Deepwoken, honestly, is SUPER HARSH for new players. I remember my first days, being all alone and just dying over and over and over again... but I persisted. What kept me going was not some promise of "itll be fun later, trust me bro" or blackmail, no. It was the ambience of the Game, the Music, the exploration. Discovering new things in Deepwoken feels so great and satisfying, even to this day, (Ive been playing for almost a year now) Im still discovering new things. Only today have I killed my first Bone Keeper. Honestly, this game isnt for everyone, but you should give it a bit more time, since to enjoy it you need to be a bit more skilled
Despite playing the game for so long I have to agree that shadovis is absurdly unskilled. It's just flashier and has better movement than some RPGs like "lords of the multiverse" or "universal RPG" that use the droplet kit. Other than that, all it is... Is just a bandit beater to become godhood

You should play Lore Game if you haven't already. Its by far my favorite game and super underrated, keep in mind that its pretty hard to travel through the game because theres lots of parkour and usually nobody will show you where things are.

I am one of the feed memebrs of vesteria, It's by all honesty, 90% p2w, unfair developer events, and no updates as well as no vfx rework nor anything, so honestly they deserve It ngl.

However, I will admit that the bosses are very boring, the world is well designed, mechanics are great, but the bosses are so lazily made. They don't really have any good attack moves and aren't difficult at all, if the bosses were properly made it would be insanely good. Also it's boring for beginners I'd say, theres no intro cutscenes, theres no guidance on what to do. They just spawn you in and have you run around hitting mushrooms with left click for hours. Only experienced players know to just skip past them and level up properly to get access to the good skills so you dont spam left click. But the biggest issue with vesteria I'd say is the devs themselves. They promise an update and don't deliver, they make their players wait years and then they don't give the promised update and instead give some random halloween or christmas update. Also they completely destroyed their own economy multiple times, the devs wiped out the players characters and inventories because they were bored, they made the game pay to win too. Also for people without a good pc, the game is insanely buggy. They only made the game for good pcs. Anyone on mobile or with a bad pc, it's just unplayable.
Should cover arcane lineage it’s a action RPG hardcore(3 lives per playthrough) with turn based combat, and the enemies spawn like how it does in Pokémon where you can just be walking to a destination and randomly get attacked when you get in your first encounter the enemy ALWAYS attacks first so make sure to be prepared there different classes which are all mage, martial artist,swordsman,a person with a dagger(don’t know it’s class name) and spearsman
I have been playing deepwoken since release day and I agree with this a lot of my friends who started playing deepwoken didn’t find it fun because they were always getting killed and never knew what to do so they were very bored playing it but now after playing for a while they have found the game very fun
Yo try stasis it’s really fun but it sometimes gets confusing at first, but when you play for like a little bit more, you’ll understand the gameplay highly recommend you try it out
1) 5 bucks for a game as good as Deepwoken, with no paid DLCs, no gamepass or subscription-based purchases is ridiculous. You could find horrible games compared to deepwoken but because they're not on roblox nobody complains when they're sold at 30$. The paid access feature exists for a reason. If they make what most people consider the objectively best game (in terms of content, gameplay, development, etc) on the platform, I think the devs well earned the right to put a price on it. 2) It's perfectly fine to not like Deepwoken, but if you bought a game before even knowing a little about what kind of game it was, then that's on you. it's like someone said they bought Portal because it has a gun and they like FPS games, they didn't like it. So the problem must be Portal costing money.
@@senbiche There is a tutorial explaining m1s, critical attacks, parrying, equipment, and training items. It also gives you a free move. Talents and mantras usually are explained by themselves pretty well. For the rest, I think it's fair that you have to discover places, advanced mechanics and items by yourself. And also, I'll say it again, you were warned. If you buy a game that litteraly says in the description "Little to no handholding", and then you complain that there are almost no instructions, that's not the game's fault.

The only critical flaw in Deepwoken is that there is no tutorial. In fact, there is a tutorial, but it is simply worth playing with a friend and you will have a better experience. I think it is very unfair that Deepwoken is a game in the "D" category, considering it is probably the best RPG on Roblox. Anyway, I don't feel like explaining the reasons, but that's it.

