Hi. I have a seven year old daughter with closed comedonal acne.
So I would wash her face in the morning and at night with the cleanser and then mix the last two products and let her sleep with them on in the night?

@@shavonnehenchell7731 I would not mix. Definitely go for a Salicylic Acid and id be careful also on using 2 and 3 for children, most people cant really answer if its long term safe for a literal child.
@@shavonnehenchell7731I would not recommend using retinoid for your child because it can destroy your child’s skin barrier and is not used for 12 year olds or below
cerave SA cleanser for normal to oily skin, differin gel adapalene, ordinary azelaic acid. adapalene takes 12 weeks to see results so be patient, and it can be drying and burning (pain). You should start with only azelaic acid (only takes 2 weeks to see results and not as drying), and if that isnt enough then go for adapalene, but remember to use moisturizer. and sunscreen@@shavonnehenchell7731

Great timing Dr Dray! This video speaks to me. Summer heat and humidity make me very oily and closed-comedone prone. The struggle is real!
What have helped: eat whole foods, up my bentonite clay mask to 3-4x/wk, Benzoyl Peroxide wash and Adapalene gel, lightweight gel moisturizer and SPF. (strange...I haven't been able to tolerate SA cleanser around my nasal folds and mouth area).

You talk a lot about common allergens, cross-reactions, etc., but could you explain what contact allergies are (like, what is going on in the skin?), what cross-reactions are, whether contact allergies are ever connected to food allergies or seasonal allergies, etc.? It sounds like some ingredients are “sensitizing”-could you explain what that means and whether/how it relates to contact allergies?

Omg THANKYOU for this video! I randomly get little bumps on my forehead that are just the color of my skin. Super tiny and only noticeable when I angle my forehead a certain way under a light. I could not figure out what they were with everything I was googling. It was driving me crazy! So thankyou thankyou thankyou!
Love the video! Great info and very clear! My main question is how long should we expect to see results? I’ve used a salicylic acid cleanser and benzoyl peroxide leave on treatment for over two months now and I haven’t seen any improvement with my closed comedomes. Do I just need to stay consistent or is it time to try something new?

You could always check with your child's doctor as they should be more than able to answer these questions.

I just started using salicylic acid gel cleanser 5 days ago. It was from a Korean brand called Skinfood. I wasn't expecting a lot from it since it was just a facial wash but I was so surprised at how it helped dry out my cystic acne, loosened closed comedones and "fungal acne". Unfortunately, I have all three as I live in a hot, humid, climate. So yes, salicylic acid face wash can work wonders.

Thank you you have been a god send to me. I have teenagers all with different skin conditions. You help me incredibly with my son’s severe eczema and he also had quite bad cystic acne. We got prescription for the acne and eczema but I incorporated your recommendation too. My daughter has those little whiteheads all over her forehead that this video talks of. Apart from that she has beautiful skin. I will try the recommendation you made as I did for my sons skin which has vastly improved. Do you have any videos or reccomendations for sports related hygiene gor teens? My son is playing football and I'm wondering about the sweaty helmut, pads, uniforms adding to breakouts. Salicylic acid and benzoyle peroxide destroyed my skin and made my acne worse as well as painful. Glycolic acid is also to harsh for daily use. Niacinamide and hormonal birth control have had the best results. I literally tried everything. I even went to dermatologists for years and spent tons of money on Accutane, chemical peels, and many other treatments that gave me no relief.
Yaa i breakout after using salicylic. Cyst acne made it hard to wash my face

@@Sam-or6dy The ordinary serum did wonders for me. It was the first niacinamide product I tried. It worked so well and was so affordable I haven't tried anything else.
