  • Today we finish the Honda Fit mini-build! Firstly, we install an awesome budget friendly sound system with Skar speakers, a Skar 4 channel amp, and a subwoofer! Then, we fix the raspy exhaust note by installing a vibrant performance resonator. After that, we give it some finishing touches!

    9:21 This is known as a torsion beam suspension, it's very common in front wheel drive compact cars ever since the 1970s, especially European ones. It has the advantage of being inexpensive to produce while also being a very compact setup to maximize rear cargo space and not overly compromising the ride quality. The best possible handling was of course not high on Hondas priority list for this car, it's supposed to be an inexpensive city car with as much cargo space as possible for its size, so it makes sense why they went with this.

    • @locke.x8638
      @locke.x8638 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      And still, with just some better springs the Car has better handling than some newer and more expensiv Cars. This Car with 2x Hp and Nm would be as much Fun as a Miata NA with the cargo cappacity of a 2020 Focus Turnier in two Seater mode.

      @@locke.x8638 K20 swap and a coilover kit would do wonders for this car. I've thought about doing it myself but currently the 2010 Fit Sport I own is my family car and I can't leave it inoperable for a long time. That would really be the "Fit - Type R" that we'll never ever get here in the US or probably anywhere in the world. Honda is slowly losing their magic since all the EVs have been hitting the market and side impact regulations got stricter here in the US

Therefore the fuse needs to be as close to the battery as physically possible, that way if the wire between the battery and amp gets damaged, the fuse will blow from the short circuit rather than dump infinite amps into the chassis/wire and start a fire

      Do itttttt! They are literally perfect besides the fact they’re slow. But it doesn’t matter because they’re SO fun!

      Fits are fantastic, market for a good one atleast in my area can be tricky. But well worth the search.

      @@_Gingium_ Probably good that they're slow, if the US is anything like here it'll help you avoid many speeding tickets.

      As a fit owner of a year and a half no car has put such a smile on my face like my fit, sure it's slow in straight line; but on back roads and touge is a different story its an absolute weapon to drive in those settings and even in straight line the engine is so punchy and sounds great it will still make you smile! The gas mileage is pretty good and parts are abundant. In short buy a fit you wont regret. God bless :)

    The Infinity Basslink is one driven speaker, and on passive radiator. So not two subs, but a great way to get good sound from a small package.

    great video 👍😁you inspired me to work on my car again ✌ but i wanted to add that the fuse for the amp-wire should always be as close to the battery as possible (not near the amp)

    I’d keep a close eye on that spare tire area. First gen fits are notorious about filling that area up with water when it rains. The seam sealer Honda used on these cars hasn’t held up to the elements good at all. The seals crack letting water in when it rains. There are a ton of write ups on the FitFreak forums. I had to use RTV on mine and that seemed to fix the issue

    Crutchfield usually has a good list of speakers and brackets that fit if you look up your vehicle. I may have missed it, but it’s recommended to have the fuse as close to the battery as possible, in case the wire rubs and causes a direct short.

    It’s called a jazz here in England. If you see one coming the other way, generally you pull over or brace for impact. Strictly for the over 65s. This looks badass though💪🏼😍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿
