Greatly apreciate those types if videos, comparing different brands. Keep the quality!
You and your team always do such a great job. Thanks.
I love how you point out that in gameplay we won’t be able to telll the difference but fan noise and temps and power consumption so matter and they are the decision makers / deal breakers.
I love the channel for the fan noise tests. 98% of the other channels make shit 50mins benchmark videos without the most important point the fan noise and temps
Exactly. The only two things that really matter is noise and temps. I have heard that for every 10 degrees hotter a chip runs, it reduces the life by half. Thus, the memory chips in an Aero will be about 6-8x longer than the memory chips in the Asus Dual fan model. If you change boards every year to the latest and greatest, that doesn't matter, but if you normally run the same video card for 5+ years (or if you buy used cards), it may be of greater significance.
@carlr2837 yeah thats bs, higher temps and thermal cycling will lead to lower life span, but its nowhere near the half for every 10°C lol
@@ThunderingRoar That rule is based on applying the Arrhenius equation, but that only applies to certain types of degradation. In many cases the equation has provided accurate predictions, but there is some debate how broadly it applies. For my purposes, it is close enough. I have no doubt that a CPU or GPU will last a lot longer at 70 degrees than at 100 degrees. Whether it is a difference of 8x or not, I can't say, but I do try to keep my chips at lower temperatures.
😂 dude i want that 3 fps
Thank you for the information
Great content, as always
Great review! Thank you!!
Hi Nada! Congrats for your great content! Very straight forward and objective, specially the charts :)
Hello. Great channel that already helped me to get the 990 Evo ssd as os drive and now I am here for the GPU. I could get my hands on both the founders edition and the windforce for 590€ both. The comparisons says that the windforce is louder but cooler than the fe. What's about coil whine? And which of these would you pick considering the price point? Thanks and keep going.
great videos! thanks so much !
Thank you so much for posting this excellent review. I really like your presentation style and videography, both of which are outstanding.
Nice video. Will there be more models reviews on videocards RTX4070 TI Super?
Definitely want that review. I’m looking to build a new pc with that card
the rx7800xt is better and cheaper
Yeah but for now DLSS3 is making it better@@heldermonteiro2718
Thanks! And the Ti Super is coming with 7 cards.
@@TechTesters Very nice. Waiting
Would it be possible to include what MSI Afterburner can raise power levels to? I.E. on my 3070 I can extend power to 109%. I’m not asking what performance result happens, but I am curious what OC is possible between the cards and helps with decision making for me and I’m sure others as well.
Great work and thank you!
Fantastic video, would love to see more, maybe even for rtx 4060? Anyway, keep up the good work and thank you for valuable lessons and making gpu choices easier.
I bought the FE. I always wanted a FE and the all black is super nice and premium. It's really quiet, no coil whine and playing HFW temps stay nice and cool, under 65degs. I always had coil whine with Asus cards.
I'm enjoying my RTX 4070 Super Asus Dual oc. Thanks for the detailed review Techtesters!
Thermal problem or something?
@@w-xing5250 No problems here.
Hello Techtesters! I wonder if you used the OC or non OC version of the Inno3D GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER Twin X2 in the video
Kia Ora & Good Morning from North Shore, Auckland, New Zealand ...great video... .
Nice content. Such a the great job.
That exact comparison of gaming power is amazing and exactly what I needed. Thank you so much for the non-bias and for the straight-to-the-point examination! Brilliant!
great work as always
Thanks!
This video helped me make a very informed decision, thank you. I went with the FE model.
Thank you! 😊
Nice, thanks. I've been waiting for a review that compared the Asus Dual to the TUF...
Thank you.
Love your videos ❤
I spent $600 on my 4070 super the fact that it's mid-range makes me sad. Post covid PC gaming can kind of suck sometimes lol
yeah, it's so hard to purchase any GPU because the longevity vs price just isn't the same as it used to be
@@Henrique-wv9xq yeah seriously and part of that is Nvidias problem locking features behind their pay walls. If AMD could figure out a form of frame generation I'm sure Nvidia could have figured something out for 30 series cards pretty easily. But nope lol.
