I drove all the new dual cab utes and ended up buying a new MR Triton GLS Premium and been super happy the past 3 months, ive done 4 big trips and never missed a beat... its great off road, drives nice on road and has some really nice new creature comforts that no other dual cab offers... plus the 7 years warranty was the icing on the cake!
Same mate lol
@@feralkittiesforyou8914 we three have the same ride. the best!
4238 kms in 3 months. Mud, rain, on dried river, dusty farm road, country highways, city driving and it never fails to make me "arrive fresh."👍
I’ve got the same one for six months now it’s a good reliable and good looking car but I wouldn’t be so excited about seven years warranty iyou should read the warranty terms and conditions carefully what does it cover and for how much
Why would it miss a beat? Its a new car lol
I really like the 2019 Triton. I was really "meh" with the previous models, but with the update.....Wow, I really want one now. Love the front end, people don't like it with the shock value of something new, but you get use to it and it grows on you. I really think Mitsubishi are on the money with this iteration. People think the world is going to end cause it doesn't go 0-100km/h in 2 seconds. The price point is great as well I think, with all the tech and standard safety features, I think it was a good idea to leave the tonneau cover off as standard, as people put a canopy or a hard cover on. Thanks to PDriveTV for reviewing the 2019 Triton. Got to convince the accountant (wife) to buy one.
I convinced my accountant (wife) and the next day she got me one. Now I can't take my eye of it.
@@mrbrightside3771 Now, I am jealous.
When the Ford's are rusting away with broken engines and gearboxes in ten years at wrecking yards you'll be happy.
2 seconds quicker than the Hilux 2.8lt auto
And this has a 2.4 :)
You sure about that ?
2 benefit of the Mitsubishi 4N15 engine (Mitsubishi Triton MR engine)
Aluminum die cast engine block, and Mitsubishi MIVEC (first diesel engine with variable valve timing)
Holy crap thats quick mind due i do own an 07 3lt patrol that does 0-100 in about 2 minutes
Lol, I have a 06 patrol that I’m trading in for a 2019 triton. Same deal. It’s a slug. Can’t take it anywhere near a city
Excellent video 👏🏻👏🏻
we have a car like this, its a graphite grey😍
Thats really great, its already faster than some mainstream cars, or almost as fast as some.
And yet, this is a big and heavy Pickup truck.
When is the Terra coming to Australia?
istimiwir wong
this triton in south América it's called the "L200". (Chile)
Tomiboss Ps3 in Europe The same
In my country its called the "strada"
Cool
That was faster than I expected but still quite sluggish!
Pickup trucks are about torque more than horsepower as the more heavy payload vehicles after them. But I would avoid Mitsubishi right now that (Renault/Nissan/Mitsubishi) merge is a recipe for poor reliability at least right now. Maybe after sharing platforms, parts and whatnot like Hyundai and Kia maybe by cutting costs they can improve their reliability and spend where it matters the most.
@@raulferro3998 Shut up Scotty Kilmer fanboy. Nobody except morons like Scotty Kilmer own a car for more than 8 years. Everything is reliable until 8 plus years.
@@raulferro3998 no offense but this is rubbish
@@motorbloxx Huh? I never said anything about owning a car for years as you wrote down. Anyway, bus stop is that way champ...
Renault hasn't bastardized Mitsubishi yet. This is probably the last reliable triton. Not that the mn was reliable but only a moron is going to buy a renault
Can you please do the 2019 ford ranger raptor
So awesome 🔥🔥
When are you going to do the Ford Ranger Raptor?
We've asked Ford Australia multiple times for a vehicle to test. They aren't responding.
Nigel Perera still waiting for it to reach 100kmh.....
@@PDriveTV Is that for all Ford vehicles?
Can you test New gle 300d
When you use 4llc...how?
I have tested this ute 2.4 mivec can go 0-100 just in 9.8 second but why it take alot of diffrent from ur review mate? btw it was a great vehicle / pickup truck I've own the old model 2008
This is the best time we got using a Racelogic Vbox Sport. Of course, every vehicle is going to get different results; different conditions, different fuel etc. What timing equipment are you using?
@@PDriveTV Some people just dont get it.....Prob never heard of a vbox...Cant compare anything to a vbox.
Nice
Got smoked by one of these in my 3.2 ranger, came here to find out why!?
the 3.2 Ranger is faster according to Pdrive, so you certainly got smoked because of your lame driving skills
Colorado is quicker than both in the 4 & 5 cylinder class
@@tacuazinful In the real world the triton is quicker than the 3.2 ranger. I found that the triton was really slow in this video. Seen quicker 0-100 times for the triton already.
@@tacuazinful but they're both automatic, unless you put your foot through the firewall 🤷♂️
@@nhosein4209 they have triptronic,.... sooooo
is the 2wd model faster?
Yes due to weight
Does it have overland potential?
Wtf is overland. This is Australia not the land of the free yankie doodles. Can it tour vast distances off road? Yeah, probably for the next 20 years without a problem.
Ohhhhh,.... I just came here because i wanted to be early
How come they don't sell these with those 6B31 v6 petrol engines?!
Because for some reason we don't get petrol trucks in Europe
Cut to the chase 0-100ks in 10.47sec
What kind of TH-cam channel would we be if we just said the time? We wouldn't be a channel at all.
Keep in mind we try to make the videos informative as well, for buyers thinking of purchasing the cars. We also like to think that some of the cars featured would be cool to see in years to come, including seeing the original interiors and hearing the original sounds. We hope you can understand and appreciate that.
You can always just fast forward to the end by the way :)
@@PDriveTV lol thanks
560km of range to 540. Damn

is this triton a 4x2 or 4x4??
4x4
Ones with super select 2 also have an AWD/4wd type mode that is good for road use/loose conditions/wet road.
I bet he manual can beat those numbers
Make a video with that.. Nobody care if it goes so fast.. Isn't a racing car.. It's a of road car..
So it makes more kwts than the 2.8 hilux
It's petrol
@@feralkittiesforyou8914 no it's not you idiot. 4n15
@@feralkittiesforyou8914 Diesel
@@FartOnMePlz lol i know i actually have the car was kidding
@@feralkittiesforyou8914 oh ok 😄 funny thing is though that the petrol ones don't even have a turbo so it's pretty gutless compared to the diesels. These days when buying a ute, diesel is always better unless it's a ss Commodore ute or something like that.
2:35
You're welcome.
It's actually 2:30
Why don’t we see these in North America
Why is there an American on every single Australian car video saying the exact same thing.
I wish we got the Tacoma here...
Americans hate diesel pick ups and prefer V8 petrols.
SuperSelect 4
TORQUE
The back looks so ranger
The rest is good
i give mitsubishi another 3 years before giving up completely
J. Gainez why would they give up? There’s been plenty of people buying these utes for years.
Mitsu is still strong.
It's way too slow for it's price tbh.
No its not. I just bought one. And it is fast asf FYI
Lol then i feel sorry for the hilux
You are right. How is it ever going to win the Bathurst 1000 with those times?
do u need for dakar rally.?
Front is ugly and body is Ford Ranger
No way bro
Hilux conquest 💪💪💪
Tacoma is always the answer
We ain't got tacs in Australia.
