Luke working on cars reminds me of me when I work on cars - lots of struggles combined with liberal amounts of cussing. Luke using his head to hold up the hood was probably the most true to life build scene I've ever seen.

I will say the Fit is the most car 75% of Americans probably actually need. Insanely economical but with SUV-levels of cargo capacity. It's a fascinating triumph of engineering and packaging.

That’s what I’ve been thinking lol. I have a 90 Miata that I’ve been wanting to preserve, so I’ve been looking for a new daily. I ended up with a Fit and fell in love with the handling, cargo space, and the high amounts of praise it’s received. You always tend to see them on the road as well.
I mean for a car that seems as popular as it is though, I was kinda expecting a similar level of aftermarket support to the Miata. Turns out the Fit seems to be incredibly slept on. I’ve noticed lately there’s been a increase in videos on them lately though. I’m suspecting the same thing as you.
I know I’m not the only one who owns a Miata and a Fit as well. With how much more popular the Miata has become, I think that’s probably saying something. To me the Fit feels like Honda’s answer to the Miata, but just with a lot more cargo space. I know I’m likely not the only one who thinks this as well.

Never had much of an interest in cars (nor any confidence I could drive one) until my dad surprised me with a 2011 Honda Fit. This-and smaller cars like the Fiat 500-were the only cars I could ever see myself driving. Feels like I can't "see" as much of the road in bigger/taller cars.
My parents weren't comfortable with me driving a car as small as the Fiat 500, so we went with option #2 [the Fit]. This car has changed my life man, seriously. I'm obsessed with this thing, inside and out.
It's fantastic. The visibility is great, and I prefer the feel of it more than driving newer cars. The lack of knobs and dials is ridiculous on newer cars, and I enjoy the slight "jerkiness" of the Fit. Not sure how to describe it, but driving the Fit feels less like gliding above the road and more like running on the road. I like that a lot. Older cars are better for your privacy too.
I'll be taking my final driver's test in a couple months, and the Fit has played a large part in that happening at all. To say I'm happy with it is an understatement. Hoping to keep it & care for it as long as I can.

I have a 2010 Fit and I have absolutely no idea where to start with mods. I've been dreaming of chucking the whole thing in the bin for years now, but alas, in today's world, I've got to keep it a bit longer. This video gives me hope.

Just in case anyone is wondering. Those Falken Azenis are a awesome tire. I live in Michigan so I only have them on my car from mid April to about mid October. Next April will be the third round on the car. I think after that I will get a new set. They are sticky as glue, do pretty dang good in the rain and are fairly inexpensive.

Man Luke has a great personality and it'd be really cool to see him be more apart of the show. If he ends up being a new host even better cause then we can make fun of them for having the acronym BBL in Ben Ben and Luke. This just in Gears & Gasoline now has a BBL.

Thats awesome my guy. I used to own one of this Fits and love it. Had to sell it back in 2014. Miss it everyday, 2 Civic Si’s later I still one a Fit. They dont have a ton of power but with simple mods like this, they can be plenty of fun. Maybe I’ll find one soon.

I literally JUST bought a 2012 Honda Fit last week! Already have some LED lights and Bilstein coilovers on order!
Just got done watching. You guys gotta refurbish those headlights and add an Intake + Catback! Take it to the track and film a few fun-runs. Maybe a set of seats too?
Gingium did something along those lines to a GD fit in a 4-video series. It was awesome!

I can confirm, people are sleeping on this car.
It drives amazing, very sporty, even with the automatic transmission. The paddle shifters in sport mode are great too. It never upshifts for you, and it can bounce off rev limiter all day. Definitely a hoon-able daily & winter car. Easy to park, cheap gas, very reliable, even past 130k, but also a decent sound system and tons of room inside, even more room than a modern day small "suv"
These are pretty rare, and I project values for clean ones will go up. Again, EXCELLENT first car for an enthusiast, or a daily/winter car. Winter tires keep this car a tossable beast, lol.

As someone who owns a Fit and drives one.. Mod it with Spoon concept.. I'm happy that Luke is happy with the Fit... Time for some power mods.. Exhaust and intake is fine.. Some bars will help with handling.. And don't forget rigid collar... Rear disc brakes improves the braking tremendously..
