How is your new L200 so far Barry? Ive had 3 of the older models as well as Nissan Patrols and Landcruisers and Hilux, L200 has been the best of the lot off road and for toughness
Great review. For a few months the Triton (L200) has been the 3rd top selling car in Australia. Utes now day rule the sales charts. A great car. Love Mitsubishi. P.S. Nissan don't actually get in the top 10. But the Toyota, Ford and VW do.

Interesting review. Here in Australia Mitsubishi stopped calling it a L200 back in the early 90s, they call them Triton now, with the model being from MH to the current MR. We still have the 2.4 Lt motor but no Adblue option. I had a 1987 L200 but now have a Triton 2009 ML in 3.2 turbo diesel and a Triton 2016 MQ in 2.4 turbo diesel on the farm. The older 3.2 motor has better low down torque than the new ones. Love my Tritons for hard farm work in a dusty country 👍
Tom here: Glad you found the review interesting - having all 3 trim levels makes a world of difference for comparing & contrasting them. Hard work in all types of terrains is what the L200s or Tritons were made for. Their platform is tough, engines resilient & they still pack a load of comfort in the cabin. I'm a big fan of these trucks... check out the video of the time we took one to an indoor snow slope: th-cam.com/video/XIqTkCmx4rQ/w-d-xo.html
It's very good (and rare to see) point to compare between different trim levels. Great thing indeed. Reliability is very important to add here... unlike many other vehicles, with pickups/utes/bakkies its very important to know about their reliability.

I've found the 3.5 ton rating interesting. Is that with all 3 axles braked or simply a 3 axle trailer with at least one braked? Also, do all models/varainfs have diff locks or is that simply on the higher trims?
Tom here: The super select 4WD option is available on the L200 Warrior, Challenger and Barbarian models (1 in the video was a warrior and we have 2 Barbarian models - standard and X). The manual states using a "three-axle braked trailer" which is ambiguous... let me ask Mitsubishi for you.
@@vanaramauk Sweet :) Over here in New Zealand we have the GLX, GLX - R and VRX (vrx being Equivalent to your Warrior X) Only the VRX here has super select 4wd with the Center diff.
