on wet road. Without that traction control the car would be spinning tires non stop(would most likely in the dry as well). Also the owner probably wouldn't lend it to him without TC. These cars are actually relatively tame at 1000hp with TC. Without it they are all over the place.

I think the Mk4 will keep its price due to it being the last analogue or being the true Toyota Supra. BMW Supra isn't quite what people looked for considering their history of reliability. BMW and Toyota are on complete other ends when it comes to reliability.

I think one important thing to point out is that 75% of supras are less than 230hp. No one really ever thinks about that 30000 supras are NA. None the less, wicked car and I'm about to buy one! But still 🤔
Everybody always talks about these cars as if they're the best thing since sliced bread but the truth is the stock car is fairly lackluster, you're not getting 1000hp out of them or anything near that on stock engine internals and without spending tens of thousands of dollars on it. And with tens of thousands spent on a car, all forged engine internals, all new engine head, intake, exhaust, massive turbo etc you can make 1000hp out of any half decent engine block.
@@BigUriel Well as someone who bought a Supra TT UK model in 1994, I can tell you that the car was anything but lackluster, especially back then, it was an absolute beast even in standard form, let alone when you stuck a few hundred pound at it. . I sold my Sapphire Cosworth 4x4 that was chipped to over 330bhp to buy this and everyone knows how famous they were for getting BHP fairly cheaply, well i aint seen nothing till the Supra. straight out of the box you could feel how powerful it was & that's coming from a lighter 4x4 motor with around the same horse power, which even on a stage 2 conversion could beat anything on the road in the mid 90's. After a few months it was booked in at a place called Well Lane turbos,which was the only rolling road and decent tuning company in West Yorkshire back then. When they strapped the standard Supra to the rollers it did 342bhp standard, nearly 20 BHP over standard. Mechanic wasted hours checking parts to see if they'd been uprated. I spent about 1000 quid and it if I can remember right .it was about 490bhp and all on stock internal, just a chip change, exhaust, uprated injectors and one or two other things but nothing major, You didn't have to seriously mess around with the internals, forging etc unless you started going over 600Bhp and then it all became a bit pointless because you couldn't get the power down in the 1st gear if it was damp.. The Skyline Gtr33 and 34 were the same, cost you next to nothing to stick another 100/150bhp on them, the R34 GTR V_spec was one of my favorite cars back then but were rocking horse shit to get a decent one on grey import. . There's been very few cars that came so purposely under powered than that 2JZ UK Twin Turbo car just so tuners could have a field day. i mean it was only a matter of a a few years till that company Top Secret broke 1000 hp in one and brought it over to the UK then did 230 odd mph it, now that did cost 10's of thousands.
Just like in any other car it depends on how you use it. If its racing car and you ride it on a drag races vary frequently it will live less, if you use it as a daily car and sometimes smoke someone on a road it will live like stock Supra or even longer. Anyways you can always just buy a new cylinder block if you somehow worn out it’s 500k km resource

It's the race traction control holding back the engine output. It's not the factory TX that kills all power, but race TC actually tapers power back until the back tires can find traction. They are also on wet road. Without that traction control the car would be spinning tires non stop(would most likely in the dry as well). Also the owner probably wouldn't lend it to him without TC. These cars are actually relatively tame at 1000hp with TC. Without it they are all over the place.

I think the Mk4 will keep its price due to it being the last analogue or being the true Toyota Supra. BMW Supra isn't quite what people looked for considering their history of reliability. BMW and Toyota are on complete other ends when it comes to reliability.
Toyota made some additional changes to the BMW engine to make it more reliable.
Lol you’re a moron, the B58 is an even better and more reliable version of the N55, they’re both beastly engines and easily give the 2J a run for it’s money, opposite ends on reliability my ass, have yet to see anything about the new Z4 or the B58 being unreliable.
I think one important thing to point out is that 75% of supras are less than 230hp. No one really ever thinks about that 30000 supras are NA. None the less, wicked car and I'm about to buy one! But still 🤔

Everybody always talks about these cars as if they're the best thing since sliced bread but the truth is the stock car is fairly lackluster, you're not getting 1000hp out of them or anything near that on stock engine internals and without spending tens of thousands of dollars on it.
And with tens of thousands spent on a car, all forged engine internals, all new engine head, intake, exhaust, massive turbo etc you can make 1000hp out of any half decent engine block.
@@BigUriel Well as someone who bought a Supra TT UK model in 1994, I can tell you that the car was anything but lackluster, especially back then, it was an absolute beast even in standard form, let alone when you stuck a few hundred pound at it. . I sold my Sapphire Cosworth 4x4 that was chipped to over 330bhp to buy this and everyone knows how famous they were for getting BHP fairly cheaply, well i aint seen nothing till the Supra. straight out of the box you could feel how powerful it was & that's coming from a lighter 4x4 motor with around the same horse power, which even on a stage 2 conversion could beat anything on the road in the mid 90's.
After a few months it was booked in at a place called Well Lane turbos,which was the only rolling road and decent tuning company in West Yorkshire back then. When they strapped the standard Supra to the rollers it did 342bhp standard, nearly 20 BHP over standard. Mechanic wasted hours checking parts to see if they'd been uprated. I spent about 1000 quid and it if I can remember right .it was about 490bhp and all on stock internal, just a chip change, exhaust, uprated injectors and one or two other things but nothing major,
You didn't have to seriously mess around with the internals, forging etc unless you started going over 600Bhp and then it all became a bit pointless because you couldn't get the power down in the 1st gear if it was damp.. The Skyline Gtr33 and 34 were the same, cost you next to nothing to stick another 100/150bhp on them, the R34 GTR V_spec was one of my favorite cars back then but were rocking horse shit to get a decent one on grey import. .
There's been very few cars that came so purposely under powered than that 2JZ UK Twin Turbo car just so tuners could have a field day. i mean it was only a matter of a a few years till that company Top Secret broke 1000 hp in one and brought it over to the UK then did 230 odd mph it, now that did cost 10's of thousands.
But stock supras are like 900-1000hp everybody knows this

i mean considering that they probably tuned the engine to withstand that much horsepower, its probably the same as any other car.
Just like in any other car it depends on how you use it. If its racing car and you ride it on a drag races vary frequently it will live less, if you use it as a daily car and sometimes smoke someone on a road it will live like stock Supra or even longer. Anyways you can always just buy a new cylinder block if you somehow worn out it’s 500k km resource