First time I played Deepwoken even without the quest that they give you now when you create a new character, I just explored till I found the island with basic enemies, now I don't really think it's that hard because there's not only the classic tutorial but also some more stuff to teach you. You might need to watch a guide for some stuff tho. Forgive me for my English it ain't my first language
the only problem pilgrammed has is that the enemies hitboxes are broken, like bandits hit you from 5 meters with a dagger, and the parry mechanic is also broken, it has an approximative 0.2sec delay (i hope this is from the server that is laggy and not intentional) and the timing required is weird, in other games you need to activate the blocking function right before the enemy hits you, and the parry timing window opens right as you start blocking and closes shortly after(around 0.5 sec after), but in pilgrammed, the parry timing windows is open after the blocking animation is finished and then closes like 1sec later, which kinda makes pilgrammed parrying a prediction based parry where you try to predict if the enemy is going to attack so that you can start the blocking before he attacks to fulfill the weird parrying conditions of pilgrammed
You should try out derelict it’s an RPG game except just so you know there’s fall damage and the menu screen is a troll. The only difficulty is extreme difficulty.
Pillgrammed is my personal favorite. You actually have to play instead of just gamepasses. its fun too they dont trap you in a certain place for 10 hours
A bit late to the party but finally someone talks about Pilgrammed. It's one of the best games on the platform and my personal favorite roblox game. It has such a unique armor / stat system and does so many things right that many games can't do nowadays. It has a bestiary, lots of customizable setting options, fun gameplay (besides guns...) it just does everything so well. I think the combat could be a bit better and its a bit tedious at times (looking at you catacombs), but other than that it is a great game overall and I'm glad you talked about it in this video. Side note deepwoken is very fun but as mentioned it has an absolutely terrible beginning experience. Losing your character permanently also isn't for everyone but I'd definitely recommend trying to get further in the game.

Rating Periastron Stars RPG so low is a crime, it isn’t a game that is supposed to follow the “Modern” Roblox RPGs but instead the “Traditional” Roblox RPGs, anyone who has played Infinity RPG or other traditional Roblox RPGs know how good the game is. What I’m saying is that when reviewing Periastron Stars RPG, change the perspective to reviewing it as a Traditional Roblox RPG, which in that case makes it an S-Tier, also it’s not that boring or bad, the game is actually really good, it’s more chill and a good community.
Arcane Lineage is a good RPG game, it’s turn-based which is a really unique mechanic. The thing is it has a lot of bugs and problems, its developers also gave up on it. Fortunately they gave the game to a new dev team that’s actually dedicated to it😮

The main dev for deepwoken said he wanted player to figure out the world and the game on there own and not to hold their hand which i think is cool. I started pillgrammed as my first rpg game like long time ago, i switched to deepwoken because i already had every single badge and can solo even unfair fight, and i thinked, that deepwoken would be the same thing! WRONG!! because in deepwoken the parry time is really tight and there's a big difference of dificulty, but because i played pillgrammed i could manage to kill a bat and 3 bandits on my first playthrough, obviously i had to learn how to parry more things like a megalodaunt, u have to practice a LOT, I MEAN A LOT to dominate deepwoken, because there's a thing called chime of conflict or voidwalkers that 1 or 2, ur chased by black things to death (not always) or u can force urself to get absolutely destroyed in pvp, and forces u to search builds or create one, SO U CAN ATLEAST handle a little bit the big difference of skill in pvp EVEN AT 600-700 ELO (u start whit 800)
wanna know more? no cabinet run basically restrict you to no armour accessories and skills so you gotta be really good to not get killed everytime in the late game but it's fun! like actually fun! I completed it and just give a good blend of fun and challenging!
Deepwoken actually gives you quest to go to the 1st island for progression if you talk to the 1st npc you meet with one of the top options with a marker how to get a boat and where to go and deepwoken is not holding your hand for a reason if you just get told do this do that or quests like slay 20 of these the gameplay gets repetative or you don't feel like you achived a lot bc the game handholds you the whole time and ye deepwoken isn't perfect for things like balancing but it is still a quality game and the deepwoken ones may feel bad if you play in wrong regions like if you are eu player and you play in usa servers
As a deepwoken player it was hard in the beginning but i had it lighter everyone was nice to me and taught me how to play, also gave me aton of loot, now thatnks to them im goated
Deepwoken is meant to be confusing. It's fuck around and figure it out ahh game. If you understand the basic and where to go this game is above Pilgrammed I am not saying Pilgrammed is bad game but fighting normal enemy is lackluster and some bosses are not well thought out.
considering the amount of lore the game has (a ton), players are encouraged to explore and find out about the world, but at the same time new players are directly punished from not knowing how to pvp from the moment they played the game for the first time, cuz voidwalkers

