I wanted to thank you for taking the time to make and share your videos. I ordered the repair kit today and will be making that rib tool soon. Without these videos I don’t know if I would have tackled the repair and the poor canoe sat for over 25 yrs because of the hole in the bottom. TY.
Wow, thanks so much for taking the time to do this video for me. I watched your previous video where you shot your canoe (it was entertaining). Again thanks very much, I do appreciate it. I am a subscriber to your channel.
If you can make sure it bonds 100%. It should work. However, the ugly patch puts extra aluminum to strengthen the area that was stretched/ ripped both inside and out, making this the toughest area. But end of the day whatever works best for you is what you should do. I will give it a shot myself thanks
@davehall338 ya the foam is almost useless in the repair kit. Only for someone who hacks a chunk out of the liner to put the patch in. Sounds goofy but it happens enough to stick some foam in the kit. I agree with lack of instructions, I'm the guy who gets to answer the questions on the phone, so I decided videos are the trick

You are welcome. Good luck with the repair job
Keep up the great videos, Sportspal should compensate your great educational videos.
Doing something that I enjoy is compensation enough for me

If you ever have the chance can you go over hoe you deal with leaks at the side seams? I just got a used sportspal and it's leaking there.
I will try to get it in the mix. Thanks for checking us out. Cheers from North Bay
Thanks Dave ... wouldn't JB Weld do the same thing without putting an unattractive patch on it ? That's all I use on my Sportspal

Does the tube of Adthane go into a regular caulking gun?
Yes it does
@@GettenanyOutdoorsSportspal Thank you very much for the helpful videos, and for letting me know!
Also, how can I get a close up view of that rib tool so I can make one?
Did you stumble across this one

Instead of the small screws, could rivets work in this case as well?
Yes they would
Would using aluminum rivets be a better option?
I think either is ok. Rivets slight edge though
still can't figure out what the piece of foam is for? Got a repair kit but nothing said on instructions or video re foam piece.