It's Nvidia ripping you off 😅
today's mid range can do 100+ fps 1440p ultra gaming, even path tracing with dlss quality/balanced and frame gen at over 80 fps, so it's really good, don't be stuck at that "mid" or "high" end terms
All depends on definition. These are all high end cards imo. An Arc A750 or A770 are more midrange and cost around 3-400 dollars less.
I got a Zotac Twin Edge 4070 Super for £50 off it's normal price of £589 in the UK in a flash sale, so cheaper than the non-Super MSRP! It's more compact than any of these other cards, good for a SFF mini-ITX build, but I really don't like Zotac's current designs - I much prefer Nvidia's FE aesthetic and all-metal build. Still, it runs quiet and fairly cool for its size. The best thing is you get 5 years of warranty - 3 years as standard with 2 extra years if you register within 28 days of purchase.
Would you pay a bit extra for the dual vs Ventus oc? £13 difference (543 vs 530)
Dual in 2 tone gray/white looks beautiful for my build. At half the size of 3080 aorus Xtreme and performs lot better for far less power per watt is amazing. Truely 1440p card
I bought myself white 4070s Asus Dual at an affordable price and do not regret at all. Under the undevolting, the Temp around 60-63 degrees, the memory temperature fluctuates around 72-74 degrees. And all this is 2775MHz clean. The card is quiet and compact. I perfectly approached my white compact building.
Great video as usual! surprising variations on temps, for me that is a decision maker metric, but I am not sure 100 bucks more worth that difference in temps.
Thanks. And Id say no ;)
Great video :) thank you for the comparison .. but you are missing gaming x slim from MSI :( .. I am deciding between the aero and gaming x slim .. which one would you get ? I wonder which one would be quieter and cooler.
msi > gigabyte for GPUs imo. msi uses double ball bearings in all of their models and gigabyte uses sleeve-bearing for anything other than auros in this price range. no excuse to put cheap fans on a $650 card is how i see it.
thanks .. I am leaning more to the MSI :) @@lukelarson2409
I like the new 12VHPWR connection on some ( this one included ) PSU's-
I bought the Thermaltake 750 watt tough power true 300 12VHPWR last August ( there wasn't a lot of options then for this connection then ) to power my 4070 Ti
Seasonic is a very good brand
Thank you for doing this comparison 🙂
I have a Sapphire 6800 16 gig it is outdated now but i am quite happy with it. Nice review. I leave a comment for TH-cam search.
I wonder if you remember? We had a discussion about 6700 vs 6800 you said for the price difference you would go for the 6800 so i did. Best decision ever.
Your pal Coco
I don’t remember every topic but I remember names well enough ;) glad you liked it!
Oredered the TUF triple fan right after this video. Thank you!
Enjoy it!
Thanks for all the info! I especially appreciate the thorough inspection about noise and thermals! Seriously, it's so difficult to find a good review even for a specific model, and you did great with a ton of them!
Any chance we can get an MSI 4070 Super Gaming X Slim review? I've been thinking on pulling the trigger for that one but haven't found a good enough review
I doubt the MSI Slim will perform poorly tbh, but I haven’t seen it myself
I have the Asus Dual, and my core temps sit around 73c with fans spinning 47-50%. We are currently in midst of summer where I live (Zambia) with average temps of 34c. Perhaps that explains my high temps.
Less than 40c above ambient temperature with the fans at or below 50% is very good. GPUs can run at 70-80c all day no problem.
Truth what you said about coil whine. It is not a characteristic of a card, but more the combinationation of power supply and card. Some Outubers say it is more likely to occur with highly efficient power supplies and single cables leading to gpu. In other words, choose adequate psu.
And yet some cards don't do it regardless of PSU. So cheaper just to buy that type of GPU seeing as you'll already have a PSU if you're upgrading.
Yeah I’ve owned top tier MSI gpus like Suprim and Gaming X paired with Corsair and now my 4080 SuprimX is paired with Super Flower leadex vii and have zero coil whine. I tried Asus instant coil whine. On my 2nd build I’ve used Thermaltake, Corsair and Seasonic PSUs paired with FE, MSI, Gigabyte, no coil whine. Paired with Asus, coil whine.