Aka like a guide or quest or pointer for example. But if you just go through the areas you will find out for yourself. It’s right there. im pretty sure its more of a preference thing, i have like 250 hours on pilgrammed and 100 hours on deepwoken, the reason i liked pilgrammed was because of the vast variety of builds i can make, but once i found deepwoken which has 100x more build variety i completely quit pilgrammed
Deepwoken doesn’t really have a story line. It’s more like a player ability build game but requires effort. That’s basically my analysis. The bosses are fun but it requires a lot of googling and etc and trying out new bosses on ur character as a normal build is risky so you’d have to make several builds for pvp, bounty hunting, pve and more. It’s a great game but not really any main objective but to look cool and have a feel of souls + rogue experience.

@@Quasho. :salute: dont get me wrong the tutorial doesn't give you everything but it's a good start. if you do play more deepwoken, try talking to more NPC's they'll especially the one at the inn who will guide you to the starter island via quest marker, while ill admit theres a lot you do on your own on deepwoken it doesn't give you many pointers, thats apart of the exploration factor.
I know deepwoken has the worst learning curve but you got to try Rogue Lineage, that game is the worst when it came to learning and trying to survived. Because when you die, there is no going back other than find a god damn pseudo artifacts to get your life back otherwise you wiped.
the first prog of deepwoken is to explore the world first. You can progressively get better when you lose a life When you get wiped aka lost all your lives. Theres a npc there that can show you the tutorial

I played deepwoken the first time and it was absolutely amazing, I legit felt like an adventurer wandering a vast world. I had no prior experience and did not watch a single deepwoken vid till I hit 10 hours on the game. It was hella fun, sure I could never escape the depths and sure I wasn’t good at fighting bandits. But what I learned about deepwoken is that it’s trial and error, you will die hundreds of times but eventually you’ll get to the point where surviving is relatively easy. what I’m tryna say is, deepwoken is a good game, you just have to start the game and learn how to stuff in your own, and then explore the vast world. In the vid you legit did not go anywhere but 2 places when there are tons and tons of locations Good list though, I agree with everything on the list except for obviously deepwoken as it has better combat, map, content, and basically everything else compared to the rest of the list besides beginning friendliness
You sound like you had fun and an unnatural affinity for this game. That’s what the footage showed for quality, but I assure you there’s an hour and a half of cut out footage when I used my boat and when to different islands and died and stuff
I have 1.3k hours on deepwoken now, after the 500 hour mark it got boring because nothing could wipe me. its fun tho cause deepwoken has so much freaking content its insane, players that enjoy more difficult games (fans of sekiro or dark souls) will enjoy it a lot more than those looking for a casual experience.
Just block, parry, dodge, and have a brother that has played the game since the release and knows everything about the game. It's not that hard. EDIT: I played Pilgrammed and met a really nice guy, he helped get through the first area, what a great community!

Quite a lot of comments also say that this game is extremely hard in early game, but fun later, but I didn’t have time to get to later parts where it got to that point. The only critical flaw in Deepwoken is that there is no tutorial. In fact, there is a tutorial, but it is simply worth playing with a friend and you will have a better experience.
I think it is very unfair that Deepwoken is a game in the "D" category, considering it is probably the best RPG on Roblox. Anyway, I don't feel like explaining the reasons, but that's it.
The tutorial teaches you every single crucial mechanic.

