I feel like never explicitly said that bootstrapping is taking alllll the items in my dataset, which basically would look like a bag of (Rare, Common, Rare, Uncommon, Epic) picking one of those rarities, writing it down, putting it back, then picking again until you get to the size of the original dataset. That's how you create a bootstrapping "sample". I did that 1M times - rebuilding the original dataset by picking rarities - (and 50, 1K, 10K, and more...) to get the estimates. Please let me know if you have any questions.
love this I've made thousands in a day before and seem to be super lucky with it pulling a legendary about every 5 to 6 pulls . i was like this cant be like this for everyone and why is no one talking about it then run across this hahaha stay looted my friend!!
Thanks for the recommendation! I’ve seen dndprices and it’s a neat tool, but I take a slightly different approach based on my own methods. Hopefully one day I'll be able to share it with you all!
I'm sorry to hear you had a hard time hearing me, I'll try to pay closer attention to the balance going forward. Thanks for the feedback, I really appreciate it. Only way to get better is to know these things.
I'm going to go over it in the next video but it's an app I put together to help track the data. I answer this a bit more thoroughly on another comment thread on this video if you want to check it out. Thanks for watching!
I have a bunch of code that supports my data collecting desires, the program I have up while gambling is something I wrote, and the file is named tracker.py. So, it's python code, and specifically it's a streamlit application, which is just a way to build simple web apps using python. There are other frameworks like flask, Django, or dash, which are more full stack frameworks; streamlit is the simple, more on-the-rails means of creating simple web apps in python. I've had number of questions about the gui I have up when I'm doing the gambling, so I'm thinking I'll go over the app in my next video since it's such an integral part of the data collection process. I have a good idea of how to go through it, but if there's any questions you have up front that you want the answer to, it might help me answer more people's questions when I make the video. Thanks for the feedback, by the way, I really appreciate the engagement and conversation. And don't worry, I have plenty more stats to come. :) pretty happy with some of the yet-to-be-seen charts.

New vids have been great. Keep it up ked!
Appreciate that big time Mr. Steez, thank you.
Love the analysis, music does make it a little hard to follow along
Thank you! More to come. Is it just the volume of music that's a little distracting? It's good to hear feedback, so thanks for taking the time.
@@CashBaggins volume for sure. Made it hard to understand
Good vid, keep it up
Thank you! Thanks for watching :)
If you are pulling and selling so many items, maybe the tool on dndprices might help for calculating the sell prices (not affiliated)

videos cool, if only the devs cared as much about their game as you do
I'm sure the devs are passionate about their game, but I'll agree with you in that they sometimes surprise me. Thanks for tuning in.