Tldr definitely depends on the pairing!!
I got the Asus Dual in white - freaking kicks butt for the $$. Love it!
Nice, hope you're enjoying it :)
I love how people label these cards "mid range". They have never been mid range and never will be.
The fact that we now have more variety of top-end GPU's is great but the 4070 is by no means midrange since they run everything at 1440p 120+ fps smoothly.
This is probably the best review i could wish for rtx 4070 super. ty very much
Hello. What do you think about Asus ProArt GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER OC ?
I love how you stuck GPUs 😊
I just ordered the asus dual 4070 super and now after watching the video im kinda concerned about the memory temperatures is there any downside of it running at 80+°? Because imo it was the best lookin
80 on the memory is completely fine. Those parts are made to run hotter anyway.
@@TechTesters wow thanks for the quick and nice answer!! I was just a bit concerned because if was the hottest but after some research i also read that everything under 90 is fine👍🏻
amazing content
Hi Nada. This is a great example of the saying, "Six of one half dozen of the other."
just bought the gigabyte eagle OC ICE 4070Super! It has silent and oc mode!

Great review, gets to all the important points without hyperbole or annoying, unwanted 'important youtuber' nonsense.
Thank you for making this, really useful! I'm actually aiming for Zotac Trinity, small premium from msrp. Cool, quiet and 5y Warranty.
Wow 5 years warranty, in my country Zotac cards only offer 2 years of warranty.
@@VanJ78 it's 3y standard warranty +2 extended if you register via their website.
@@VanJ78out of the box they offer 2/3 years only but after registering the card you get extending warranty upto 5 years
@@justinhawk835 nah in my country, registering Zotac product doesn't extend warranty i see it in Zotac website in warranty policy.

Aero oc is king !
Inno3D white edition of this GPU looks really professional. I'm glad at least someone is making decent looking GPU. Aero is definitely better but yeah that "aero" extra tax is just bad.
The way she stroked that power supply at the end 😂

I recently got a 4070 super founders edition and it’s an awesome little gpu, and in my opinion it’s definitely the best one.
Yes never can find it stock though.

Stacking all the cards on top of eachother like some form of gpucentipede is wild
It's nice to see someone review the Windforce. Now I know to avoid it like the plague, terrible noise/'C. :D
What about gigabyte eagle? From my understanding it should be same cooler as windforce but just different shape and with 2nd silent bios. The noise is only thing keeping me from windforce.
Atleast you guys include hotspot temps (would be nice with mem too) unlike most other major reviewers on youtube and even the web. Think only Techpowerup offers hotspots aswell. The rest are hugging the companies real hard making sure not to step on their toes with their 90c+ hotspots instead just showing their cute 60c core temps.
Mem temps are in there too :)
Very helpful. Will you be doing a similar brand comparison for the 4070ti super and 4080 super?
4080 super is already up on the channel. Ti Super is coming in a few days!
Please help me: I bought an asus dual and it had crazy coil whine and a few quirks that annoyed me like it wouldn't stop changing the max fps in Nvidia settings to off. It was driving me nuts. Also it randomly bsod. So returned that.
Currently looking at what else is avail. I was going to get msi(saw the vrm heating issues) so atm the gigabyte 4070s gaming oc as it's on sale for 629. Does anyone know if it directly compares to the aero? It seems like the same cooler and heatpipe design but I haven't really been able to find any comparisons like this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Also I am getting it from best buy because shipping has been a nightmare. Currently ups has sent the return 4070s to Indiana and then back towards me on the east coast and now it's been mia for 4 days. I dropped it off March 21. Lol so yea Im over shipping expensive pc parts as this is the 2nd time now I got a package damaged and then it had an issue. It sucks because Amazon is hard to compete with when they will have a gpu at your door same day.
the prices are mad, I have to stick with my 3070 for now and then pull the trigger on the 5070 right away.
already on my list for aaa games to play when I get the new card: Avatar, Horizon Zero Down 2, Alan Wake 2,what else?