First time I played Deepwoken even without the quest that they give you now when you create a new character, I just explored till I found the island with basic enemies, now I don't really think it's that hard because there's not only the classic tutorial but also some more stuff to teach you. You might need to watch a guide for some stuff tho.

the only problem pilgrammed has is that the enemies hitboxes are broken, like bandits hit you from 5 meters with a dagger, and the parry mechanic is also broken, it has an approximative 0.2sec delay (i hope this is from the server that is laggy and not intentional) and the timing required is weird, in other games you need to activate the blocking function right before the enemy hits you, and the parry timing window opens right as you start blocking and closes shortly after(around 0.5 sec after), but in pilgrammed, the parry timing windows is open after the blocking animation is finished and then closes like 1sec later, which kinda makes pilgrammed parrying a prediction based parry where you try to predict if the enemy is going to attack so that you can start the blocking before he attacks to fulfill the weird parrying conditions of pilgrammed
Pilgrimmed is a little grindy at the start, but farther HOLY GOD it's awesome!!!

Pillgrammed is my personal favorite. You actually have to play instead of just gamepasses. its fun too they dont trap you in a certain place for 10 hours
A bit late to the party but finally someone talks about Pilgrammed. It's one of the best games on the platform and my personal favorite roblox game. It has such a unique armor / stat system and does so many things right that many games can't do nowadays. It has a bestiary, lots of customizable setting options, fun gameplay (besides guns...) it just does everything so well. I think the combat could be a bit better and its a bit tedious at times (looking at you catacombs), but other than that it is a great game overall and I'm glad you talked about it in this video.
Side note deepwoken is very fun but as mentioned it has an absolutely terrible beginning experience. Losing your character permanently also isn't for everyone but I'd definitely recommend trying to get further in the game.

Rating Periastron Stars RPG so low is a crime, it isn’t a game that is supposed to follow the “Modern” Roblox RPGs but instead the “Traditional” Roblox RPGs, anyone who has played Infinity RPG or other traditional Roblox RPGs know how good the game is.
What I’m saying is that when reviewing Periastron Stars RPG, change the perspective to reviewing it as a Traditional Roblox RPG, which in that case makes it an S-Tier, also it’s not that boring or bad, the game is actually really good, it’s more chill and a good community.

Arcane Lineage is a good RPG game, it’s turn-based which is a really unique mechanic. The thing is it has a lot of bugs and problems, its developers also gave up on it. Fortunately they gave the game to a new dev team that’s actually dedicated to it😮
deepwoken is a hell for beginners but it is a good game i bought it cuz my friend said it was great i paid 400 robux and i didnt understand a shit at first i also quit cuz it was too hard and no sense of direction but after a month i didnt have anything to play roblox was a dead land of simulator and dating games so i had to play somethin so i tried playing deepwoken cuz i paid for it and it had like 20k players online everytime so i thaught how bad can it be i watched many guides and progression guides it took me 2 days to understand the game but believe me its a really op game no roblox rpg even come closer in comparing to it and it now has beginner guide also and deepwoken is for sure S tier you just need to give the game some time
The main dev for deepwoken said he wanted player to figure out the world and the game on there own and not to hold their hand which i think is cool.

I’m surprised that neither him or the comments even said a thing about Fantastic Frontier (that’s my favorite game on roblox and I thought that Pilgrammed might’ve taken some inspiration from very small aspects of it possibly)
I started pillgrammed as my first rpg game like long time ago, i switched to deepwoken because i already had every single badge and can solo even unfair fight, and i thinked, that deepwoken would be the same thing! WRONG!! because in deepwoken the parry time is really tight and there's a big difference of dificulty, but because i played pillgrammed i could manage to kill a bat and 3 bandits on my first playthrough, obviously i had to learn how to parry more things like a megalodaunt, u have to practice a LOT, I MEAN A LOT to dominate deepwoken, because there's a thing called chime of conflict or voidwalkers that 1 or 2, ur chased by black things to death (not always) or u can force urself to get absolutely destroyed in pvp, and forces u to search builds or create one, SO U CAN ATLEAST handle a little bit the big difference of skill in pvp EVEN AT 600-700 ELO (u start whit 800)
Pilgrammed seems fun cuz it includes a bunch of buildcrafting, im a guy who enjoys games like the division 2 and destiny 2 so i will try it out

