I would pick the 3070, which roughly 5% faster vs the 4060 Ti 16gb. It will save you a few $$ as the games you play will still suit the VRAM of the 3070. When GTA6 comes out, just upgrade your GPU. 👍
I can't see any difference in most of these videos. It seems to me, as you're playing, you would notice even less if you are concentrating on game play. People spend all these $100's of dollars more just to see the OSD show better numbers. It's too expensive a game for me.
Just try to focus on frametimes. Most competitive-leaning players will notice deviations on frametimes in critical moments. For casual players, some will notice this.. and most will just dismiss it as "something's off with my aim today". The video is a mostly summary/analysis as noone really likes to watch full benchmarking runs. For single player AAA games, having frametime deviations will not be as critical compared to a live service competitive games. 👍
I find it that my cpu is a bottleneck and not for the right reason. My 3070 can run evrything but Withcher 3 with raytracing. Without Raytracing it can run all other settings on ultra. and any other game. Most people that complain about 3000 series prob run walpaper engine and dont realise that it kills any gpu.
its a 1440p card. so... yes! Only... don't expect ray-tracing. That will eat too many resources with giving little in return in most games.(and the 3070 isn't so good at it) But other then that? You will have smooth gameplay.(unless you do NOT have a processor who can feed the card with data. I talk about i7 from 4-5 years old or a current year i5 or Ryzen equal)

@@idk-ng3oj I think the 3070 is the max(or close too max) graphic card your CPU can handle. So props with that! Nothing wasted! If you have stutters or problems in the future, just open task manager, and check which component has the highest load. Then that part should be upgraded. But in your case? I think your computer is balanced and ready to go for a few years on 1080p. Your computer is as powerful as it gets for 1080p with good overhead, and even some decent room toward 1440p. Then in the next coming years, upgrade first your screen to 1440p, and after that, buy an entirely new computer suitable for 1440p.
For competitive 1080p gaming, it should be fine. If you play AAA games, it may be a bit of a struggle and you may need to lower settings because of its limited VRAM. Your next upgrade might be to increase RAM capacity, this is a cheap upgrade but will work wonders ($59) - amzn.to/4aWe2La

I would pick the 3070, which roughly 5% faster vs the 4060 Ti 16gb. It will save you a few $$ as the games you play will still suit the VRAM of the 3070. When GTA6 comes out, just upgrade your GPU. 👍
@@OverseerPC-Hardware that's the issues i usually upgrade in 6 to 7 years , my current card is the GTX 1060
4060 ti, it's better. I have one.
I just head you speaking like a South African, I subed and likes ASAP
Thanks for the support bro 👍
What CPU do you have?
@@OverseerPC-Hardware Intel i7 10700 2.9Ghz
the problem with it is most games I play are not well optimised for CPU.
i scored a 3070 fe for $220, am i gonna be good for 4-5 years? i play 1080p
its a 1440p card. so... yes! Only... don't expect ray-tracing. That will eat too many resources with giving little in return in most games.(and the 3070 isn't so good at it)
But other then that? You will have smooth gameplay.(unless you do NOT have a processor who can feed the card with data. I talk about i7 from 4-5 years old or a current year i5 or Ryzen equal)
i have an i5-11600kf, and 16gb of ddr4. but no matter what, i think ill always be on low-med settings LOL. i came from igpu so im used to keep power and fps up while visuals can take a hit
Your next upgrade might be to increase RAM capacity, this is a cheap upgrade but will work wonders ($59) - amzn.to/4aWe2La
how do u get 500 fps in val but on my rtx 3070 i barely get 300 on comp settings
This is the CPU we used - amzn.to/3u8a5TB
What's your PC specs?
@@OverseerPC-Hardwarei have the 5800x and it barely cracks 400 on comp no matter what resolution
Got my Rtx 3070 Asus Strix for 330€.
Is my Ryzen 5 5600x good for my rtx 3070 ? I play on a 1080p 165hz monitor with 32gb ram 3200mhz
That should be fine bro, what PSU and motherboard do you have?
@@OverseerPC-Hardware 500 Watt bequit and msi b450 tomahawk Max 2
You might need to upgrade your PSU, something like this - amzn.to/3VrUedZ
500w will not be enough.
@@OverseerPC-Hardware for know is okay i undervoltet my gpu to 220 Watt and as soon i want to buy a be quit 750 Watt
Ok bro.. just be careful alright. This generation of GPUs was notorious to have micro-power spikes. 👍
Im buy this for 140$ now, very good performance
Big W at that price bro!
I buy for 100 dollars! Msi gaming X
140 bucks!? 😮 That's a steal!
@@partaczpatacz6658 i'm for 99cent
faster than rx 6700xt? now wait a minute
It is though? (is the 6700 really faster then 6700?
no@@darthpotwet2668
Yes faster. I think it was the RX 6800, which was the direct RTX 3070 competitor. AMD just makes such weird naming convention for their segmentation.
@@OverseerPC-Hardware yeah my comment assumed the other person was sarcastic
Yes 100%, my daughter has one in her PC. Plays everything absolutely fine… Forza 5 at 1440p all Ultra + Ray tracing smooth as you like. Fortnite DX 12 at 1080p 120fps medium/high settings with no ray tracing etc. Ryzen 5 5600, 32GB DDR4 3000M/T, 1TB WD Blue PCIE x 3 M.2.
Ive 600w brand fsp..is it enough for rtx 3070 bcuz ive a limited budget for new monitor..should i upgrade psu too?
i have a ryzen 3700x with a 3070 and im getting no where near these frames
You'd need to upgrade your CPU to something like this - amzn.to/3Su2t7z
To achieve similar FPS.
Got one for free recently great card for 1080p
Big W for $0 👌
I’m getting ryzen 7 7800x3d and Rtx 3080 for 300€
How????
@@Ale-hh1xz in eBay not ryzen but the Rtx
I have the same card, suprim x are the best imo
Totally agree, just different build quality.
do i also get that type of fps with a i7 10700kf
maybe close on 1440p but on 1080p i doubt because the 5800x3d is a beast of a cpu which helps push those frames so high
Possibly a bit lower
Nah not wor6h it, just get a new 4060 ti. Hell get an RX 7600 which isn't even that far behind it now. With much newer architecture. It's not all about high framerates.
Why is my 3070 so small is founders edition and is tiny in comparison
The SuprimX is designed to look bigger so they can justify the price premium. The founders is just fine, and honestly I would prefer that compact size with decent cooling, but it isn't available in our region (New Zealand)
I’m struggling to run cyberpunk 4k high settings with the 3070
Its not for 4k
A dog turd on the street is better value than a 4060.
cpu botttelneck
For competitive gaming, CPU bottleneck would be the usual scenario.

OVERPRICED AT $300
Is there something I'm missing? Please tell me where I can get a NIB not refurbished 3070 for 300 dollars. Between Newegg, Wallyworld and Amazon the lowest price hovers around 430 dollars. Right now if you dont care about ray tracing or DLSS you can get a real world price of 380 for a 6800 non xt and it smokes both these cards in competative scenarios without the afforementioned Nvidia enhancements. US region here.
It's from the used marketplaces, bro. There should be heaps of it on that price range.
Why are you people so afraid of buying used? 😅 My 3070 is also used and it works perfectly fine.
I bought mine from Craigslist for 220$
im used to it and actually helpful for my situation
I got a 3070 i7 11700k it’s water cooled, an msi motherboard, and custom painted gpu, custom prebuilt off facebook marketplace for 1300 and it’s been going strong a whole year with no problems and it’s been great
I love my 3070 FE especially since i got it for retail 🫢