So is the dual automatically not worth it because of that 80 degree memory temp
is eagle or windforce for same price? which is better?
I always went with ASUS for GPUs, gigabyte having more years of warranty doesn't offset their much lower quality use of components. My ASUS Phoenix 1060 has been running since 2016, baked in dust, never cleaned, never re-paste, everything still working perfectly today, fans are good, temps are good.
I got the Gigabyte Gaming OC just because of the 4 years warranty. Not too shabby imo
I have it also 4080 Super and working great so far. No coil noise, in some older games 1080p 8W power draw.
@@jacqueslafeyyou got a 4080 super to game in 1080p?
@natel7382 some older games do not scale well. Point is how energy efficient card is.
Please add zotac's and msi's 4070 super in this comparison video or in future video cause those are also available in my area and I would like to know about those as well. Appreciate your videos.
Thanks! Usually I have more MSI cards but supply has been poor with this chip. No Zotac plans unfortunately. They’re harder to get here and Zotac hasn’t been interested in sending out any for comparisons.
ill be waiting for msi cards thank you for the info. Honestly there are only a few tech channels that are as to the point as yours, when it comes to hardware. Keep up the good work. @@TechTesters
Got the 4070 super asus white OC none evo edition. Don't get the evo guys! It has worse fans and fins. Performance on none evo is just better.
The cooling on my card is so so good and performance is insane overall. was surprised the white one feels all metal besides the little front piece.
Like the one in the video only half of the space is covered by a heating and fins. Mine covers the entire open and gap. Better cooling all the way. Hers is an evo.
It doesn't cost 10 to 20 dollars more then the evo but it's so worth it and getting a white one gauruntees you to a none evo version.
Asus doing there sneaky stuff trying to get rid of leftover 3000 seriees components. Also the fans on the evo is 90mm while the ones on the none evo are 100mm.
I have to ask you, is silent mode strictly about the fan curve?
Because i believe you can alter your fans individually in a different program without bios, or do you need bios mode in order to alter it?, otherwise that would be a rip-off
I love my new ASUS Dual GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER. Quiet and powerfull.
Please do this for the Ti Super.
Next video ;)
You guys know what? In my region 4070 super starts from $750 and I bought that, I don't know whether it makes sense for that cost now
I love the Nada head shake when she says "let's begin" in her videos. 😊
I have the 4070 super aero and even the silent bios setting is awfully loud
Get the Asus dual or Tuf they are way More silent
That's my experience with previous Gigabyte cards, they have some annoyingly loud fans.
Cant you set a nice fan curve through msi afterburner?
@@cyberpunk59 Nobody is buying a card just to set a fan curve in afterburner
And btw the lowest rpm on the aero 4070 super ist 30% 1000rpm and it's still loud AF and u fortunately u can't set the fans under 1000rpm Wich is straight up dump
@@JJ-gk5tn I already heard this kind of speech before "ah nobody buys a 7950x3d to tinker with it, everyone buys a cpu for it to work the best directly"
If you don't tinker with your gpu at that basic level, an aero isn't made for you.
As for the minimum speed being 30% and still too noisy. I think your card has an issue. Because if in this test, they could reach as low as 32db just with setting the silent bios, which is very close to base ambient noise for a normal room, I have a hard time imagining it being as noisy as you describe it.
@@cyberpunk59 it's about GPU fans and not about a fuckin CPU bro
And nope I brought it back they tested it the cars is fine the fans are just loud and they said I'm not the first person who turn in a gigabyte card because it's loud
Honestly they look good but the fans are straight up garbage
Just trained in for a Asus dual 4070 super Wich has only two fans and still is way more quiet
In terms of GPUs I can only recommend Asus
Don't listen to these gigabyte fanboys
The GPUs from them are shit AF
Are the 30 series end of life now? in my region (Oceania), I can't get 3070 and above without paying $1100-2000. Meanwhile, a Gigabyte Windforce 4070 super is $900. What's the go with that?
Really nice video, but:
I would buy a 4070 super by Gigabyte, gaming oc or eagle, but is difficult found differences in terms of noise and temperatures.