Deepwoken actually gives you quest to go to the 1st island for progression if you talk to the 1st npc you meet with one of the top options with a marker how to get a boat and where to go and deepwoken is not holding your hand for a reason if you just get told do this do that or quests like slay 20 of these the gameplay gets repetative or you don't feel like you achived a lot bc the game handholds you the whole time and ye deepwoken isn't perfect for things like balancing but it is still a quality game and the deepwoken ones may feel bad if you play in wrong regions like if you are eu player and you play in usa servers
As a deepwoken player it was hard in the beginning but i had it lighter everyone was nice to me and taught me how to play, also gave me aton of loot, now thatnks to them im goated

Deepwoken is meant to be confusing. It's fuck around and figure it out ahh game. If you understand the basic and where to go this game is above Pilgrammed I am not saying Pilgrammed is bad game but fighting normal enemy is lackluster and some bosses are not well thought out.

deepwoken is very boring at first, pilgrammed starts much better, and is more fun honestly
considering the amount of lore the game has (a ton), players are encouraged to explore and find out about the world, but at the same time new players are directly punished from not knowing how to pvp from the moment they played the game for the first time, cuz voidwalkers
@@Quasho.You literally don’t have to for most things I would say, you just aren’t given an incentive that goats you toward figuring out what each thing you have to do is. Aka like a guide or quest or pointer for example. But if you just go through the areas you will find out for yourself. It’s right there. The the souls franchise does this shit even worse than deep in some quest lines or areas across the games 😭.

Deepwoken doesn’t really have a story line. It’s more like a player ability build game but requires effort. That’s basically my analysis. The bosses are fun but it requires a lot of googling and etc and trying out new bosses on ur character as a normal build is risky so you’d have to make several builds for pvp, bounty hunting, pve and more. It’s a great game but not really any main objective but to look cool and have a feel of souls + rogue experience.

@@Quasho. :salute: dont get me wrong the tutorial doesn't give you everything but it's a good start. if you do play more deepwoken, try talking to more NPC's they'll especially the one at the inn who will guide you to the starter island via quest marker, while ill admit theres a lot you do on your own on deepwoken it doesn't give you many pointers, thats apart of the exploration factor.
I know deepwoken has the worst learning curve but you got to try Rogue Lineage, that game is the worst when it came to learning and trying to survived. Because when you die, there is no going back other than find a god damn pseudo artifacts to get your life back otherwise you wiped.

I played deepwoken the first time and it was absolutely amazing, I legit felt like an adventurer wandering a vast world. I had no prior experience and did not watch a single deepwoken vid till I hit 10 hours on the game. It was hella fun, sure I could never escape the depths and sure I wasn’t good at fighting bandits. But what I learned about deepwoken is that it’s trial and error, you will die hundreds of times but eventually you’ll get to the point where surviving is relatively easy.
what I’m tryna say is, deepwoken is a good game, you just have to start the game and learn how to stuff in your own, and then explore the vast world. In the vid you legit did not go anywhere but 2 places when there are tons and tons of locations

You sound like you had fun and an unnatural affinity for this game. That’s what the footage showed for quality, but I assure you there’s an hour and a half of cut out footage when I used my boat and when to different islands and died and stuff
I have 1.3k hours on deepwoken now, after the 500 hour mark it got boring because nothing could wipe me.

EDIT: I played Pilgrammed and met a really nice guy, he helped get through the first area, what a great community!
rate Devas of creation (btw I alredy must say that if you are a solo player... or maybe also multiplayer because I only play solo. After going a bit far you will have to grind alot of items, but for some reason this specific game somehow make me have fun in it, maybe it is because I can actually do something or because after a certain level the enemys gets brains and will use things like block and parry)
