Congrats on the new canoe. Take it to the BWCA, you will love it. I did an 8 day there last year. Portaged a Northstar 17, 42 lbs by myself the entire time, my buddy has bad wheels.
I must say that the oar locks and oars on this canoe are a sportspal thing not Canadian. Being Canadian and having spent many, many hours in a canoe the only one I have seen with oars is my buddies sportspal.