Does anyone know more than me? Thx
The super cards have come down in price very quickly compared to the 4070. I picked up mine for €630 and then a month later, my dad's for €590! Crazy!
From what i know in my country Nvidia AIB like Inno3D,Zotac their cards under MSRP because they only offer shorter warranty not like Palit,MSI,Asus, Gigabyte and Galax/KFA2. I don't know with Inno3D EU if they offer shorter warranty or not. The white version of Gigabyte looks great.
INNO3D has a 3 years warranty in Europe
I got a Zotac card in the UK, which has a 5 year warranty if you register.
Those aren't bad temps for the junction and hotspot temps. The Gigabyte eagle OC and msi ventus 2x seem to be warmer on the hot spot at 85c+ and are louder so i'm looking to avoid those models.
can you tell me the performance difference between aero oc , gaming oc and windforce oc. i am confused which one should i pick.
Aero and gaming seem to be almost the same. I'm also trying to clarify tho as I cant figure out why the aero is the most expensive as it has the same clocks as gaming oc. Same size cooler. You'd think there would be way more comparisons out. More detailed too. Did you end up buying any of them? What do you think? I had asus dual but it wasn't good. Looking for an alternative.
@@natel7382why was asus dual not good?
@@Resetstock the card itself wasn't that bad minus a little coil whine. But it started started randomly bsod. Also it wouldn't stop turning off my max fps setting in Nvidia control panel. I couldnt figure out the bsod issue and the max fps turning off after every reboot I was over it and sent it back.
My windforce is coming tomorrow
did you buy it, im considering get it too, but not sure if to go with gigabyte or asus dual since both are same size and windforeca has smaller fans.
No msi or rog strix?
More 4TB ssd reviewes pls.
Any plan to do the same roundup with AMD cards?
If I can ever get my hands in enough cards in one class :/
I wish you included a Zotac card and MSI card. maybe those aren't big in Europe but their massive here in the USA.
I usually include MSI they were just late this time around. Zotac is hard to get a hold of for me.
in model asus dual evo what temperature ? better?
LOL! Cheaper cards... Good video as always. 😋😇
4070 ti super eound up when
im using INNO3D 4070 super twin for a month now,60 to 70c temp at gaming, fans are still silent af
Nice. Enjoy it!
Great! I, just bought the same GPU 2 days ago. Was it the OC version or the non OC version? This video is one of the very few really good reviews of it. But it's still working fine right? I haven't picked up the package yet, I saw today that the windforce model are on sale now for the same price so I've been wondering if I should replace it with the Gigabyte model. Is it possible to undervolt the card aswell or does it have a lock?
Well for me it's MSI Ventus 2X since it's the smallest
There is little reason most of these should be fatter than dual slot save to plump up AIB partner profits and stroke buyers' egos. We're being conditioned to see bigger as better; however, Ada cards from this level downward just don't really justify being matched with big heatsinks.
First, the review notes "none of them are super loud", and indeed some of the quietest are the smallest in volume. There also isn't any massive separation in performance between anything in this roundup; Nvidia demands tight controls on what AIB partners can bring to market (except size, where apparently 80-class coolers can be reused for even 60-class models now). And Ada efficiencies over Ampere also allow us to look for cooler designs on a diet. There is some width and length to play with to offer in lieu of the now almost-default triple-or-quad-slot heatsink design, too.
What do we get back -- besides the insanity? Well, hopefully some sticker price. But for sure we get at least one PCIe slot back with most motherboards (interestingly, only Gigabyte ATX boards have layouts that make room for triple-slot GPUs without blockages on dual x16 secondaries). And to be clear, I haven't said to spike all the big boy coolers. They just need to be reduced in number.
No one ever talks in dept about how toasty the memory junction gets on any of this cards on any channel. I can assure you that on all these cards in high stress scenarios like GPU rendering and even in some games(Rust for example) will easily exceed 90degrees.
no MSI cards?
Hi, whould you mind to make a review on Asus RoG Strix Geforce RTX 4070 TI SUPER OC?
