    Quality comparison! Hey...you are stacking tips and tricks into your video comparisons. This packs them full of great information, but makes the videos very difficult to 'mine' for the content that's relevant to an issue a user is having (Liam Li fans, dual port USB header, helpful apps, benchmark/stability testing tools, etc...). With respect, a recommendation for a new video or series: You go back and cut all of the troubleshooting/tips/tricks into a single video or series of videos, with chapters that users can select in order to find help for their relevant issues. Then post the video(s) in a new playlist on your channel that makes it convenient for us to find. PC Build Troubleshooting Apps, Tips, & Tricks, maybe? Just an idea! Keep up the great work!

      @@blackbirdpctech honestly that’s a valid answer the rtx 4080 super. I’m guessing the gre is pretty good. For me tho since my first gpu and desktop was from this generation would be the Rx 7900 xt, it has great performance and with my new build it’s gonna be fully unlocked and I’ll experience for a bit. Also what gou would u recommend including used market that wouldn’t be to much of a step down like down to the rtx 3070 levels of performance would recommend? I’m going to sell my current gou and rig bc I need the money for a new monitor and other stuff yk but wanted a decent replacement that could get me by until the rtx 5080 or 5090

      So this may surprise you but at those levels I would give the Intel A770 a shot (I did a review of it ... it has a really attractive price point) ... the drivers have been fixed and it now performs at a level similar to the 3070 ... but it also can handle editing, AV1 encoding, etc. I really liked the 7900 XT when I compared it against the 4070 Ti Super, but I chose the GRE because it has been priced aggressively to deliver amazing value ... not sure why it took AMD so long to release it in the US.

    A neat tip. The PTM7950 sold at LTT can be used to replace thermo paste and it eliminates the need for repasting. Just clean your fans and blow out your heatsink fins and your ready to go. And for the ones using custom water cooling. Even better. Unless it gets gunked up, there is no need to ever tear it apart. Just remember to chill it in the fridge before you apply. Makes it way easier.

    Hi! I've bought used RTX 3070 Inno 3D for 225$ 2 month ago. Sadly it is still waits for PC build... Planning to play CP 2077, Stalker 2 and Hogwarts Legacy at 1440p. Want to get full budget before black Friday. This week i thought of selling it for the same price but new stuff costs too much and will delay PC build even more... And used 3080 starts at 450$, new 4070 is 600$. I think it's better to tweak settings in fall than wait for "budget" GPUs in next spring...

    coffee filters are so handy 1 because there lint free. other things to note is be very careful of the small contacts around the gpu and do not apply considerable pressure as thats a raw gpu die and you could damage it. as someone who owns a 4070 super coming from a 2060 super its worth it due to same or similar power draw but double the performance. if your in the uk or Europe where electric prices are insane its a good buy. also the nvidia occing software i didnt know about however because nvidias default fan curve is insanely annoying like the fans will only kick in full gear when its actually in the danger zone not before it. I would try that test again with a custom fan curve if you haven't already and see if you get better results. and yes i play at 2k/ 4k may look prettier but it isnt worth the frame drop.

      @blackbirdpctech  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Great adds … I need to play around with the app more … some of the results I got are strange. Wrt custom fan curves, for the gpu I was testing I had set the fans at a constant speed to push air through the rad … for the 4070S I’m sure it will make a difference.

      @@blackbirdpctech I think its just pushing as much voltage as it can while upping clocks. ive heard yet to test it myself that the gpu is good at undervolting. i use a method of hw monitor while stressing testing with 3d mark to get the native max voltage the card will push with what clocks it can get to find the average it hits then lock it to that clock so theres less wild swings. other thing i noticed with your repaste will temps where minor it did increase its clock speed ever so slightly. from 1500/1560. it also used slightly less vram because of the clock. i would assume after some power cycles and the paste gets a bit more cured ( i dont care what thermal paste manufacturers say there is a cure time with all paste and its about 2-4 weeks of regular use. ive seen 3 degrees drops from thermal paste and a more stable boost clock. ( its why i use 3d mark as it gives a line graph at the end which i can plot when the gpu had a massive swing. also double check hotspot temp on 4070 super mine was going into 96c after stress testing which to me is to uncomfortable so im doing a full removal of pads and repaste see if i can get that right down did it to a 2060 super and it dropped everything to 65 c and a 75 on hotspot temp and the graph was way more stable.

    • @blackbirdpctech
      @blackbirdpctech  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It's definitely a beta feature ... Nvidia should use their prowess in AI to do a smart overclock ... hopefully that is a feature that is coming. I explained the process I use to do a manual overclock for GPUs in a prior video ... I switch it up a little for AMD GPUs because I've found that they respond extremely well to undervolting. You are spot on about cure time for the thermal paste ... it typically takes a while to set properly. I did run HWMonitor while testing the 3070 and the hot spot temp improved a few degrees, but it was still relatively low. I recently re-pasted a 4090 that I received back from Asus and the temp improvement I got was about 15 deg C ... clearly they didn't reassemble the card correctly. For my 4070S when I ran 3DMark Speed Way, Port Royal and Steel Nomad my GPU temps were all around 67 deg C and my hot spot temps were around 81 deg C, so not too bad ... pretty sure if I do a repaste for that card I will get the temps down.

      @@blackbirdpctech with my 2060 super i change the pads ever so slightly to a more compressive pad i found the factory pads where not allowing for good contact. i dunno what paste the 4090 use but i found the paste in the 2060 super was quite poor quality ( i had it 3 months). another new card i disassembled i found the paste was almost bone dry and they were using not full thermal pads lol like half of 1 on each. theory is with my experience that they made these cards ages ago and where just accumulating stock before releasing by the time there released the paste on the card is dry as hell where ever there storing them.

      Misinformation posts like this are important to leave up because I think it's a good opportunity to learn. There is absolutely NO difference between the GPUs used in different cards of the same variant (beyond typical silicon lottery variations). So a 4070 Super GPU is the same regardless of what brand sells it. The only difference is the cooling solution, board layout, power delivery, etc. However, assuming that the cooling solution is sufficient, none of these items will impact the performance at stock settings. In fact, these GPUs from Nvidia are all voltage constrained, so even if you have an ultra expensive card with the best quality components, you will end up hitting a voltage limit. You can see this with the ROG Matrix Platinum 4090, which I tested extensively. Furthermore, the Asus Dual card that I tested in this video is definitely not a "shit" make as you state ... Asus may have service related issues but they design and produce high quality components.
